You can pick your poison when it comes to these matchups. These are from the Walmart ad, so you can take your Walmart ad to Target and use the Target coupons there and price match from the ad, OR you can go to Walmart and use the competitor coupons there. Either way, according to many of you, you will be “pressing your luck”. I think I am going to use the Target coupons at Walmart, except in the case where there is a Target Store coupon and Manufacturer coupon for 1 item. In this case, it will be easier to go to Target and price match. I am most excited about the Leapfrog My Puppy Pal and Star Wars Leapster Game.

jacksonville, fl did NOT get target toy coupon book. it was advertised as being at the store in the tgarget flyer.
I tried the price matching with coupons at the Target on Eagle Road in Boise and they told they will NOT accept coupons when they price match an item even if it is one of their own. I was told by both the manager on duty and the woman working the desk. Is there an easier way to approach this?
Just FYI! The LeapFrog Alphabet Pal Catipillar is at Walmart for 14.97. If you use the $10 off coupon from Target, you get a $5 dollar toy!!! Good Deal!!
Just an FYI, my experience in using comptetitor coupons at Walmart is that they will not give you the Walmart price AND let you use Target’s coupon. They will price match it to Target’s price FIRST, then allow you to use the coupon. In that sense they ARE simply PRICE MATCHING. They will not give it to you for a lower price than Target (as in getting the lower Walmart price PLUS using a competitor coupon). This has been my experience quite a few times with everything from toys to deodorant, so YMMV, but I would anticipate that being the case, which, if it were me, I’d just go to Target. Much easier. Unless, of course, they are out of the item you want, then you could get it at Walmart, but I wouldn’t anticipate getting it for the Walmart price, less the Target coupon amount as the prices above incicate.
Ditto to Ali Smith’s comment. Sometimes even getting them to price match is like pulling teeth.
Seems like they just don’t want a person to come up these days. lol These times are when it is good to know someone that works at those stores. Too bad I don’t. :0(
I tried to use a Target coupon at Walmart today and was told that they don’t accept competitors coupons. I’m not sure this is supposed to be the policy, but I ended up leaving without a toy.
