I have a question. Where do I find the information about the catalina information to show the manager how I knew the cat would print? I didn’t get any of the cats today (Kellogs or Kellogs fruit snacks). And I called the manager, he said I had to buy certain items, per what it says on the tag. Is there something I can take in to show him what I’m talking about if the tags indicating cat weren’t there??

I also didn’t receive a cat I bought almost exactly what the KCL showed in her pic? I don’t know why the green light was on on the machine and my store didn’t have anything posted about getting a cat for kellogg’s. I live in california also but no such luck

I just went back to my SW and talked to the manager. He said “All that changed yesterday” referring to the cats. Not sure how they can do that, but maybe its up to each SW on when they take the cat signs down and reprogram the machines? Still great prices, a little disappointing though:(

Thank you very much! Its not your fault:D The manager told me that the cats changed yesterday. That clearly is not the case. Do you happen to have the info for the fruit snacks cat? I am going to look through posts to find that one so I can request that one too! Thanks for responding!!

Non-cereal related question. If the final price of the Hunt’s diced tomatoes (14.5 oz can) are $0.42, is that a good stock up price? I typically grow my own tomatoes and freeze them so I do not buy canned ones often except towards the end of the winter season or beginning of the spring season when I run out of the ones that I grew myself. I don’t want to buy them if they go much cheaper than that. Especially since I am currently in no hurry to purchase them at this point. Thanks.

I think that’s a fair price for the whole and diced peeled type tomatoes. I’ve gotten them around $.30, but if you need them I certainly wouldn’t hesitate to buy them at that price! The tomato sauce you can get for dirt cheap. I’ve gotten it as low as $.06. Hope this helps.

Can someone confirm for me that Corn Flakes are included in the CAT deal? I have read on other blogs that they are, but they did not produce the CAT for me today.

Corn Flakes are NOT included in the Catalina deal.
Frosted Flakes, Apple Jacks, Froot Loops, Corn Pops, Cocoa Krispies or Honey Smacks, 10 oz or larger on all of these.

Went to Safeway, bought 5 cereal and 5 fruit snacks, paid little less than $7.00 and got $7.50 in catalina. Definitely worth the trip. Thanks KCL!

DID YOU HAVE TO BUY THE BIG BOXES OF FRUIT SNACKS MY STORE HERE ONLY HAD THE CAT TAG ON THE LARGE BOXES FOR 4.49 EACH!! NOT INCLUDED IN THE 5/5 DEAL. I WANT TO CONTACT THE CAT OFFICE BECAUSE MY CAT DIDN’T PRINT FOR KELLOGG’S OR FRUIT SNACKS, BUT I WANT TO MAKE SURE I’M RIGHT BEFORE I CALL. THANKS

Yes! The Catalina promo included the smaller boxes. I’m not even sure what larger boxes you’re referring to. I purchased Fruit Gushers, 5.4 oz. All the other similarly sized Betty Crocker Fruit Snacks, Roll-Ups, etc are particpating.

Some of the Kellogg’s boxes have a set of coupons “Save $5 on Breakfast”. One of the coupons is for $1 off milk w/purchase of kellogg cereal.

Some of the checkers at my Safeway are really awful about taking coupons, too. That’s when you whip out your copy of their coupon policy (found on this website) and say in your nicest voice, “I’ll be happy to wait right here, if you’d like to contact Corporate about this.” Usually works without any further problem.

I am now sold on the idea of bringing policy with me and being nice but direct about policy. I was very excited because I found a Safeway last night that had blinkie coupon,when I got to checkstand the cashier said the manager just made new policy about one per transaction,because it says do not double. I tried to talk to him about this but gave up. He also said it was because someone bought a bunch and then tried to return them. I don’t know how much managers can do at each store….but next time I want to go prepared so I don’t have to miss out because of someone elses “no, no” if I don’t have to.

Just curious… by any chance did you use a self checkout? I started to today and I used 3 coupons that were the same and the computer actually stopped me from using anymore. So I took my groceries over to a cashier and did my transaction that way.

I use the self check out, but I always scan my coupons before my safeway card. I haven’t had a problem using coupons. It it usually less of a hassle than dealing with some of the cashiers.

The safeway store in modesto has the coupons and I got the cat. Once my hubby gets home I will be buying some more tonight. We go thru alot of cereal in this house.

i did the kelloggs cereal scenario 3 times, so i paid $4 out of pocket for 15 boxes and still have a $4 cat leftover, which i plan on rolling to buy 5 gallons of milk and get 5 free honey bunches of oats! my safeway also had old spice red zone bodywash on clearance for 1.99 so i bought 2 and used the old spice bodywash coupon (can’t remember what insert) for 3/2 so only .50 each! They also had quaker instant oatmeal on clearance for 1.60 so used my $1/1 coupons-only .60 each! A great day at safeway!

Worked like a charm! Thanks so much for the information! All the catalinas printed well and I was able to roll them. The computer did mess up and didn’t take off $5 on each transaction when it should have, but customer service gave it back to me in cash. Just make sure you get your full $5/5 off that you were supposed to! Thanks again!

Thank you! I was able to get 20 boxes of cereal! I paid $4 oop and recieve a $4 CAT back. I waited til 11 pm to do this deal. I wanted to make sure everyone else got a chance before I went in. I even taught my friends how to coupon tonight. They were so amazed and surprise. I had a lot of stare but after telling the other costumers and cashier about the deal. They were so excited and wanted to get free cereals too. Thank you! I told them that I learned about couponing from the KCL!

First time trying out Vons with coupons and was trying to buy 5 of the kelloggs and they wouldnt allow me use more than 3 coupons. And was that suppose to trigger the $5 off. They were the pop, apple jacks and fruit loops. I also bought 3 nv nut clusters and 2 nv granola bars, and 4 marie callender dressings, 3 salads and 3 of the cut veggie packs. So how many $5 off’s should have triggered because on the receipt only 2 $5 off came off. Im confused, thanks for your help in advance..Oh and she also said that she shouldnt have taken the coupons for nv nut clusters ($1q) and the nv granola bars ($.40q) because she said they are the same thing…how do you figure? Got all this for $14 not bad but think there was a boo boo somewhere.
