Please be aware, that if the value of the coupon exceeds the value of the item you are buying, Walmart’s register will beep. This makes some highly trained employees think they have to refuse the coupon… If this happens just nicely explain that you are not expecting overage, but that he/she can adjust the value of the coupon to match the product.

I think I would have to disagree with your comment about asking them to adjust the coupon price down. That would be coupon fraud on their part, because they will receive back the full price of the coupon plus 8 cents.

They are supposed adjust the coupon & mark it on the coupon, so that they only receive the amount they discounted.

Okay, I’m scared now. Seriously? Did you ask her how many ounces WERE in a pound? I think I would have stared blankly and then thought she was joking.
Ever since I found this site, I have been spending less and less time at Walmart. I think I like it that way!

brenda- when a store takes a coupon for less then the full value they write the amount redeemed on the coupon and that’s the amount they get back. That is the way they do it without causing fraud. Or at least that is what THEY should do…As the shopper I am not in charge of that part…i just expect stores to follow there own poilcies.
