Update on Ice Crean Promo at Albertsons: Dreyer’s only $0.50 after Catalina!

According to Coupon Connections NW there is a Screamin’ Ice Cream Deal, that’s even better than it’s advertised…

When you buy only two of the Dreyer’s Ice Creams it’s printing the $4 Catalina!!! So, your scenario will look like this:

Buy 2 Dreyer’s Ice Cream $2.50
Buy 2, Receive $4 Catalina
Final price: $0.50 each! Woot!

I have not confirmed this yet, and would love to know if you of you try it out!

My Albertsons (Central Point, OR) is using the catalina from a previous shoppers purchase right away, that way my total oop is only $1!!! I’ve bought 8 gallons so far and even though they arent handing out the catalinas at the end of the purchase I am not complaining. 8 gallons and only $4 oop Freezer is stocked for summer!

I just tried this in Idaho and purchasing 2 Dreyers did NOT trigger a Catalina. Hope this helps!

I just came from Albertsons in Southern CA and I got the $4 catalina, but after I bought the $12 in participating ice cream products, including 2 Dreyers. Not sure if it would’ve done it with out the other ice cream.

My guess is that the CAT is working off REGular price(for those its working for). the avg reg proice is $6.29–$6.79 ea(crazy)…x 2 = over $12. it didnt work for the store i went to, but its a per store thing i would bet. consider it a bonus!

Worked in Vancouver, WA. Note that the Cat says “Thank you from Dreyers Grand” and that is what I bought, so it may be just that specific type.

I got cats at both the 4th Plain and 137th stores, and 4th Plain just restocked the whole case at 2pm today

I bought 2 regular Vanilla Dreyer’s Grand. Regular Retail is $6.49 each. Those did not trigger the cat.

It did work in Vancouver, WA! Fantastic deal! Bought 2 sets of Dreyers on 2 separate transactions and got $8 catalinas…went back out to the floor bought more stuff and used both my catalinas! Awesome!

Tumwater, WA store I purchased two Dreyers on sale 2/$5, regular price would have been $6+ each, no catalina was triggered. Bummer!

It worked on all flavors for us, even the yogurt, so long as it’s dryers.The catalina pops out for every two bought. So every two is a separate order.

I am in NW Washington I did try this, I did not get the $4.00, because the add says you have to spend $12. Even with our sales tax at 8.6% you would still have to buy 5. There are other items on the promo, but I have not looked into them.

It didn’t work for me here in southern California. I bought the Dreyer’s Grand, regular price was 4.99 each, on sale was 2.79 each. Would’ve loved the $4 cat, but I got a $3 free bakery bread instead. Don’t know if it was related, those were the only two items for that transaction. Still a good deal!

Do you think if you scan your rewards card after the total registers as over $12 (if the original price is at least $6) that it will work? It looks like it is hit or miss, but I think I will try that and see. Has anyone had success in Idaho Falls?

I always hand them my card to scan before anything else, and I got the cat, so its probably just a case of being very location specific.

It is specific to the 2/$5 tag on the Dreyers ice cream. Most flavors are, some are not.

I purchased Vanilla, Vanilla Bean, Strawberry, 2 Cookies and cream, Chocolate and 2 Cookie dough and it worked for each transaction. I got four $4 Catalinas each time. I was at the Albertsons on Highway 9 in Snohomish, WA.

My mom bought 10/$10.00 of the mini ice creams and and got the $4.00 catalina. She doesn’t know how to “stack” so I showed her. She’s going back for more! She loves the minis cause she’s a great grandma and they are the perfect size for her grandchildren, and great grandchildren (her kids don’t mind either:) Don’t know if anyone else has tried it on the mini size but it’s working in SoCal
