I bought 2 of the spud buds yesturday, but they wouldn’t let me use 2 $5 coupons. The 2nd one would not scan so she said you couldnt use a coupon on a free item.
I was however able to use the 10% off fred meyer coupon (from the Home dept ad). It took off an additional $1.10. So I got 2 of the 3pack spud buds for $4.89.
I forgot to say that the Spud Bud’s rang up automaticaly part of the B1G1 sale, and my store had the B1G1 sale tags infront of all the Mr PH products.
Yeah, it was weird: I wanted to buy two Potato Heads at $6.99 and two Spud Buds at $10.99. The Potato Heads rang up B1G1, but the $10.99 didn’t. The cashier called someone and they said that if I bought the two at $10.99 I could get the two $6.99 free (Huh??). So I ended up only buying the $6.99 ones, and they *did* let me use the two coupons. This was at the Chinden/Glenwood store in Boise.
Unfortunately, I think the deal you get probably depends on the store and the management.
Hey, I just thought that I would let you know that the reason that the two 6.99 ones would be free is because you always get the cheaper items for free so if you would have done two seperate transactions you would have gotten one of the 6.99 one’s free and then one of the 10.99 ones for free if it was two diff transactions. I know this because I work at Fred-meyer’s. Hopefully that cleared it up for you.
The Spud Buds were only $5.99 at my Target, and with the $5/1 coup just 99c each. Unfortunately no Fred Meyer in my part of Texas or I’d jump on the Mr and Mrs deal too!
The are all cleared out at the Nampa Fred Myer and told me that I couldn’t have a rain check on toy items. I guess they got a memo about it today.
I just went and they only had one of each left. got my rain check! A great/ super cheap Christmas gift for my son and my niece!

If you go by Wednesday 11/11, you can use the extra 10% off from the Sunday ad. Ours were 6.99 each, got 10% off, so .70 off, one free and then used two 2.00 off coupons. Total- 2.28 for both, only 1.14 each.
Niffer: what Fred Myer did you go to? I am starting to think that they are giving me a line. Also they told me that they didn’t have any more and wouldn’t know if they were going to get some before the end of the sale. I have talked with people though that went later than I did and were able to get some. So frustrated with the Nampa Fred Myer. I might just have to call corporate.
I went to the Boise FM on Franklin last night. They had one left, and said they didn;t know if they we=ould get any before the sale ends. The night mamager told me to go to other FM and see if they had them, and if they didn’t, to come back with the Ad and get a rain check.
Nampa FM wouldn’t let me use 2 coupons. I only got the B1G1 and 1 $2off coupon. What went wrong?
My fred’s in Oregon had the silly suitcases as part of this b1g1. So I got 2 of those for 16.99 and then 2 of the parts 4.99 I used the 10% then 2 of the 5 off and 2 of the 2 off. I also got my five cents for my own bag and paid 5.73 for 2 sets of toys. What a great deal this was.
I went back to Nampa FM because few things went wrong.
1. The cashier only rang up 1 Mr. PH
2. Cashier missed ringing up 2nd 1 free
3. 1 coupon was therefore allowed because only 1 item was rung in the register.
4. Went to CS to then use my 2 coupons
5. Was told my manager only 1 coupon could be used because Nampa FM is a limited coupon store.
Therefore I was only able to get the B1G1 and use $2 coupon. Good deal… not KRAZY great!
Anyone else have this problem with limited coupon stores? Was that just the manager dismissing me or is that actual store policy?

This type of issue is left up to the store/manager. Especially at stores like Fred Meyer, who does not have a published coupon policy. While they should be accepting both coupons, since you are purchasing 2 items, and two items are being scanned in, they don’t have to let you, since you are technically getting one for free without the coupon. Sorry I can’t be more helpful! This is a great example of why you should PROFILE your checker. Look for those young males!
