Part 1: Coupons accepted at Safeway
Manufacturer-issued coupons: These coupons are found in the freestanding inserts in your Sunday paper: Smart Source, Red Plum and Procter & Gamble. They can also be found in magazines.
Printable Coupons: Safeway accepts valid printable coupons that scan at the register.
eCoupons: Load these coupons directly onto your club card. When you swipe the card or present your phone number to the cashier, you will automatically receive the savings, and you can see them on your receipt. eCoupons are only good on one product and cannot be combined with other manufacturer coupons. Load eCoupons to your card at Safeway.com.
Catalina Coupons: Gray Catalina machines located at registers dispense long, receipt-like coupons. Catalina coupons may be store or manufacturer coupons. They can be for a dollar-amount off your next transaction or a specific product coupon.
Store Coupons: Safeway calls them ‘Super Coupons’. Find them in the weekly store ad or load them onto your Safeway Club Card. Safeway allows stacking one store and one manufacturer coupon per item. Super Coupons require a minimum purchase of $10.00. The minimum purchase is your sub-total before using any coupons (if your subtotal is $10.49 and then you redeem $10.00 worth of coupons, you may still use Super Coupons). Store coupons often have limits and these are per household, per day.

Safeway Club Card: To take advantage of sale prices, eCoupons, fuel discounts, and locations that participate in Just4U, you will need a Club Card. Download a copy of the club card application here, fill it out and return it to your store.
Double Coupons: Some Safeway stores double coupons, usually $0.50 and under. This is subject to regional competition. Watch your weekly ads or inquire at your store as to whether your store doubles.
