I went to CVS to purchase the 5/5 listerine and colgate products and use my 2/2 coupon to get them for free. The register actually processed my printed coupon as additional taxable charges leaving me to pay double for my products. Weird for sure. The nice young man at the register was so embarrassed when I pointed it out that he immediately reversed the charges and gave me $4.00 in ECB’s

I’m new to this. Can you use multiple ECB per transaction with CVS???

Yes!

Hi, I scored two of these deals last week at CVS. I went tonight and tried to buy two again and get the extra care bucks for this week. It did not print them out. The manager told me I had already gotten my limit for the ecb’s for the crest toothpaste. I told him that I got my ecb’s for the sale last week, and I should have gotten ecb’s for the sale this week. He told me to call the 1 800 number and ask them. So, I used two of my $1 off coupons for crest and still had to pay $2.50 for each tube. Not such a hot deal when it works out this way. Anyone else out there able to get the ecb’s last week and this week? HELP!!!!!!!

I’ve just been couponing for a couple of weeks now and I got this great deal! Just be careful that it rings up correctly at the register. The toothpaste actually rang up for full price at the register & NO EXTRA BUCKS. I had to go back into the store & they were awesome & re-rang it for me and gave me $3 extra bucks instead of $2.50! Great deal!

I just came from CVS. I had an internet manufacturer’s coupon for another item (not the toothpaste). I had printed the coupon in black and white. The cashier informed me that he’d take it this time, but that they can only accept manufacturer’s internet coupons that are printed in color. Has anyone else encountered this? Is this just a California thing?

Reply

I have never encountered that. But I’ll check into more this week and let everyone know. According to their coupon policy they do accept printable manufacturer coupons and it states nothing about them having to be printed in color.

I do not have this coupon from PG 2/27. Is there away to print it somewhere? Thanks so much!

There’s no where to print it but you can always look on ebay to purchase it.

Can you define this? what is PG 2/27?

I am having trouble on finding the coupon for the $1 off the toothpaste. Could someone point me in the right direction?

since CVS had this deal last week also & I already bought the limit of 2…does anyone know if I can purchase 2 more since it is a new sale week cycle?

Be careful that Crest Pro Health has been found to produce burning and peeling in some people’s mouth. Also, the toothpast contains stannous fluoride that may cause surface staining on teeth.

According to the Crest website the brown stains means it’s working!

“Teeth discoloration could actually be one indication, in some people, that the product is working: after the rinse kills germs in your mouth, the dead germs can collect on the teeth surface and create the appearance of a brown stain.”

If possible look for another brand like Spry toothpaste.

It is a limit of 2 per CVS card for the week of the sale. No more ECB’s will print after you buy 2 in total.

The same sale and ECB was running this week, so I already picked up 2. Next week, I will also pick up 2 since the same deal is running but it’s a new week of deals.

So…i’m still tryin to figure this thing out…does the limit mean per tansaction? will the ecb keep printing or stop after the first two? Will two more in another transaction not print the ecb? Exactly how do ya’ll do this?

You can only get the EB on two of these total. So it doesn’t matter how many times you go back to the store….you can only do this twice. They have a way of tracking it through your card.

I keep reading in the blogs that each week starts a new cycle and if I bought the toothpaste last week and received my limit that if the same sale is running again this week, I should be able to score the same deal twice. However, this did not happen. I bought two of the crest last week and scored 2 ($2.50) ecb’s. I went in tonight and bought two of the crest again, but it did not print out the ecb’s. The manager told me that I had reached my limit. I told him that I haven’t bought anything since last Saturday and this was a new week starting with Sunday (yesterday) with a new limit. Which is correct? Should I have gotten my ecb’s again with week? Thanks for any help.

Each week does start a new cycle. So the Crest should have re-started. Some managers would work with you and print your EB out anyway. If you are unable to get your EB and the 1-800 # doesn’t help then I would take the toothpaste back and certainly not pay $2.50.

No you can get them in one transaction. BTW this deal is also running this week too. So 2 this week, and 2 next week. stocking up.

Newbee!
Do you get reward bucks for each (limit 2) do I have to do more than one transaction or visits for our stock up pile..

Buy up to the limit every time you see a deal like this. For example, this week, CVS has the same/similar deal running where you can get free toothpaste (limit 2). Again, sale this week (limit 2). Now you have 4, but there’s no way that you can go through 4 toothpastes in 2 weeks, so you have just stocked up – now, when you need it, you’re not going out and paying full price for it. CVS imposes limits (usually 1 or 2) for each ECB deal and those limits are per household/ per week (not per transaction). Personal care products and cleaning products can be had for free or less than a dollar on a regular basis. There is no need to buy a truckload at once. Once you are at this for awhile, you will see what the sales cycles are and will stock up according to your family’s needs. I’m sorry to be so long-winded, but I get scared when I think that someone does not know how to stockpile. It’s a gradual process and takes months/years to get a great one going (where you are actually able to use the products that you are buying) – you can’t build one overnight.

On my way right now to CVS..Going to buy 2 toothpaste’s $3.49 each, give them 2 coupons for $1 for each , pay $4.98 plus tax..Get get ECB for $5 and go back next week and get 2 for free. I think I got it.. Thank you all for your patients. :)

Question, I am still trying to figure this couponing fun out. So, to get the $2.50 ECBs twice, do we need to do two separate transactions? Or will it print both in the same trans?

P.S. Thanks so much for all you do!

Reply

You can get 2 toothapastes in1 transaction, use 2 $1 coupons, and get $5ECB onyour receipt. Or you can do 2 separate transactions, use the 1st $2.50 EBC to pay for the 2nd transaction. Less OOP this way :)
