Thanks for the class girls!! It was so fun. I hope now I can get better at this whole couponing business!!

I have never posted to your website but I after reading your comment about what coupons each store will take I thought I would pass on that the Idaho Center Walmart will no longer take internet printables. They have it posted at each cash register. The associate told me they have received too many fraudulent internet printable and they can’t tell the difference between the real and the fake ones so the opted not to accept them at all. Just an FYI for you so you don’t end up like me with a bunch of internet printables and not allowed to use them after they have already rang your bill up. By the way, I love your website it is very helpful and I hope to attend your next class, I wasn’t able to attend last night. Thanks!

  • Courtney

I would like to attend the next class. I’m not sure how to email Katie, as you said to do. Where can I find her email address?

  • The Givens Family

Hi Courtney, we’ll be figuring out a date for the next coupon class soon. As soon as we know, we’ll get a post on the blog with the information and the way to sign up.

Thank you so much for the store policy low down. I am really looking forward to learning the whole coupon clipping thing, but yet a little scared of the rejection too. This really helps me with the confidence factor. Expecially the fact I will be toting a few kids along the way.

Do you know if any stores will take the Babies R Us coupons that they send out or the Toys R Us coupons? And on another note, I have had FM take my catalina’s I get from Albertsons. Are they considered competitor coupons? Will FM take the RR from Walgreen’s? Thanks for your help. I am still trying to get the couponing system down.

  • Heather Wheeler

Jackie- I am not sure about the babies r us coupons but your best bet is Walmart. If you get the right checker I bet it would work. Catalina’s would be considered competitor coupons if they say the store name anywhere on them.
Fred Meyer’s policy is that they don’t take competitor coupons, so I am not sure if they will take Albertsons Catalina’s or not. Walmart should.

FYI – Albertson’s will not take competitor’s coupons anymore. I tried using the Target one there today.

OK FRIENDS, I NEED YOUR HELP!!!
So I really have not wanted to post my beyond awful Rite Aid trip I had the last week of June but I now feel I need to and am in search of some advise. I am going to make a long story as short as possible though ( I hope )

    It goes like this…
Customer (that's me) goes into local rite aid w/ coupons in hand DUH… Pick's out a few item's and heads to check out. Cashier although very, very nice said she had to double check that she was able to take more than 1 (not a problem as I knew it was allowed)
In enters the not so friendly manager who seemed very, very irriated and wanted to argue about my coupons. I was very nice and explained I had read R.A's coupon policy and felt as though I could use these after a min or two she said fine. The very nice cashier finished ringing up my order and suggested I should call corp. and get the coupon pol. in writing. Good idea I thought. She then asked the not so friendly manager to get me the #. Right then I knew I was going to have a problem. The manager tossed the papers she was holding down and walked into a back room. Now this is where I probly should have chose to walk away but I did not, instead I took out my cell and began recording the counter top as soon as she walked back out. I asked her to please write her name and explained to her that she made me feel very unwanted in her store. She completly ignores everyword. Next is where I REALLY should have decided to walk out but again did not LOL… After she handed me the # I lifted up my cell to show her I was recording and said exactly this "I am so glad I am recording this right now so I can show corporte how rude you treat your customer's using coupons." Then the manager decides to reach across a counter and HIT ME! Yes, she hit me. Now this point I will admit I was now a bitch. When she hit me my phone fell, cracking the screen as well as leaving scratches on the back. I was also bleeding on my left hand ( i will admit it was a scratch from her finger nail I think, not a life threating injury!) I picked my phone up and then said "Now you really fucked yourself, I'm calling the cops. I can't believe you just hit me" She then denied hitting me and I said "ok, it's on video" Well, from there the cops come she gets charged w/ battery they take my video for evidence as well as R.A's video. Here's where my problem is, RITE AID is being complete jerks about all of this. #1 the cop calls me 3 days later to let me know they turned the case over to the d.a. and wanted to let me know that rite aid chose to suspen this manager for 3 days. (he did say he wasn't sure he could really be saying this but felt I should know) I can not believe a manager can do this and not be fired on the spot!
#2 All I want is for R.A. to fix the crack in the screen on my phone and they will not return my calls! I have left 3 or 4 msg's with no luck!

    WHAT DO I DO?????

    ATT: BOZZER,
If this is a true story and not some hoax my advise is to kindly SUE their ___ off.

  • bozzers42

I wish it was a hoax LOL… I swear it is true!!! Rite aid has since given me a check for $500 (recives it yesterday) to replace my broken phone ($299) and the rest for my trouble I guess. Of corse I had to agree that I would not sue, that was never my intention. All I ever wanted was for my phone to be replaced.

Just wondering if you had Vons/Safeway's coupon policy?

I will be calling corporate later today.

Went shopping last night for the Wishbone/Nature Valley deals last night and finally after we get everything run up the cashier tells me that they can only take 2 like item coupons. I questioned that so she called a "manager" over. He confirmed. I let him know (nicely :) ) that nearly everything in my basket would have to be taken out and off my order since I had more then 2 like coupons for everything and the deals wouldn't work if I could only use 2 coupons.

After some whispering with the cashier they decided to take them.

I explained that I had 6 children and honestly I cannot leave the store with one or two items each time and if this was the policy I couldn't shop there anymore.

I was apologetic for not knowing, but I was there just a few weeks back doing the Chiquita pineapple deal and the assistant manager was the one ringing me up and I had 12 of the same coupon for these little fruits and he had no problems at all.

Thanks again for listing all the store policies!

Wanted to update that Target now accepts price matching with an add. The only catch is you have to take it to the guest service desk and get a refund.
