FYI It’s only for ranch or zesty italian kraft dressings. I did the scenario this morning and it worked for me. Also, my store had taped to some of them a buy 2 get $1 off which made it even better!

  • Dee Dee Dee

I posted on another thread – - there are NO doublers this weekend.

    • tina

how do you know that there will be no doublers?

    • Martha

I’ve read on several blogs that there will be doublers. Do you know something different?

      • Dee Dee Dee

Yes – I know that there are NO doublers this weekend. The information you are reading here is inaccurate – - unfortunately they have been misinformed. :(

    • http://thekrazycouponlady.com/members/heather/ Heather

My “insider” has never been wrong- but I guess there’s a first for everything… We’ll have to wait and see.

      • Dee Dee Dee

“Albertsons doublers are no more because Walmart now accepts them, they will now round up coupons to $1.00 ($0.25/0.50/0.75 now turns into $1.00 at the checkout, no doubler coupons to cut out or steal but nothing will “double” anymore, maxed out at $1.00 per coupon)Sunday is the debut of this new program.”

      • http://thekrazycouponlady.com/members/heather/ Heather

Really!?!?!?! Exciting news!! Thanks for sharing! :) Is there a max per transaction?

      • Dee Dee Dee

Now THAT I don’t know – LOL I don’t think so though…. especially because part of it was that Walmart would let you do 15 per transaction. Doing it this way I think would be a lot easier on consumer and cashier alike.

      • http://thekrazycouponlady.com/members/heather/ Heather

Bummer that we can’t double $1 coupons- but kinda nice if there isn’t a limit. Thanks for sharing the info! :)

      • Tyree

I said all along we’d lose a good thing everywhere if people misused doubles by taking them to Walmart. Albies get’s rid of them you won’t see Walmart give you their own—thats for sure. I LOVE Albertsons and wish people had been smart enough to be loyal to the people giving them the good thing to begin with. If we truly lose doubles I’ll be very sad and upset. I for one did not take my doubles to Walmart.

I shopped Albertsons today ( Friday 8-27 ) and the clerk at checkout placed a copy of the coming Sunday flyer in my bag. It has three doublers good Sunday thru Tuesday. Which Albertons? Sherwood, Oregon. Best regards, Jay.

  • Sarah

Use 2 $1 off 2 in the new Fall into Savings book (found at checkout this am) and one $0.35 coupon, and pay $4.35 and get a $5 cat!

  • Christina B

You could also use the $1 off 1 from the Safeway serve up a sandwich. If you have 5 of these manufacture coupons and you would only pay $1.70 and get a $5 cat. Making it a $3.30 Money Maker. Ohh and if you can use the coupon that Sarah stated above (if its a store coupon) then you can get the dressing for free and make $5!!!

  • Sarah

    They’re MFR coupons….

  • Heather

FYI: The Catalina variety also has the peelie on it.

  • Ana

Yeah… Catalina, Ranch, and Zesty Italian are the only ones for $1.34. I decided to pass, since those aren’t my favorite varieties and I still have a bunch of dressing from earlier freebies. Awesome deal for those who will use it, though!

    • Jenn

At the Greenhurst Nampa albertsons, they have the -$1.00/2 coupons… and save $1.00 on produce. SO….buy 6, use 3 -$1.00/2 coupons and get $3.00 in produce free, to just pay tax!!

  • meg

I talked to mrocery guy…..he always gives me the heads up there absolutely were NO double I think people just assume everyother week they will be there and it spreads like wild fire!

  • Jennifer

I think your math might be off on that last scenario. It seems to me like the total would be more in the seven dollar range and then get your five dollar catalina. Still a good deal, but definitely not a money maker.

    • Samie

I did my math and could not get a money maker either, even with doublers.

      • Betsy

This didn’t work as a money maker for me. Still a great deal though. Spent about $7.00 and got the $5 cat.

  • http://www.farnellfamily.com Matthew

What are doublers, and where do you get them?

  • pam

Newbie here! So…aren’t the catalina coupons the ones that print out at checkout? How would you use the coupon on that same purchase? Take it back for adjustment?

  • Annie

I just saw that “Kari” was handed doublers at her store – Dee Dee Dee what region / area / store do you know is moving to this new thing – I wonder if its regional?

  • C C

I know for a fact that there will be doublers in The Oregonian this Sunday. I wonder if this new policy IS regional.

    • LaToya

Could be – I know there have been times that we have gotten them in the Treasure Valley and people in WA or OR did not get them. The Walmart situation here could have this area in a different bucket or whatever you want to call it than the other areas. We’ll see how it goes….at least we’re still getting something.

  • vickie

My ad shows the kraft dressing for $2.99. am I missing something??? I hope so!lol

  • Annie

Vickie the ranch and italian were marked down further – all the others were 2.99

FYI – What is the peelie etiquette? I arrived at my albertsons – super excited to ‘cash in’ I have a g/f who is have a rough time and BOTH of her kids go through ranch like crazy so this was a good time! HOWEVER, no bottles with peelies to be found.. however I found 3 with remenants of peelies.. umm.. really? I thought you were to leave the peelie on the product and let the cashier take it off? No?
    (I bought them any way – 35 cents a bottle is a GOOD price :) )

  • vickie

    Thank You,Annie!

  • Suz

I did this deal yesterday …. and no catalina ( I bought 4 mayo and 2 dressings), now what do I do to get my cat?

    • Em Pee

I think this is definitely one of those wait-and-see how this all shakes out sort of things. Just need to take a deep breath before deciding not to shop Albies and/or cancelling the extra papers.

I was looking at my coupons last night and it’s about a 50/50 split on the ones that are $1 or 75-cents and the ones that are 50-cents and 40-cents. The 40-cent and 35-cent ones I am definitely doing better under this new program. It’s the $1 and 75-cent ones where I’m going to lose.

However, the promos for buy 10 and get $5 off or spend $25 and get $5 off, those ones you aren’t limited by doublers anymore and you can use a coupon rounded-up to a $1 on each item. In this instance I’m quite certain it’s a better deal.

We have 3 coupon packs coming out this weekend…and with extra papers/coupons; I’m excited to shop and run my numbers on Sunday!

  • Amy

I’ve seen many comments about some folks not preferring Italian. This dressing makes a great marinade for meat and/or veggies. I will be stocking up! :)

    • Dianne

I winter in Arizona, summer in Oregon. All Arizona Safeway’s do the “all coupons worth $1″ and have for the last year. It is really a great deal ladies, it is unlimited and all coupons will go up to $1 unless you have a cashier that will supress them. I have even had cashiers that did and went to customer service and gotten the “up to $1″ back. I have saved tons of money in Arizona by using this method of “doubling” It works really great when you have buy 5 get $5 and higher limit items when you have individual coupons for items. We all know that the coupons are getting lower in value if they are off of 1 but this makes it irrelivant. The only ones that hurt in this situation as an earlier poster mentioned is the $.75 and $1.00. Take them somewhere else where the prices are lower to get the full $1 effect off, like (ugh) Wal*Mart. HTH

  • Nicole

    Twin Falls has doublers!

  • Jessica

I just went to the Renton Washington one last night and they had $1 free produce with purchase of 2 Kraft Dressing coupons right in front. So I got 2 pounds of banannas and 5 ranches for $2.45. I used the doublers and the peelies on the bottles

  • Lorie

I was told today that Albertsons is no longer doing the double coupons. But they are doing the round up manufacture coupons to $1.00. I have not researched this.

    • SeattleAreaShopper

I asked last night at a Seattle area Albertsons and the cashier told me she hadn’t heard anything about this change in coupon policy. They are still doing doublers according to her, but they are upset about how some people have been “abusing” the couponing. She said some people do 15 transactions in a row and other shoppers are furious. They will now only allow customers to do one transaction per time thru the line with a cashier then go get back in line. You can do more at the self-checkout in a row if there are no customers behind you waiting.

The cashier said what gets hard is when couponers come in so late at night when there is only one cashier. Contrary to what I had thought, they’d actually prefer we come in between Noon and 8 p.m. according to that cashier. I’m sure all stores are going to be a bit different, but that is what the regular, experienced cashier at one store told me.

  • Amber H

I was a checker YEARS ago & I will say that the noon to 8 rule is generally a good one. While coming in late is fantastic if there are no customers, they tend to show up in groups, so the checkers tend to get backed up. This also happens really easily when you have several transactions. There may be no line when you start, but by the time you’re done, there are 6 more people in line. Also, most people late at night are planning to get in & get out, so they have less patience. If you come in while they have the most checkers, managers, etc., there are more checkstands open AND more people to call if the lines get backed up. So I would bet that the majority of checkers would prefer that time-frame (I would have back in the day!) :)

    • Anne

I use the self checkout at the Albertsons in Olympia, WA. I feel less pressured when doing multiple transactions. The self checkout attendants there are really fun and helpful too. They are always happy to help me with my krazy couponing. Also, I was told they limit customers to 3 transactions in the regular checkout lanes.

    • Meredith

I went to Albertsons at about 3 pm and the checker totally analyzed my coupons and had to call a manager. I felt like a criminal. The line was held up for a good 10 minutes with about 5-6 people behind me. I felt really bad even though it wasn’t my fault. I had two transactions and that was it. Should have been easy. I won’t go that one again! I had no problem whatsoever at the other Albertsons. The checker was happy to do it and was excited when I got free cheese! :-)

  • Meredith

How long is this deal going? I loaded up on cheese, but we could use Ranch too.

    • Annie

      I * think* its already over :(
