Moppet Togs Consignment Sale 2009 "The Loot"

Posted in: Uncategorized  //  Comments (8)
In case there are any of you that still haven’t listened to me rave about Moppet Togs, here I go: This weekend you have the opportunity to SCORE amazing deals for your children’s needs: Clothes, Shoes, Gear, Furniture, Toys, Decor- you name it! Moppet Togs is the Treasure Valley’s Premier Children’s Consigment Sale. It only happens twice a year so make it a priority this weekend! Head down to
8001 West Fairview Avenue, Boise
Shopko Plaza at Fairview and Milkwaukee

Thurs, March 19th 10:00 am – 6:00 pm

Fri, March 20th 10:00 am – 6:00 pm

Sat, March 21st (Most things HALF OFF) 9:00 am – 1:00 pm

Here’s my loot from my first trip to the Pre-Sale
click the image to make it larger
These are almost all name brand items: 14 Gap items (4 like new pairs of Gap Jeans- 2 in each of my daughter’s next sizes up!), 9 Old Navy items, 3 Gymboree, TCP, Ralph Lauren, Nike, Teva and Keen shoes. I paid between $2.50 and $8 (for the hard to find Gap “treehouse-line” jeans) per item. Most clothing/shoe items were $3.50-$4.50. The toys, videos and leap pad games were all $3 and under!

Moppet Togs sells HIGH QUALITY items- no stains or holes. Much higher quality then the local consignment shops. I couldn’t even count the number of great Pack N Plays, Strollers, Cribs and other baby gear items that were there when I left! I suggest going to the sale twice, once on Thursday to get the first pick at all the things on your list and then again on Saturday when most items go half-off!

So HAPPY SHOPPING!
Leave a comment to let us know how your trip went- if you want, send a picture of your loot to krazycouponlady@gmail.com and I’ll add it to the post!

Printable- Coupon Binder Organizer!

Posted in: Couponing Basics  //  Comments (24)
Here you go all you newbie KCLs, here’s a printable file that will immediately get you organized.
Click here to view the pdf file.
Then print it out (32 pages- don’t say I didn’t warn you) and make your binder!

I’m sharing my personal table of contents with 31 categories and then 31 Section Header pages. (Kind of a lot to print, but I made them black and white since you’re already using up all your color ink printing internet coupons.) I don’t use actual tabs, I just print out the 31 category header pages and put them in clear sheet protectors. I have most of my category page numbers memorized by now, and while you’re still learning the Table of Contents is a quick flip away.

31 categories? That’s a lot, I know, but the more organized I am, the easier it is at the store. For example, for me it’s important to separate lotion, from body wash and from hair care because they’re all on different isles. I like to be able to go grocery shopping sometimes without planned coupon usage, I just flip my pages in my binder as I walk down different isles. It’s super handy!

More info that may help: I use a 3″ binder, 60 baseball card holders ($5 for pack of 30 at Target), and about 50 sheet protectors- for all my categories plus one empty sheet protector as my very first page. I use this empty protector as I shop, by pulling the coupons I need and placing them here until I’m standing at the check-out. (I also have some coupons in full page sheet protectors if I’m too lazy to cut them and a whole sheet happens to belong in the same category.)

I hope this helps show some of you one way to organize your coupons and save lots of money!
Leave a comment if you’re going to implement this system or if you have another method of organization you’d like to share!

Last call: Goldfish for a Quarter!

Posted in: Uncategorized  //  Comments (10)
I know many of you have already partaken of this deal, but in case there’s anyone left who hasn’t heard- Goldfish are only a quarter until tomorrow. Use the Target $1 coupon (expires 3/14) from A Full Cup. You’ll have to sign up to use the coupon printer from their site.
The goldfish are 4/$5 or $1.25 at Albies this week- so .25 cents after coupon. The best part is that Pepperidge Farms has come out with Honey, Chocolate and Cinnamon Goldfish, they are exactly like Teddy Grahams. Yum!

Crest Whitestrips at Albies

Posted in: Albertsons  //  Comments Off

At the Albertsons on Eagle/McMillan, in the back on their clearance rack (inbetween the cheese and milk area), they have crest white strips clearanced out from $40 to $20. Then there is a coupon taped on them for another $10 off. That makes them $10 down from $40. It’s a good deal, but I didn’t check the expiration date on them, so make sure you check that out if you are interested!
