Yes…all the printable coupons say DND…:( Bummer. Oh well, still a good deal.

  2. Ali Smith says:

Ranae: When the coupon says “One coupon per purchase” that is saying that you can use one coupon per ITEM purchased. So if you buy five items, you can use five coupons (unless the coupon states it’s valid on more than one item, ie. $1/2) HTH!

Now, I have a question…a friend said that she purchased three of the fruit snacks and she only had a coupon print for $1/2 for the fruit snacks, etc. Is this something she has to contact the catalina company about?

  3. Ranae says:

How can you use more than 1 $1 off for the nut clusters, when it sais right on the coupons only ONE coupon may be used?

I live in El Paso Texas and our Albertson’s isn’t doing the double coupons. It seems they only do this in cycles. The cashier said it has to state on the flyer that they are doubling coupons this week and our flyer doesn’t say that. Are the specials at the Albertson’s different per region to include the double coupons? I did get some good deals on the Yoplus with the dollar off and they are on special for 1.88 so each one was .88 cents but I’d like to be able to double my regular coupons. Does anyone have any idea if there is some kind of policy somewhere or if it varies per region?

Although they all started out as the same company, there are now different Albertson’s. The deals usually posted on this site are for the Albertson’s stores that are part of SUPERVALU. That includes the Intermountain West and Southern California divisions. Other “Albertson’s” were purchased and are now operated by a different company. You can visit the Albertson’s website to learn more about your store.

The cashiers get written up for doubling coupons that state do not double/triple! Saving $3 is no worth someone loosing their job!! Just and FYI. Also the Albertsons coupons (not doublers) say you CANNOT use with a doubler so don’t even try it because the cashiers get written up for that also. We all save enough money to not get someone fired over a few dollars!! :) Happy saving!!

  6. Chelsey says:

Just a heads up. I went to two different albertsons stores here in the Boise area and they refused to double the manufacturer’s coupons that said do not double. I called Alb’s customer service when I got home to ask what the policy was on this (because I had never had trouble with this before) and they told me store policy is to follow exactly what the coupon says. So technically no Albertsons stores are allowed to double a coupon marked do no double. That being said if a cashier forgets and doubles a do not double coupon it’s okay. So in the end I guess it’s the cashier that decides what coupons you can double and what coupons you can’t.

    Hot Yogurt deals + CATALINA

I just went and bought 20 yoplait yogurt because it was buy 20 and get them for .40. Using my zip code on coupons.com it pulls up a coupon .75 off 4 yogurts any brand. and there is a coupon for $1 off 8 yoplaits. Here is what you could do.

    buy 20 yoplait yogurts
    use 3coupons .75 off 4 (2 computers :))
    use 1 coupon for $1 off 8
    use 3 doublers
    OOp 2.25
then a catalina printed for $2 oyno.

    THATS 20 Yoplait yogurts
for .25 cents Hope someone else can enjoy this deal.

Just had the worst experience at the overland and 5 mile Albies. I took my sister-in-law for the first time to coupon. We did the GM deal but every time they rang up her Cherrios coupons the computer said that it was for hamburger helper. They gave her a really hard time about that but they were totally legit coupons ( I printed them myself). But when they typed in the numbers the coupon said that it was for Cherrios so they let her use them. We were at the self checkout (the lines were so long at the regular, I guess the threes a crowd policy doesn’t apply to this particular store), but anyways then her cats wouldn’t print. So they gave her a hard time about being in the self checkout with coupons. Meanwhile I did my transaction and then my cats didn’t print out and they also gave me a hard time about being in the self check out. So after they force printed both our catalinas we went to the regular checkout, par their request, to do the rest of our transactions. The same thing happened with her coupons not coming up as the right thing at this register again the cashier this time was rude to her. They let her do it though and then she went outside because she was embarrassed. Also when I did my transaction the 5.00 oyno cat didn’t print and they had to force print that also. (Not with out attitude from the cashier mind you). While I was waiting for the cat to print out I could hear the cashiers and managers talking about how they thought that my sister-in-laws coupons were fake and that she looked like the type to forge them. At this point I was so mad that I got my catalina and left. I had more shopping to do but will do it at a different Albertson’s because we should not have been treated like criminals just for using coupons. I would never alter a coupon just to save money and neither would my sister-in-law. It isn’t worth my integrity to save what a buck or two. And the idea that they had thought that she looked like the type to do that was so insulting. I didn’t realize that the people at the overland and five mile store had been trained in profiling coupon criminals. How CSI of them. But I digress, my real reason for writing this is to let everyone know what poor service I received there and that I personally will never shop there again. My sister in law is so turned off of couponing that she may not do it again. She says that it’s not worth the savings. So consumers beware and I wouldn’t use a coupon at self check out there if you want to be treated with respect. Sorry that was a bit of a rant. I love this site. Thanks for all the hard work that goes into this site.

Yikes! I shop this Alb’s occasionally because that same intersection has a Freddy’s and a Wags so I can get all my deals in one shopping trip. I’ve never had the people there be quite this rude, but they definitely want you to use your coupons in the regular line, not the self-check. And they always seem to be out of stock of the stuff I want. I’ve also been accused of fraudulent coupons (not at this store) before and it was a terrible experience to be accused like that. We believe you!

    • Tracey Dayley says:

findagirl, I, too, have had a problem at that store. I live a mile from the Overland and 5 Mile store. I am new to this coupon thing. The first time I went to Albertsons I went through the self check, had my three transactions ready… I did have my two teens with me to help… and things went smoothly until I went to give my coupons to the cashier and she smugged her way through them with an attitude of how I was just taking too much of her time. I went back to finish up the P&Gs catalinas I had. I had my daughter with me and had her go through with her GM transaction. She had only one transaction to do. She had coupons and the doublers. She came and found me and told me she was treated rudely and was told she needed to go through the regular checkstand next time. When I got home I noticed the cashier didnt even use the doublers for my daughter at all! I refuse to use that Albertsons again.

      • Ranae says:

I honestly think that you should call the corporate Albertsons with store number, and names of people who mistreted you. I work in retail, and beleive me, the people higher up WANT you to use coupons and take up their employees time if it mans you will be spending money in THEIR store!

  10. Lo says:

So sad we don’t have Albies anymore in Layton, Ut. Where is the furthest northern Utah Albertsons… anyone know… the sale might be worth the drive.

  11. Sarah says:

If I didn’t get my $5 cat and I take my receipt and ad to the store, can they print me one? How would that work? My cashier doubled my three coupons even though they said “do not double on them.” :)

    • Heather says:

Yes, if you take your receipt to the customer service desk, they will add it up (to verify you spent $20) make sure you bought participating items and then give you the catalina. They usually have a back up code, that will force the catalina to print, and if they don’t they will probably just give you cash!

      Hope this helps!

  12. Stephanie says:

I tried this at the Orem Center St. Albies in Utah today and didn’t have any problems. All three cats printed out and they were willing to double the $1 coupons. Thanks for the info!

  13. Sarah Chapman says:

I just did this deal. Two $3.50 cats printed out, but no $5 cat. The cashier said the clusters weren’t part of the deal. Who knows…

    • Heather says:

The Clusters are ABSOLUTELY part of this promo. They are pictured and named in the ad! If I were you, I would take the ad and your receipt back- and get your catalina!!

  14. HELP! Is the catalina for the granola bars or the clusters or both? tia Tabitha

  15. Aliza says:

How can you use all of those BC fruit snacks when you only buy 5, but the number asked for on the coupons totals 8? Are you saying that if it says $1/2 you could use it for just one item?

    • JJ says:

No, those were some suggestions on where to find them. If you go to coupons.com you can find a “single” (40cents). That way you can use the 1$/2 twice, and the 40 cent one. Have them double the dollar ones (either here or with the granola).

  16. Colleen says:

Cashier at Overland & Five Mile would not double these. Still a good deal though.

  17. Maggie says:

How do you double these when they all say do not double or triple?

    • Ranae says:

The do not double or triple simply means that they cannot scan your printed or mnfctr coupon more than once. If they push back, politely ask them to check with their Mgr. becasue youhave heard differntly!

  18. mamanard says:

    Oooh so hoping I get these doublers….I’ve got a 10onyo q burning a hole in my pocket…

  19. Tricia says:

I didn’t get an insert for Albertson’s in the Statesman. I looked online and didn’t see that there was doublers. Has anyone else had this problem?

  20. Elizabeth says:

The IP coupons for these items all say do not double, so you might have trouble getting your $3 for the Albertson’s doublers.
