Publix: my new found love!

Posted in: Publix  //  Comments (1)

This is my first time getting a savings like this on groceries. I am new to couponing (started a month ago) and so excited… so I thought I’d brag a little. :)

The 2 deoderant, 2 cough drops and 4 floss are from Target (they were out of the $.99 ibuprofen or I would have gotten that for free too), but everything else is from Publix:
14 Muir Glen diced tomatoes
14 GreenWise diced tomatoes
4 Newman’s salsa
4 GreenWise salsa
12 Hunts tomato sauce
8 Progresso soups
1 box animal crackers
2 Kotex pads 18ct each

My total OOP: $27.59 (including tax)
My total savings: $107.22!!!

Yeah for coupons!

Rain Checks Pay Off

Posted in: Kroger  //  Comments Off

Around the Super Bowl, King Soopers ran a sale for items if you purchased 10 participating items you received an additional 50 cents off per item. Ultimately you would receive an additional $5.00 saving at the register. I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter Spray was one of the items on sale for $1.49. So after buying 10, (or a combination of 10 participating products) the price was 99 cents each. Well, it was such a great deal, they sold out of the ICBINB Spray. So I got a rain check that was valid for 30 days.

This week they have a similar sale except you get 30 cents off per item and $3.00 to spend on your next order.

I purchased 10 I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter Spray @ $3.99 each ($39.90). With the rain check it made them 99 cents each. On top of that I used my $3.00 savings. They also let me use two 75 cents off one ICBINB product coupons. Since the store doubles coupons, that was an additional $2.00 savings. So for all 10 I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter Sprays I spent $4.90. I saved 88%.

So you might be thinking to yourself, ahhh that’s not that big of a deal. Well to me it is. I do not purchase butter, shortening, or cooking spray. I use the I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter Spray for everything. BEST PART, it has 0 CALORIES, no FAT, no CHOLESTEROL and it cooks/flavors just like butter.

I love to entertain and have people over for dinner so naturally I get asked a lot about recipes. When I let my friends in on the secret of I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter Spray, they’re amazed how versatile it is.

If you buy this product, you know it rarely goes on sale. At this price, I wish I would have bought twice as much (if the store would allow it). I’ll still share a few with some of my friends!

COST: $39.90
PAID: $4.90
SAVINGS: 88%

(Meijer) Jello Gelatin and Pudding Deal

Posted in: Other  //  Comments Off

Here is my deal! I did not want to unload the fridge but you can see I have it stuffed full! I have pudding stashed in there all over!
Meijer sale a couple weeks ago was:
Jello refrigerated gelatin or pudding 6 packs 2/$5 PLUS get a 3 pk of Jello dessert Temptations FREE with each 6 pk.
I got 4 rain checks each for 6 of the deal then went to ebay and found coupons for $1 off each 6 pk, bought 24 coupons for $3!
Over the last few weeks I have been using the rainchecks and coupons, spacing them out so we have time to eat them and I still have one raincheck to go! YUM what a deal!

Here is the breakdown on all 48 items:
Total non-coupon savings: $78.72
Total manufacturer coupon savings: $24.00
Savings Total: $102.72
Total OOP: $36.00
Percent saved: 65%!
PLUS inside each Temptations 3 pk is a .75 cent off coupon that does not expire for like 2 years! I will be holding onto those for a good sale, I love those things and at 100 calories each they are perfect for a snack.

Newbie – Kroger deal

Posted in: Kroger  //  Comments (1)

All this for $ 2.90, Wow! Not bad for a Newbie! Would have been $ 12.50 before coupons.
Even using Kroger 10/$10, FREE Kroger coupon for Carrots I received in the mail, I don’t know how but it looks like I got an extra .50 off called (eCpn Knorr), does anyone know what that is? I also got a $ 19.99 catalina coupon for an oil change, funny thing is I just got an oil change Saturday morning (I paid more than this). Thank goodness for the savings!!!
