Updated Target Price Matching Policy

Well, it’s another week, which means another version of Target’s Price Matching Policy has been released. As you’ll remember, Target released a new version last week, which clarified that they will accept 1 Target store coupon and 1 manufacturer coupon on an item when price matching. They have updated it now to say that they will Price Match in this order:

Target Store Coupon
Price Match
Manufacturer Coupon

Combining both a Target and Manufacturer Coupons:
The Target coupon will be applied before the price match is made. If the competitor price is still lower than the price after the Target coupon has been deducted, the ad match can be adjusted to match the competitor’s price. Once the price match is made the manufacturer coupon will be applied.

Basically, if the Target store coupon makes the price of the item lower than the competitor price, then they will not mark the item down additionally. I just have to add, that I am sad to see Target take their Price Matching Policy in this direction. I am thankful they have such a clear policy- but the incentive to price match at Target was so that I could also use their store coupons. Bummer!
