The listerine coupons that I’m getting show $1/1, not $2/1.

  • Sherri

There were also Purina One $2.00/1 (any size) coupons in the SmartSource a couple weeks back (8/15 maybe?). Walgreens still has these for 1.99.

  • Laura

At $0.79 each, how does a $1/2 coupon make them free? Wouldn’t the Nabisco Cookies/Crackers be $0.29 each.

    • http://thekrazycouponlady.com/members/heather/ Heather

      Yep, typo- thanks!

  • CJ

I dont see a $1 Colgate Enamel Strength coupon on the Colgate website.

    • Jackie

I do not see 1 either.

  • Pam

There is also a coupon in the September issue of Prevention magazine for the Colgate Total toothpaste for $1.50 off. When I used this today, it generated a catalina for a free Prevention Fall fitness kit, that included a Prevention bag, jump rope, water bottle, and other items. You have to mail the catalina in with the receipt to get it–it’s free.

I bought the Listerine but it didn’t produce a register reward. The cashier, and then the manager, explained that it was because I used the $1 coupon and the manufacturer will therefore not provide any additional reward. I ended up returning it since that has never happened to me before.

    • Sherri

It still should produce a RR. Perhaps you bought the wrong size or the wrong kind? Even if you use a coupon, you should still get the RR.

      • Sherri

Or did you have a RR from last week that you used this week? Sometimes that will happen. If you have a RR from Listerine last week, it won’t produce a RR for this week if you buy it again.

    • Dennis

this is walgreen’s policy on RR. NO RR IS PRINTED IF YOU USE A MANF COUPON OR A RR COUPON. I informed KCL of this fact well over 3 months ago. This eliminates the possibility of any moneymaker situation.

Walgreen’s is the worst store to do business with!!!

      • JEN

Interesting. Thats news to me. I just recently read from Walgreens that a RR may not print if you use a coupon but never that it will not. Nor have I ever had that experience. I believe since Walgreens has no control over what a manufacturer does or does not issue they have language saying it may not to cover their rears. As for what a store employee tells someone I could write a book with crazy whopper stories if I didn’t let it go in one ear and out the other. Perhaps you should try a different location if you are having trouble at the one that told you that giant story.

      • Trinh

I have had no problems with RR’s printing when I use coupons or RR’s from other manufacturers. And I just started couponing a couple months ago with going to Walgreens about a week ago. So perhaps it depends on the store and what you used?

      • Sherri

I have never had this problem.

  • Jackie

Does anyone know what Carmex Lotions $4.99 is?

  • Jill

Can anyone tell me what it means when the Walgeens flyer says “Limit 1 coupon printed per offer…” (I’m new to this!) Thank you!

    • lolosmommy

That means if you buy multiples of the same item in one transaction only one RR will print. So you have to play the multiple transaction game and either collect multiple RR’s to use on other items or alternate between two RR items to use the coupons on eachother…if that makes sense :
Say you want the colgate and the carmex lip balm…..buy one colgate, use that RR to buy the carmex, then use the RR from the carmex on anthother colgate etc..

  • Becca Dubow

I was told this past week at Walgreens:
You can use 1 RR per transaction, no matter the total…so even if you buy 10 items with no other coupons and have many RR’s you can only use 1 at a time. Before the policy was only 1 coupon per item, so if you had 2 coupons, 1 Walgreens and 1 newspaper coupon, and you were buying the 1 item you could not use a RR to pay for it!

Also, you can not use a RR to buy the same item again and get another RR. So….If you buy Colgate for 2.00 after other coupons, and get a 2.00 RR you can not go back and buy another Colgate and use that RR. The RR’s say which manufacturer they are from, or which product they are for!

    • Sherri

The first part you mentioned is not their policy. I would print the Walgreens policy and march right back in there. You can use as many coupons as you have items. So if you have 10 items, 10 RRs, and no other coupons, you’re good. If you have 10 items, 5 coupons, and 5 RRs, then you’re good.

The second part of your statement is correct and has always been correct with the exception of a couple here and there that do produce new RRs. But it’s rare.

Oh…my Colgate Total purchase did give me a CAT for a fitness thing too! FREE, just mail in CAT and my receipt. I used a .75 cents off 1 Colgate coupon from Colgate.com I think. I did mail it in for my 3 year old! He loves to get “stuff”. My Listerine did print a RR and I used a $1.00 off coupon I printed!

I just came from my local Walgreens and the cashier did not want to accept the Trident FB coupon b/c it would be an overage along with in-store coupon. I mentioned to the cashier that it’s not an overage, but cashier would still not accept it, per manager’s discretion. I didn’t feel like calling the manager b/c there was a long line and I had other coupons I was saving on (like Bayer medicine just for .50). Being a guy, I felt strange walking up to the cashier with a handful of coupons. I’ll test another Walgreens store to see if they will honor the FB Trident coupon.

Ok I am fairly new to this site but also at Walgreens this week the Crest Glide floss is being sold for $3.99. There is a coupon in their coupon book for $2 off and also in 9/29 PG there is a coupon for $.75 so once all is said and done that brings the floss down to $1.24!

    • Margi

OPPS in the 8/29 PG not 9/29!

  • Teri

Has anyone tried using the $1/2 General Mills cereal with the cereal cups Walgreens coupon yet? This post is saying that you can get the price down to .09, but the coupon states “boxes” so I am questioning whether Walgreens will accept the GM coupon

    • charolyn

I heard from a friend of mine that she did this today & it worked.

  • charolyn

There is a $1 Colgate coupon in their diabetic magazine (towards the back of it)-you find them in their phramacy & is free.

  • Ruth

I scored great deals last night at my local Walgreens, there were a number of clearance items. I spend 38.58, still have 8.00 of RR and saved 358.60. Be on the look out for clearance items and there are coupons for most of the clearance items deals.

Always bring the Walgreens coupon policy with you and the number of the customer care when shop at Walgreens or any other store. A number of cashiers and managers hate the RR’s and the use of coupons. The cashiers and managers try d to make their own rules and since Walgreens is a national chain, they are not allowed to make their own rules. I have stood at the store and called Walgreens customer care line a number of times. The store personnel gets very upset when you call their bluff or show them that you actually know their policies better than they do but it is worth it, the next shopper who uses RR and coupons will have an easier time shopping at that location. I have seen a change at number of stores when they realize that customers know their rights and will stand up for themselves.
Never let them intimidate you and I had a number of managers act like they actually owned the store instead of being just another Walgreens employee. Walgreens wants you to use coupons because they are interested in making money, they don’t care if customers get stuff cheap or free, they get the money back for the coupons we use.

Can you just list the types of coupons u used? Like…breathe right, tide, precise, etc…..???
