Legoland theme parks are different from Disney or Six Flags, because theyโre shamelessly geared toward small children. In fact, if your kids are 10 or older and they enjoy thrill rides more than anything else at an amusement park, youโd probably better skip Legoland resorts altogether. With that being said, if youโve got little ones (2-10 years old), this is the park for you. And youโre going to want all of the Legoland deals to keep this vacation on track.
Not only is this park a great trial run to see if your kids can hang at an amusement park, it also has a lot of little-kid rides and activities. In general, itโs a nice, slower pace than some of the more giant parks and resorts.
But back to that cost, though! Depending on whether youโre at Legloand Florida in Winterhaven, Legoland New York in Goshen, or Legoland California in Carlsbad, tickets can range from $75 -$100 for one person for one day. To make it more affordable, here are some tips to help you do Legoland theme parks on your current budget. Hereโs everything we know about Legoland discount tickets, Legoland on a budget, and how to save money at Legoland.

Limited Time Deal: Buy One Get One Free Legoland ticket
For a limited time you can buy one Legoland ticket and get your second ticket free. You can schedule your visit through Dec. 31, 2023 (Legoland New York through Nov. 26, 2023).
1. Legoland deals can be found when you buy a Go Los Angeles or Go San Diego Cardโsave up to 50% on Legoland California tickets.
A Go Los Angeles card will get you into way more than just Legoland California. Itโll cover admission to Knottโs Berry Farm, Universal Studios, Six Flags, and more.
The catch? You only have a set amount of days to use it. But if you know the exact date your family would like to visit LegolandCalifornia, buying a Go Card will save you a good chunk of change.
Better still, you can use the promo code CMGOCITY10 at checkout to save an additional 10% on a Go Card, meaning a childโs ticket into Legoland California is only $68.40 โ up to $42.59 off the regular admission price.
If youโre lucky, you may even find discounted Go Cards on sites like Groupon, which currently has Go Los Angeles cards for 5% off the regular price, meaning a childโs ticket to Legoland can be purchased for $72.20.
Legoland is included in the Go San Diego card as well.
ย
2. Legoland sneakily hides their best offers; know where to find them.
For Legoland deals, the parkโs website used to feature โKids go free in Octoberโ (or January) or โKids stay and play free in May,โ but those deals havenโt appeared in a while. Youโre not out of luck, though.
If you search for Legoland California deals, however, youโll likely find some promotions such as a buy one adult, get one child ticket free offer on the City of San Diegoโs tourism website. Itโs $130.99 plus tax, which is still a good discount compared to buying an adult ticket and a child ticket for around $175 total.
The Legoland website does have an offer for a free second-day pass (for as low as $136) with the purchase of a one-night stay.
ย
3. Save up to $15 per ticket when you buy online instead of at the gate.
You have to buy at least two days in advance, but itโll be worth the savings.
Legoland Florida ticket prices are $84.99 online but $99.99 at the gate. Legoland California ticket prices are $89.99 per child and $95.99 per adult online but $103 per person at the gate.
Also, look into current special pricing for Legoland deals on their site, because sometimes you can get deals like Buy 1 Day, Get 4 Days Free for $125. Or hotel room, water park, and Legoland park 2-day passes for $149 per person.
ย
4. Book your Legoland hotel through Hotels.com via Ibotta and get up to 6% cash back.
When you book a Legoland hotel stay on Hotels.com through Ibotta, youโll get a percentage of the purchase back. First-time users receive 6% back on their stay, while return users get 2% back.
ย
5. Or skip the California Legoland hotel and stay at Sheraton Carlsbad for 13% less.
Sheraton Carlsbad isnโt LEGO-themed, but it is within walking distance to Legoland California. And itโs 13% cheaper already, but if you book it through Hotels.com via Ibotta and youโll save another 2-6%.

ย
6. Consider the Reserve โNโ Ride Pass if you know your kids canโt handle waiting in line.
The Reserve โNโ Ride Pass is only available at Legoland California. Itโs a give and take because itโll cost you extra to hold a spot in line, but it may be worth the money if your kids just canโt do lines.
Legoland is happy to give you almost instant access with the Ultimate pass, but itโs more expensive than a day pass itself. I recommend not spending more than the Express pass unless you have an unlimited budget.
- Express: Reduce your wait time by 25% for $25 per person.
- Deluxe: Reduce your wait time by 50% for $55 per person.
- Ultimate: Reduce your wait time by 90% for $100 per person.

7. Donโt bother with mini-golf and carnival gamesโthey cost extra.
You can find all of the Legoland deals in the world but once your kids lay eyes on these carnival games, your budget can go out the window. Chances are good you can do a climbing wall and mini-golf somewhere else in your city for a bit cheaper. Focus on what Legoland has to offer thatโs included in the price of your entrance ticket thatโs not offered anywhere else.
ย
8. Legoland Florida is overall cheaper than Legoland California.
From park entrance fees to Legoland hotel stays, youโll spend roughly 15-25% less money visiting Legoland Florida, assuming you donโt have to pay extra to get there.
ย
9. Use the Legoland California app to keep track of ride wait times.
Plan your day based on which rides have the shortest lines, set reminders for upcoming showtimes, and more with the mobile app.
ย
10. Bring LEGO minifigures to trade with Legoland employees.
Similar to pin trading at Disney, you can ask to trade full minifigures with park staff.
Donโt spend too much on the minifigures you bring with you; shop at thrift stores. As long as the minifigure is whole, you can trade it. It doesnโt have to look good!
ย
ย
11. Get a free โ1st Visit to Legolandโ souvenir pin at Guest Relations or at the Legoland Hotel.
ย
12. Donโt buy food at the California location; walk to Costco for pizza instead.
Itโs only half a mile away. You donโt need a membership to eat at the food court, and you can feed your whole family for a fraction of the price of food in the park.
Or you could always do the picnic lunch in the parking lot vibe.
Check Costco for discount tickets
Iโve been able to find Legoland discount tickets at Costco, and Legoland also offers teacher discounts and discounts for homeschool families. These tickets must be set up in advance.
