Krazy Halloween Decor

Spooky Tree

Spooky Tree:
I saw this idea last year and decided to try it…it was a big hit! All you do is case your neighborhood for a big unwanted branch.  Spray Paint it Black and anchor it into a Pot. I then attached “Sucker Ghosts” for our guests, which was why it was a big hit.   You could also use Black Crows from the Dollar Store.

Thanks to Susie at Bienvenue for this idea!

Another Fun Idea is this White Pumpkin:
If you already have a Orange Pumpkin, white pumpkinyou could spray paint it white and then follow Layla’s instructions for the brown stenciled part!

Check out The Lettered Cottage for details!

I LOVE decorating for Halloween, but it always seems silly to break the bank for it! After all, it’s only up for a few weeks!
What do you do to decorate for Halloween on a budget?

I use up my dying garden, and gather together all of my dry cornstalks with twine. I tie them together in a bundle and put them by my front door with a big pumpkin beside them.

Last year at Target I was lucky enough to be there the morning Halloween went to 90% off. I got tons of awesome decorations. I believe I payed $37 for it, but it was $370 worth of stuff. My house looks awesome this year.

I also did pumpkin painting last week. We got pie pumpkins (cheap at Wal-mart) and painted them solid colors and decorated them how we liked.

I love making my own halloween decorations. I look at a variety of craft blogs to get some ideas. Just recently my husband found some 2×4′s. I had him cut it into blocks. I then painted them orange, glued a stick as the stump. Tied some ribbon and raffia around the stump and created three pumpkins! It cost $1.27 to make (I had to buy the paint but everything else I found around the house)! I have found plenty of other cute ways to decorate and have them on my craft blog sandjcrafts.blogspot.com
