The ad lists a limit of 12 juice or 8 free snacks. So you could do both in the same transaction.

Can’t you use the Fuel for school coupons? Here’s what I have:

4 Kelloggs rice krispies treats $2.49 each
2 loafs of safeway bread (don’t know if they are on sale…but full price at my store is $1.49 each
Total: $24.94
-$9.96 for the free Kelloggs rice krispies
-$6.00 (3 of the $2.00 Motts coupons)
-$4.00 (2 of the Fuel for school coupons should work because it’s not off of the rice krispies treats its off the bread.)
-$2.00 doubler!
Total OOP:$2.98!

They were at my store on a display about 2 weeks ago when they had the kellogg fruit snack sale! I did the same with the fruit snacks it made $.36 for 10 boxes!! They expire on 9/30.

yes, i did 6 motts apple juice, 4 free granola bars and get the free milk. yay!
in another transaction (i split it up so that i could make sure that i got all my discounts).. got 6 apple juice, 4 free rice crispy treats and 2 loaves of free bread!

I got up early this morning so I could get in a little shopping before work. This worked great. I bought 12 of the Mott’s for $1 each and got 4 boxes of granola bars and 4 boxes of Pop Tarts for free. Thanks again KCL!

I was looking and there is another coupon out there its a SW one and its for $1.00 off SW bread! (in the sandwich coupon book) And because its a SW coupon it can be used with the $2.00 off any loaf which makes this deal a little sweeter! So total OOP:$.98!!!!

Be careful on that coupon. It’s a store coupon, but it’s not for Safeway bread- if it’s the one I think you are talking about (exp. 8/31, in the buy 5 save $5 booklet) it’s for any butter top bread or split top bread. The only bread I could find that qualified for the coupon was $2.49. HTH

lol let me confuse you even more- it says ‘selected store brands’ at the bottom, so I guess there is Safeway butter top or split bread? My 2 stores must not carry it because I looked everywhere!! Sorry about the confusion!

I had problems with my transaction…I bought 6 juices and 4 granola bars in one transaction but only 2 of the bars came off. I had to have the cashier manually take the other 2 off. So watch the register closely if you are buying multiples.

Today, I tried this transaction. I bought 6 of the Mott’s apple juices and got 4 boxes of granola bars. None of the granola bars came off. When I went to customer service, the cashier said that the ad states that you can only do 3 juices and 2 bars per transaction. I’m in Moses Lake, WA.

I bought 6 motts juice and 4 rice crispies and the 4 (free) rice crispies didn’t come off. They reimbursed me at CS no problem.

UGH, I am so mad at my safeway right now! I got 6 apple juices, 2 V-8 fusions and 1 regular V-8
(also got the free granola bars)
Anyways when checking out I gave the cashier my three motts coupons and two of the v-8, she said I was only allowed to use one per purchase. She then showed me on the coupon where it says to be used for one purchase. I said, that means it can be used for one item at a time, that way I won’t use three of them on one item to make it free. I asked for the manager and she said “I am one” UGH, I gave up. I want to call another manager but I had to leave to get my father in law. I am so frustrated right now! But I did still manage to save 67% today!

The ad does not state that it says this:
* Purchase 3 participating juice items in a single transaction with card and receive 2 free participating snack items.
It says right on there Limit 12… same for the snacks Limit 8 free.
Why would it state a limit if you could only purchase 3 per transaction.
I’m going out tomorrow to try buying 12 we will see what happens. : )

I had troubles with this–got 6 juices, 2 granola bars, 2 pop tarts–and only two poptarts came off..and the manager insisted that the ad said “1 free snack” when it clearly said 2–unfortunately I noticed this on my receipt the day after the sale ended, had no ad to prove it with me, and they had no ad in store. Manager was a jerk.
