my walgreens considered 2 in each box a twin pack so i used 1 coupon per box !!! yay !!!

  2. Lance says:

Need clarification. I have a rapid reward from a purchase I made last week for a cottonelle product. If I take advantage of the deal this week and purchase 2 colgate total toothpaste for $6 and use 2 .75 off Colgate product plus the $3 rapid reward will I recieve the Colgate $4 rapid reward?

    Thanks

Yesterday I was told at the pharmacy only one RR could be cashed in per day, after i gathered up the right number of items per coupon. This ‘policy’ was posted as ‘Limit one RR per day’ onthe shelves which to me meant they wouldn’t print out more than one per day (but they did), but then I couldn’t use them! These are hard enough to use. They also wouldn’t apply the Caritin $5 coupon from the paper AND a manufacturer coupon. THe price on the Claritin was $30, not the $20 Walmart and Target charge. What gives? I was giving them a last chance but will change my prescriptions to go elsewhere after 10 years. I’ve used coupons on and off forever, my grandmother raised us on them.

    • Marnie says:

PS: On the plus side the shelves weren’t completely empty for RR’s for the first time in three months.

  4. Nikita says:

I bought this yesterday without reading the new posts. The cashier told me it wouldn’t work but I said it would, and the register took all 4 coupons. The Magic Erasers were $2.09 by me, but still a good deal. I got the Febreeze coupons, but mine was $1.00/2 so instead I used a Febreeze Air Effects $1.00/1 coupon. The Air Effects were the same price. I also bought the GUM eez that have been on sale. I walked out with $5RR and payed $1.88 for everything, which is about $.38 each!

  5. Kenna says:

AHHH I am so terrible at this! I get to the register and get all flustered! I did two transactions and bought two gillete razor kits (for my husband) and two tylenol presision products. Along with the deodorant deal some envelopes and this sponge deal. I TOTALLY FORGOT TO HAVE THEM SCAN THE WALGREENS BOOKLET COUPONS ON EVERYTHING!! I am SOOO bummed. That is like $15! I didn’t realize until I was walking out the door then I felt so stupid because they were busy that I didn’t go back. Has anyone else done this? Is there anything I can do to get some of that money back? I hate to return everything but those aren’t that good of deals without using the coupons…..

    • Shirl says:

I don’t know… that is a lot of $$$… If it was me i would go back and politely ask if it would be to late for them to scan the wags booklet and bring in your receipt… It’s worth a try anyway…

      • Crystal Clausing says:

I would take your receipt back and tell them you forgot to use the coupons. They will have to get a manager, but the manager will verify your receipt and then give you cash back. I does not matter if it is $2 or $20, you worked hard for that money and you deserve to get it back. I used to do the same thing. To make it easier, I keep scissors in my purse (a small set :)) and I cut the walgreens coupons out as I pick up the items or put them in an envelope ahead of time.

    • Amy D says:

go back in and give them the coupons to get your money back! i did this, i swear, like 100 times this week!
my walgreen’s transactions were all messed up – the poor old lady that works there is so nice but can’t scan the coupons to save her life so some were missed, i was double charged, etc. I had to have them fix like 3 things!
Same thing happened @ target w/ the aveeno sunscreen deal – only got a $5 gift card, supposed to get $10-had to go to customer service to get the other $5.
Today – Albertson’s – cashier forgot to scan the store coupon for the deodorant twice so had to go to CS to get money back!
I have no qualms about asking for my money back! It can be a pain but you will kick yourself if you don’t! Don’t give up – usually you will find if you ask, it usually works out (not always) but in most cases!!

  6. Miranda says:

Went in to pick these up today, my store charged 2.09 I had 5 1.50/1 from 5/1. I actually made .03 after the RR :) Love these things and use them daily!!! Thank you.

  7. Shirl says:

I agree with the 2 ladies above. I would definately NOT shop at walgreens if I didn’t get the RR;s because without those Walgreens is higher priced on everything…

  8. Sammie says:

Shannon, its def not worth shopping @ walgreens without the b1g1 deals or the RRs. Because of the RRs my oop every week is less and less.

    • shannon says:

Sammie, I told the woman at Walgreens. I said why would I buy from Walgreens If I can wait until the product or products go on sale with ECB at CVS. She said that she’d do the same thing! lol

  9. shannon says:

You only get points in my area..not worth it.

  10. phil says:

Here is an ongoing deal at Home Depot for the Mr Clean erasers. If you get the P&G coupon books with the $1.00 that makes it free. These are normally $1.00 for the single pack erasers.

  11. Sammie says:

Went in tonight and all the cheaper erasers were gone however they had 2 of the more expensive erasers for $2.61 i got 2 erasers used 2/$1.50 qs, got febreze warmer and refills used b1g1 warmer free got 1 flosser and one reeses. Also used $4 RR from previous buys total oop was a little over $5, plus got $5 RR. Next transaction i got another flosser,2 haribo gummy bears used 2/$0.30 qs which made them $0.70 each and used $3 rr from my first transaction total oop was $1.05 plus got another $2rr from flossers. My wags was out of all razors and body washes however i went earlier in the week and got 2 of each noxzema and bic, shouldve got more then but i didnt want to be a hoarder and clear the shelves. The wags is always cleared out I dont get why people feel the need to clear the shelves.

  12. Bekki says:

This RR for this deal aren’t applicable in WA state. We get “bonus” points instead. Maybe that is why some of you didn’t get the RR like you were supposed to. Does anyone know where to find the complete list of RR per state for Walgreens? Thanks!

  13. Shirl says:

Our walgreens has these for $2.61… no good deal here.. But I found them at Wal-mart for $1.97 and with the $1.50 cpn I got some for .47… what a deal…
and I spend less money oop too..

  14. Jennifer says:

So now I’m getting really confused. So what does a twin pack look like and what does it mean? It says 1 mr. clean twin pack and the picture on the coupon looks like it’s just some erasers with 2 in it. What’s the final verdict?

    • KAty says:

This is from the COMPANY explaining how the coupons are supposed to be used to avoid coupon FRAUD
      Dear ********,

Thank you for contacting Mr. Clean.

The Mr. Clean 2 count packages and the Twin Packs are not the same. A Twin Pack can be 2 of the 2 count packages of the Mr. Clean products wrapped together. Mr. Clean 1.50/Mr. Clean Twin Pack, Any (1) Or Mr. Clean Items: Spray, Liquid, Eraser, Any (2) means that you would get $1.50 off any Mr. Clean Twin packs or $1.50 off any 2 Mr. Clean Items whether they be Spray, Liquid or Eraser.

      I hope this information helps.

      Jerron J.
      Mr Clean Team

      • Shirl says:

I have been told by so many store employees that if the upc bar code on the cpn matches the product bar code that it is alright to use… I have been told that the store does get reimbursed….

I read the form letter from the company and the wording is somewhat confusing… It says ” The Twin Pack CAN BE” 2 of the 2 count packages….

Is it CAN BE or IS…. Hmmmmmm…..

      • K says:

Basically a twin pack is like you see cereal at club stores. 2 seperate boxes. If u took 2 packs of the 2 count erasers and taped them together that would b a twin pack. It’s still
A really good deal! I figured u could either get 4 packs of erasers using 2 coupons plus the febreeze or 6 packs of the erasers using three coupons. Still a
        Good deal

  15. Amy says:

This whole “2 packs of 2 erasers is a twin pack” is CRAP! The word pack IS SINGULAR. Twin is one of two identical things as in THERE ARE TWIN ERASERS IN THAT PACK. Everyone should go to their Walgreens, get all the items, use the coupons, pay and when they don’t print out the RR say, “Oh okay…then I want my money and coupons back…THANK YOU AND HAVE A NICE DAY!!!”

  16. Mary says:

I normally hate WAGS for deals, but my love for the magic eraser got the best of me. They were completely out of the erasers, and when I asked for a raincheck, I wanted to confirm the RRs would print next week with the raincheck. The store manager said the RR will not print next week, since the deal would be over this Saturday. Is that true??

    • couponj says:

He is right, Wags Rain Checks will not give you RRs. They are only good for the sale price.

  17. laura says:

hi i just did this deal at walgreens tonightand paid 367 after my coupons and didnt print a register rewards of 300 for me my cashier wasnt very freindly so i didnt want to make a scene

  18. Audrey says:

Went to a Walgreens in my area and they have the $10.00 on some slected items also and the $3.00(RR) So i tryed to follow the Deal but i think it wasnt a great deal so i left :( they had the Magic eraser twin pack for $2.09 so if i bought 4 my total would be $8.36 b4 taxes (got the Q for these )then i picked up the febreze set & refresh which were $2.61 each had to get that to complete the $10.00 purchase i have the ($1.00)Q on 2 febreze which would make the grand total Out of pocket $13.58,coupons applied First transaction would be $6.58 after coupons so if i continue to do the 2nd tranactions again and apply the (RR) i would be paying # $3.58 per transaction to me its a NO DEAL!! What u Guys Think???

  19. Joey says:

I went to walgreens tonight to try and score this deal, and besides being out of the product, the employee told me that you can only purchase 1 2pk of magic erasers, per customer, and i would have to mix and match other mr clean products to get the RR. Pretty much said even if they did have the item in stock, i wouldnt have been able to buy 4. Pfff…. :/

  20. Kate says:

I just got back from Walgreens, and the twin pack Original Magic Erasers were $2.01 each! I picked up 5, used 5 $1.50/1 coupons, paid $10.05 before coupons -$7.50 in coupons = $2.55, get $3 RR back … which means it was a $0.45 moneymaker! Woohoo!

  21. Christina says:

I was only able to use 1 $1.50 off coupon per 2 packs of erasers. I went to 2 different Walgreens and both said that the 2 packs were NOT the same thing as a Twin Pack.

  22. Kris G says:

Here’s 2 questions about wags (or anywhere, but in my case – wags)

    1) If I have a bogo and the item does not have a store promotion, can I use 2 bogos for the 2 items and get them free?

    2) transaction #1: razors, got rr’s. trans #2: purchased something that used a $2 mfr coupon and wanted to use rr’s. Cashier said couldn’t do that because rr’s are considered a mf cpn.

    Please help!!!!

    • Trysha says:

Here’s 2 answers about Wags for you:
      1) You cannot use 2 BOGO Q to get 2 items free. However, you could use a BOGO and a $off for two like items. BOGO Q goes toward free item and $off Q goes toward one you’re paying for.
      2) Sounds like you needed a filler. The number of Qs used has to be equal to or less then number of items you are purchasing. If you were only purchasing one item you could only use one coupon. If you want to use RR in the transaction, you would need to grab a filler. I usually try to find something cheap off clearance shelf or a candy bar. Hope this helps and good luck!

  23. KAty says:

according to another blog, the woman got clarification from the company about this coupon. A 2 pk of erasers is NOT a twin pack- it counts as a single item. a twin pack would have two packs regardless of the amonut in them. This means you have to buy 2 packs of the 2 pack ( 4 total erasers) to use the coupon. I know it is going through for people but it isnt how the manufactur wants the coupon to be used. I know wording is confusing but we need to be honest as possible with Q’s to avoid making it harder to use!

  24. Sanchia says:

My set and refresh coupon is P& G was for $1.00/2

  25. couponj says:

Can someone help me understand how this is not coupon fraud? The Mr. Clean Twin pack is not the same product as a 2 pack of Magic Erasers. The coupon states the $1.50 is off 2 eraser items.

So, in this scenario it looks like ethically you should only use 2 coupons and the OOP is $3 higher… still a good deal.

    • KAty says:

You are right. According to a poster on weusecoupons.com she got an email from the company clarifiying that each pack of 2 is only a single item not a twin pack. in order to use the coupon you would have to buy 2-2packs per Q.

    • Tammy says:

I thought the same thing. I actually did a similar deal at my grocery store today but did it using 1 coupon per 2 2 pack. After seeing this I thought I spent too much but then remembered what the coupon actually said.

  26. Amanda says:

This deal didn’t work for me quite as good because
    a. they would not give me a RR for $3because i used coupons and they didn’t add up to $10 then. : (
b.the febreeze (was $4 something) was suppose to be 25% off .. again they said they wouldn’t discount cause i had used a coupon with : (
    c. I had to give up one of the above coupons to use a previous $3 RR cause you can only use as man MC as items .. and the considered an RR a MC. : (

New to couponing… started trying it out because of TLC extreme coupon show.

    I will keep trying though! : )

    • Evan says:

Cashiers cannot refust to give you RRs for an eligible sale, it prints out automatically from the Catalina machine if the computer hits the required PREcoupon total. The only way I could see cashiers intentionally not giving you the RR is if they don’t put any tape into the Catalina machine. All you need is $10 before coupons and you are fine (tax does not count).

    • nicole says:

RR are considered manufacter coupons. So if you buy 5 items and have a coupon for each item you would have to buy a filler item to use the RR. A filler can be anything and any price doesnt have to be as much as the RR as long as your total price doesnt go below zero before tax. I hope that makes since. Most of these coupon sites have videos posted I would recommend watching them to learn more about shopping at walgreens it can be a little confusing to learn everything at first.

  27. Evan says:

Coupons in NJ are $1/2 Mr. Clean and $1/2 Set and Refresh. Makes it not such a great deal here unfortunately.

  28. cassie says:

mine did not have the set and refreash…so i got an airfreshner…it was $2.46 and i used a $1 coupon….si that made each item after you minus the RR….$0.04 for each item!

  29. Tiffany says:

Can someone please explain to me exactly how to maximize Wag’s RR program? I always do it wrong, then either spend too much, or get in an argument with the cashier, or none of my rewards print out. I tried to do a transaction, get the RR’s, then use the RR’s on the following transaction. Usually, my RR’s for the second transaction don’t print out. I’ve been told by a cashier that if I use a RR in a transaction, that a RR won’t print because I used a RR in that transaction. I’ve also been told that the RR won’t print only if I try to use the RR in a similar transaction ie copying the first transaction exactly. I quit shopping at Wag’s because it was too confusing. Can someone clarify how to shop here??

    • dropofrain says:

Tiffany, please check all the tabs on this website. There is a video posted on how to shop at Walgreens to maximize your savings and there is a tab “Walgreens 101″ in the Beginner’s area. Good luck

    • Stephanie says:

Our Walgreens has a notice right on the check out that IF you purchase the goods, get the rewards – that if you repeat the same transaction and use the RR that you received from the 1st transaction another one will NOT print out!

  30. Ele says:

Thanks Goodness I sign up for everything. Thank you all!! <3

  31. Christina says:

Thank you so much for sharing this! This will be my first multiple item under a dollar purchase… well besides the 6 Nestle bars I got from Fred Meyer for $0.50 this week!!

For those of you wondering, the $0.50 off coupon on the Febreze Set and Refresh is going to leave your total at $0.87 plus tax; not too shabby.

  32. Megan says:

I have a quick question…the instructions say “Use 4 $1.50/1 Mr. Clean twin pack or (2) Mr. Clean spray, liquid or eraser items from PG 5/1.”

If I buy 4 Mr. Clean Eraser twin packs, would I be able to use 2 $1.50/1 Mr. Clean twin pack and 2 $.50/1 Mr. Clean spray, liquid, or eraser items from PG 5/1 towards this purchase? Thanks.

    • amy says:

i have to check, but i think the $1.50 coupon says you can either use it for one twin pack of erasers OR you have to purchase two of the other items (liquid and/or spray).

the way you write, sounds like you could use two $1.50 coupons for two twin packs and two .50 coupons for two more magic erasers. that may end up being the way I have to do it too. i have a bunch of febreze coupons but i really don’t use febreze all that often.

      • Megan says:

Thanks for your help! I’m going to try tonight, so I’ll post what my experience is. Thanks :)

  33. stephanie says:

why not buy 6 mr.clean Erasers? I mean if you use the $1.50 coupons and all you get them for less then $3 — which means with your rewards back they will be Free

    • kristi says:

you can only use 4 like p&g coupons in one transaction. it says so on each and every coupon. that is why you can not purchase 6 like several of you are suggesting. well you COULD purchase 6, but only use coupons on 4 of them. that’s why this is a better deal to mix it up a little bit.

  34. Amy says:

Buy 6 Mr Clean Magic Erasers at Walgreens: $1.94 each (SALE PRICE)
    Total: $11.64
Then, use 6 of the May 1st P&G coupons for $1.50 off of a twin pack
Total: $2.64 out of pocket but get $3 back in Walgreens Register Rewards

  35. Jen says:

Our ad doesn’t show a price. It only sys that the items are 25% off….but it does state buy 10 participating items and get $3 RR’s…hmmm…..

  36. Breakaway says:

So, where do you go to sign up to receive the P&G coupon booklet in the mail?

    • haleemay says:

You can sign up on P & G’s website. Also check “Organize in Style.com”. I signed up and get LOTS of good P & G coupons. Generally they’re better than the ones in the newspaper.

  37. bobby says:

If I use RR from previous deals (not P&G’s) to pay for this, will i still receive the $3 RR for this deal?

  38. macy says:

Got Mine!! Thanks!! My erasers were priced at 2.01.

  39. Rina says:

Stupid question: Is everything in the P&G saver by P&G, and if so, does that mean they all count toward $10 minimum?

    • Rebecca says:

Everything in the P&G booklet is a P&G item, however only certain items count toward the $10 minimum per the ad for walgreens. If you look at the walgreens ad it states of “participating products shown below”

      • Rina says:

Thanks! Haven’t seen the ad yet! Wish I could get my hands on some more coupons!! :)

      • Rebecca says:

Walgreens post their ad online too! So if you don’t have a paper one then you can go online and look at your local ad.

  40. jess says:

    $10 before coupons!

  41. Jan says:

I just called my local Walgreens and was told I would not get the RR if coupons were used to bring your total down. You have to pay the amount that is listed in order to receive the register rewards.

    • Rebecca says:

call corporate. There is no reason for you not to get your register reward, expecially when it states in THEIR ads that you can get a register reward and use a coupon (look at the back page this week at the ProGlide Razor deal) they are telling you to do both!!

    • Laura says:

You spoke to someone who doesn’t know what they are talking about. A few weeks ago I did the splenda deal, I paid tax and got 3.00 in RR for my next purchase, with no problems.

      • Amy says:

its $10 before coupons…the cashier has nothing to do w/ the register rewards…the catalina machine prints them out after you pay. i did several transactions on sunday w/ coupons and still got my register rewards. i am looking into doing this one but unfortunately, my newspaper doesn’t include the P&G coupons, we get them in the mail – obviously means, I only have one set of coupons. My mom is mailing me some from PA but she only gets hers in the mail too! guess it all depends where you live! it took me a few days to get them too – everyone else had theirs and I got mine a few days later b/c of the mail.

    • Sanya says:

      Hey Jan,
I just did the deal at Walgreens. I used all the coupons KCL suggested + $3RR and i still got back my Register Rewards afterwards! Just go ahead…some of these cashiers go off opinion rather than facts. :D

  42. sunshine says:

My walgreens has these for 2.24 not 1.99 :( still a good deal though

    • Sarah says:

Mine had them for the strong ones 2.61 and the normal for 2.01. Still not a bad deal since my boyfriend loves them!

    • Leigh says:

Mine, too. It’s still a good deal, though. I have the four $1.50 coupons for the magic erasers and I plan to get a Febreze air effects and use the $1 off coupon that was in the paper on 5/1. My total will be $4.42 and I have a $2 RR right now, so I’ll pay $2.42 OOP and get a $3 RR back.

  43. Kelly Rupert says:

The $1.00 off set and refresh is in the P & G coupon insert with the special olympics on the cover from 5/1.

  44. KAty says:

DOes the spend $10 mean before or after coupons?

  45. Jan says:

I am able to locate the $.50 off coupon, however, I am unable to locate the $1.00 off Febreze set & refesh.. Am I looking in the wrong place?

    • Bobbi Jo Grino says:

The $1 coupon is in a home mailer that you had to sign up for. Then they send you coupon booklets in the mail.

  46. Jan says:

I am able to locate the $.50 off coupon, however, I am unable to locate the $1.00 off on Febreze set and refresh. Am I looking in the wrong place??

    • KAty says:

I could only find the 50 cents also

    • Rebecca says:

The $1/1 Febreeze item is stated that it is found in the Organize in Style booklet, or the Brandsaver coupon saver from P&G. both of these are mailed to your home from P&G and have to be requested. The $.50/1 Febreeze is what was found in this past weekends insert in the papers on 5/1

  47. Stacy says:

I’m planning on getting Dawn Dish Liquid instead of Fabreeze. Do you know if $10 is before or after Walgreens coupons? Also, how do I confirm that this deal is available in my area? I don’t see it in their ad. Thanks :)
