These are also on sale for $1 at Albertsons in Tucson, AZ this week. I got 4-4packs of alkaline double A batteries for free.

just used this at target and it worked for the red ones… and they are ringing up at .50, the coupon adjusts itself… no beeps whatsoever! :)

  4. Jenn says:

Bummer, it hasn’t reset for me… :( Can’t print and I definitely did last time.

And yeah, the coupon only works for the blue packages which only have 2AA or 2AAA, not the red 4 packs.

  5. Dora says:

I only found one 2-pack AA in my store, they were marked at $.50, so scored 2 free batteries.

I have looked at Target every time I go. I see Rayovac in the Dollar Spot, but they are NOT alkaline, they are something in a red package (Zinc something maybe?). I noticed this for a lot of the battery match-ups that result in free batteries. Do people use the coupons on the dollar ones even though they’re not Alkaline?

    • Rachel says:

Sherri, I was just about to ask the same question! The ones in the red package are not alkaline, so I’ve never tried using the coupon, but it’s always suggested on here to use that coupon for those batteries. So I’m assuming, maybe it works … ? Anyone else done it?

    • Ana says:

The Dollar Spot DOES carry the alkaline (the blue pkg that the coupon works on)… but it completely depends on your store, the day, the week, etc. I didn’t find these for a long time, then magically they showed up one day in the bin mixed in with the others. One week they were $2.50, the next week they were $1 like the other ones. I saw them at one store one day, and went to a different store later in the day and didn’t see batteries at all.

So…. long story short… it completely varies by store.
