This is my family’s first veterans day as a military family. We’ve never been more grateful for our country and our freedoms. Can’t wait for my hubs to have the day off tomorrow so he can take advantage of some of these great freebies! Thank you to all the veterans and military families who sacrifice for us all!

Free Doughnuts at Krispy Kreme: all veterans and active military personnel. Veterans and active military personnel who visit any participating U.S. Krispy Kreme store on Veterans Day will receive one free doughnut of any variety.
Free Bloomin Onion & drinks at Outback Steakhouse: all veterans and active duty military will receive a free Bloomin’ Onion and beverage on Veteran’s Day 2009. Just show proof of military service.

Free Canes from Sam’s Club for veterans in need of mobility assistance.
Free Dinner, Monday, Nov 16th at Golden Corral: If you are a veteran, retired, currently serving, in the National Guard or Reserves, you are invited to join us for Golden Corral’s Military Appreciation Monday dinner.
10% off at Home Depot (through 11/11) & Lowes (11/8-11/15) for active duty, National Guard and reserve members, retirees, veterans and their immediate family members.

Lowe’s and Home Depot do 10% all the time for military. At least that is the case where we are. Check to be sure, here it is an unadvertised thing, but we use it routinely.

My hubbs is also in the military . what base are you stationed at? i would love to meet you. I am at mnt home afb. do you shop at the commissary? Or is shopping off base cheaper?
Unfortunately, the military is what took me away from wonderful Boise (6 months ago)! And I’m jealous that you have a commissary! I didn’t realize there was one in Mountain Home. Maybe I should start doing commissary matchups! Happy Vets day to you. Hope you can spend it with your husband!
