What is triggering the UP rewards? I don’t need butt paste & don’t drink pepsi? Is there another way to combine these items?

    • Tiffany

The Tide is what is triggering the +ups

  • TRESA

    LOL……..I’m with you Christa.

  • Kate

Sacramento ad did not list Pepsi deal. The only deal I see is 3/$9.99 -$2 Up reward on COKE & COKE products :-(

    • Judy

The pepsi is a video value coupon on the rite aid video value website. :)

      • shanda

is the pepsi in the rise and dine section?

      • shanda

        It finally popped up.

You can read more and see this week’s coupon matches with the Rite Aid ad here http://thekrazycouponlady.com/category/rite-aid. The +Up reward is produced for each Tide product.

Pepsi, 20 oz are in the refrigerated section. it’s not an advertised deal and it’s not in the ad.

There are many other items that could be substituted for the butt paste, listerine is one that comes to mind. 2 Gain dish soaps could be substituted for the Pepsi.

  • James

Kinda double dipping on the manufacturer’s coupons there…

    • http://thekrazycouponlady.com/members/admin/ Krazy Coupon Lady

We are not double dipping in any way. We are using one manufacturer coupon per item. It can be confusing, because coupons printed from Rite Aid video values say “manufacturer coupon” even though they’re not. Rite Aid policy specifically states that you can use video values and manufacturer coupon on one item.

  • Brianne

Wish the butt paste was that cheap here in Washington!!!! I went to go purchase and it is 9.99 compared to the 3.99 you have posted

    • http://thekrazycouponlady.com/members/admin/ Krazy Coupon Lady

$9.99 is regular price. It probably just wasn’t marked correctly on the shelf. Did you pick up a store ad? You’ll find the Bourdeaux’s is advertised as on sale for $3.99. Hope that helps!

    • Jennifer

I bought the butt paste in Washington and it was 3.99

However, there were 2 different kinds of butt paste and only one had a 3.99 sign in front of it, so I didn’t try the other kind (all natural).

  • Amanda

Thanks! I was able to combine some Tide with Pampers for my daughter. This week has been great! Keep the deals coming. :o )

  • Dee

The Pantene UP reward was printing multiple times yesterday too as I got 4 Pantene’s and 2 $2 UPR. You get 1 $2 wyb 2 Pantene

  • http://the-high-chair.blogspot.com/ Rachel @ The High Chair

Man…why am I no where near a Rite Aid? I use those Stain Release packets all the time and LOVE them!

  • Tracy

The math in scenario 1 is not correct. You would pay 2.96 or 3.96 before tax depending on which butt paste coupon you used. Or am I missing something?

    • Annie

There is a $3 video coupon for the Butt Paste – and the Nivea is 2.99 but the SSR is 1.99 and the up is 1.. so still free.. on both accounts.

  • shanda

I can’t find the pepsi coupon?

  • tina

Actually it is double dipping – I asked Eric Harkreader from Rite Aid Public Relations in an email.

My question was “I currently carry the coupon policy in my purse. However, it says nothing about using Video Adperk coupons in conjunction with Rite Aid circular coupons, manufacturer coupons, $5 off $25 coupons, etc.

I recently had a different Rite Aid store manager that wouldn’t let me use a Video Adperk coupon with a Rite Aid circular coupon and a manufacturer coupon.

Can you clarify this for me?”

    AND HE SAID

    “That’s a pretty common question.

The trick to that policy, as I’m sure you noticed, is differentiating whether a coupon is a “manufacturer coupon” or a “total purchase coupon,” as manufacturer coupons cannot be stacked for the same item (unless a circular advertises the deal as such, as we always defer to the circular).

As it relates to Video Values, many of these are manufacturer coupons and should be treated as such according to the policy. The key to deciphering the coupon is looking closely at the coupon as it prints out. If it says “Manufacturer’s Coupon” at top, it is just as it says and is not typically allowed to be present in combination with other manufacturers’ coupons for the same item. If it says “Valuable Coupon,” it may be stacked with any other coupon unless the fine print says otherwise (or our store team exercises their right to “limit the number of total purchase coupons that may be used by a customer in a single day.”

    Thanks again for the Q”

    • JJ

I have always contacted the person directly in charge of the coupon policies. Carrie Fry:cfry@riteaid.com

The policy just changed with the final word on this issue put on paper less than a month ago. Maybe your note was sent before the final coupon press release because it was very specific. Here is the link to the new policy:
      http://thekrazycouponlady.com/riteaidofficialpolicyaugust10.pdf

(maybe personal contact of Joanie/Heather would have been more appropriate. This is the kind of thing that illicits war around here!)

      • Denise

JJ, great reply. That policy is crystal clear.

  • tina

So to sum this up the Pepsi adperks coupon says “Manufacturer’s Coupon” at top and thus it cannot be stacked with the B1G1 free internet printable manufactuer coupon

    • tina k

actually Tina (hey thats my name too :) ) the policy clearly states that you can combine a Rite Aid MC with a regular MC. It says that you can you a coupon that starts with “5″(regular MC) and a coupon that starts with “49″ (Rite Aid MC) and a coupon that starts with “48″ a regular Rite Aid coupon, not MC, TOGETHER. But you cant do 2 of the same kinds on 1 item
      Hope this helps

    • Lisa

The Rite Aid coupon policy states that you can use mutliple coupons on one item.

Multiple Coupons (Last paragraph on the page)
“One Rite Aid valuable coupon, one Rite Aid Manufacturer coupon (ADPerks), AND (it doesn’t say OR) one Manufacturer coupon can be used on a single item.”

The manager you talked to might want to read the policy. I have never had a problem in over a year at my store.

      • tina

Ladies I think everyone is missing my point. The pepsi ad perk coupon was not a valuable coupon. It was a Manufacturers coupon. The Pepsi internet B1G1 was also a Manufacturers coupon. Therefor you are using 2 manufacturers coupons.

      • tina

Nevermind I was wrong lol. See my comments below.

      • tina

Lisa you were totally right. thank you for enlightening me!

  • heather

My ad states the sale for $5.99 tide stain release is for the 18 count, and the coupon is for the 24 count or larger. I see the problem here is using the wrong coupon on the wrong item. The coupon for the 18 ct is a $1/1 not the $3/1 :)

    • tina k

my coupon is for 15-34 count. From 8/1 P&G and 8/29 one also

  • lori

i bought 3 18 counts, 2 sobe life water, 2 gain dw soap. Used 3 $3 tide coupons, 2 $1 gain coupons, 1 sobe BOGO coupons, & 1 $4/20 Rite Aid coupon. I paid $6.91 out of pocket and received $3 in up rewards. Thanks KCL for bringing this hot deal to light!

  • Ashley

I just went to Rite Aid and bough 2 stain release and 1 tide and 2 nivea chapsticks and DID NOT GET ANY up rewards! The guy working was having trouble so just gave me $2 cash back instead I guess it worked out anyways though!

  • Wendy

Just to let everyone know, Rite Aid has changed their bonus coupon from $5.00/$25.00 to $4.00/$20.00.

    • Michelle

There are still $5/$25 video value coupons..you have to watch the video’s for them

  • http://www.fullerfamilyfrugality.blogspot.com christine

woohoo! the up rewards are definitely printing multiples, and the rewards are rolling as well. I did several transactions and bought tide products in each one, and used my previous tide up rewards, and i still got more tide up rewards. bottom line is i got 5 bottles tide, and 5 stain release plus a bunch of other things. after coupons, and up rewards i got $80 (based on sale prices) worth of stuff for $20 and still came home with $4 up rewards. thanks KCL. i did make one mistake, i could have saved about $5 more if i had just thought it out a bit more, but I am still learning.

    • phuong

Me too,I just start to learn 2 week ago ,i bought about over 250 $ worth of stuff pay out of pocket 95$ and get back 62 $ on SCR,so over 250$ and pay for 30 something $,not bad hah,im so thankful to know this website ,Im becoming krazy coupon lady soon.

  • tina

Oh wait, I think I am the one missing your points! LOL, I just reread what you’re saying. So we can use an ad perk even if it says manufacturers coupon with a regular manufacturers coupon? I’ll go reexamine the coupon policy.

  • tina

Ok – i just reread the rite aid coupon policy and you guys are totally right. Dang I got ripped off at Rite Aid. i wonder if I can go back with reciept and get reimbursed? The email I got from Eric Harkreader from Rite Aid Public Relations was right before the new coupon policy came out.

  • Lori

Is anyone else having trouble cashing in +UP rewards that have printed multiple times? If I try to use more than one it beeps and says that Reward has already been used. It happened to me last week with the Purex and another time before that since they changed the policy to print only one reward per item per week.

    • Megan

The +UP rewards will beep and say that they have already been used if they have been scanned before, even if they were not used for a previous transaction. For example, I tried to use a +UP reward on a transaction, the coupon was scanned, but it would not let me use it because of the amount of tax I still had remaining on my balance. I pocketed the +UP reward and saved it for a later use. The next time I tried to use the reward, it said that the coupon had already been used (because it had been scanned). Beware and always try to make sure you have enough balance remaining to sustain the +UP reward before having the store scan it!

  • norma

I’ve never had a problem using UP rewards at rite aid.

  • Sue

I had the same problem that said I had used it already. I’m not going to Rite Aid anymore cause I’m tired of these kinds of problems and then you lose out on it. This was in Washington State.
