I’m relatively inexperienced with Target’s BOGO policy, especially when it involves a gift card. From what I can tell by the deal you created, if you get one item free with a BOGO deal, the free item doesn’t really count as “buying” one? Because if it did, wouldn’t you only have to “buy” one, you’d get one free, and then get the 5.00 GC?
I am going to try this tonight. However I did a similar transaction 2 weeks ago with the Venus Razors and Olay Body washes, and I did get a GC for the Razors and a GC for the body washes. The Olay coupon was a BOGO for buying the venus razor. I would think that you would get 2 GC for this Tide deal.
Just wanted to comment that the Olay Total Effects 8.2 oz body washes do not ring up for a $5 gift card here in Metro Detroit Michigan. Perhaps it’s a regional deal? I tried at two different Targets in the area, and this deal wasn’t at either one.
I believe it is regional. It helps to use a price checker on an end cap to see if it’s participating. But even if it doesn’t show up as participating, it might still trigger the gift card at checkout. For me, I would try it and after the cashier scans three body washes, the cash register should prompt for a $5 gift card (BEFORE YOU PAY!). If the gift card doesn’t prompt, I would kindly say, “I was hoping these items were part of an extended gift card promotion. Since they’re not, do you mind if I don’t purchase them today?”

Thought I’d comment that our Keebler Fudgeshop Grasshoppers are on pricecut to $1.52, so I bought five without coupons and received the $5 GC. .52/each, not too bad.
The promo for Listerine and Oil of Olay is still working in the NJ area.
Forgot to mention that these promos were not marked, but I checked the scanner first and I received the gift cards at the register.

If you have a Dollar General in your area, they have the 75oz of Tide on sale for $9 in their ad. It says assorted scents, but only pictures 2. My Target had no problem doing a PM for me this morning!
I’m curious about the Tide deal. Since Target will accept 1 mfg and 1 Target coupon per item can you also use the $1/1 Target coupon, in addition to the $.35/1 and B1G1 free coupons? So it would be 2 coupons (1 Target and 1 mfg) for the Tide detergent and the B1G1 would be applied to the Stain release, right??? Help me out here.
