$1.00/1 – Pepperidge Farm Tim Tam Cookies – (ilovetimtamcookies.com)

During a friend’s superbowl party last Sunday, someone brought up Tim Tam cookies and they became a hot conversation topic.  Something about cutting of two corners of the cookie, inserting a straw and sipping up hot chocolate into the cookie, then plopping it in your mouth for some kind of chocolate explosion. . .  anyone tried it?

[My social party MO:  I mostly sit back and listen- then chime in every few minutes with, "there's a coupon for that!"]

Select Pepperidge Farm cookies are on sale beginning tomorrow at Safeway and affiliate stores.  I’m hoping Tim Tams are included!

These are the American version of a very popular Australian biscuit…not as good as the original, but still pretty tasty.

and yes…it’s called a Tim Tam Slam!

Tim Tam Slam! After you nibble off opposite corners of the cookie (biscuit Ü) us the cookie as the straw and suck the warm drink through it. Then hurry and eat it before it disintegrates! So excited that Target has these now.

We did this on a visit to Australia way back in 2001… Tim Tam Slam! How exciting that we finally have them here! No need for a straw- the cookie is the straw. Just suck up and pop in…mmmmmm. We did it with tea at tea time. Have fun!!

Yes, we love Timm Tams! We lived in New Zealand where the “Tim Tam Slam” is all the rage. No straw needed though, just nibble off each of the ends and suck up the hot chocolate (quickly). YUMMY! Miss them. Now I’ll have to find a store that sells them. No Safeway in my state.

As an Australian American I am thrilled that Pepperidge Farm has Tim Tams. The outlet actually sella three pack in favors I have not heard of, strawberry, dark chocolate and regular milk chocolate. Tim Tams are traditionally eaten with tea, coffee or hot chocolate, take a tiny bite off each end and suck – absolutely delicious. ENJOY!
