Free Zumba classes at Curves! Do you Zumba?

Curves

Okay ladies, so share with me something: Do you Zumba?  I have done some Zumba and although my dancing more closely resembles Kate Gosselin, than the Zumba instructor, the classes are a lot of fun.  Here’s a fun offer from Curves:  Get a free week of Curves circuit with Zumba, no strings!  Zumba is the kind of thing you’ll either love or hate, so you might as well give it a whirl while it’s free.   If nothing else, you’ll burn calories laughing.  :)

I go to Zumba and I love it! Unfortunately I am going to have to stop soon because I am pregnant and no longer able to keep up and do some of the things. I suppose I could still go and tone things down and adapt to what I can do. That is what my instructor recommends to everyone anyway.

I considered taking a Zumba class 3 times a week. But I ended up buying the Zumba Fitness Wii game, and BOY am I glad I did! The 20 minute beginner workout was so intense it took me another 20 minutes just to recover! I will admit that I’m pretty out of shape and as a general rule avoid exercise of any kind. I probably would have died if I had gone to the 1-hour live class. So I would say that if you’re looking to get in some serious shape, this is a great idea!

I’ve been to two Zumba classes at Curves. It’s incorporated into the circuit. Instead of the “rest stations” where you run in place/do cardiac exercise between the equipment stations, you instead do Zumba, led by a Zumba instuctor who stands in the center of the circuit. You change stations every minute and just do one round instead of two in 30 minutes. It’s really fun and quite a work-out! In fact, I look forward to the machines so I can “get a rest” during the Zumba!

I have been doing Zumba for 3 years. I LOVE it!! But, I don’t understand how that that correlates with a Curves workout??

It’s really neat, actually. The work out goes by incrediblly fast. (as if the circuit didn’t in the first place!) With Zumba incorporated, it just flys by and surprisingly, you find yourself sweating pretty good at the end of it! I like the music and how there is more energy because of the zumba moves during the recovery stations.

      Pretty fun! =)

I love Zumba and try to get to the class at least twice a week…It is a wonderful high energy workout and so much fun you forget you are even exercising.
