Join Walgreens for a SaturDate with Beauty, 6/11 from 10 am – 5 pm.  Walgreens will be passing out coupons to go along with the buy one get one 50% off Old Spice Fresh Collection and Olay Body Collections.  I’m hearing rumors that the coupons will be $1.00 off 2 Old Spice and a $1.00 off 2 Olay.  If you have the Buy One Old Spice Deodorant Get One Body Wash Free coupon, you will get a better deal.

Update:  I went and did this deal and this is how the cashier rang me up.  Your cashier could ring you up differently.  I’ve also taken off the $1.00/2 coupon because I found out it is a manufacturer and not a store coupon like I thought.

I gave my customers a much better deal. They got two Oil of Olay purchases for $2.49

BOUGHT 3 DEOS AND 3 BODYWASHES: used 3 B1 deo G1 bodywash free coupons and 3 $1/2 coupons plus the cashier gave me 2 $1.00 coupons she had there, so I ended up paying 3.97 out of pocket…SO THAT’S $0.61 EACH FOR 6!!! And it’s my hubby’s favorite :) Great deal if you can get there before 5 today!

This deal didn’t work out for me. I had B1 deo G1 bodywash free and $1/2 MQ. The bodywash was $2.50 because it was already 50% off, so the cashier entered the free bodywash coupon as only $2.50 (the remaining balance on the bodywash to get it for free). So I paid $4.79 for both. The prices were higher too. $4.99 for bodywash and $5.79 for deo.

After reading Walgreen’s updated policy, I see this was the correct way, but I guess not every store is following the new policy?

      • Marla Green says:

This cashier was a couponer too…I even asked if that was right because it was lower than I expected :) LOL
I’m sorry it didn’t work for you :(

Update: I went back to the store and asked if my order was rung up correctly. Another cashier was there and said the coupon should have been for $4.99. So I ended up getting 1 bodywash and 1 deo for $2.29! That’s $1.15 each. At that price I then did 4 more deals.

    • Marla Green says:

And the cashier was psyched that I bought those because she said she was suposed to sell some of those for the Saturdate promotion….I guess the managemtn set a goal on that product today with the Saturdate

  4. Megan Thompson says:

I just got back from Wags and was psyched with the deal. I had 3 bogo from last weeks P&G, so I got 3 body washes and 3 deodorants. Then the cashier stacked them with the 3 $1/1 that they gave out today. I also got 3 m&m’s for overage. Used my $5 RR from the finese and $2RR that I got from Bic making my total OOP $0.02.!!!! A $31.11 savings! Woohoo! My husband loves this stuff so it was a stock up score for us!

I did the old spice deal at Rite Aid. Spend $30 on the products you get 10up+
4 Old Spice Deodorants on sale for 2/$7
4 old Spice body washes on sale for 2/$7
2 gillete deodorants on sale for 2/$7
    Total before coupons= $35
Used 2 buy 2 get $1 off on Old Spice deodorant from 6/5 subtract $2
Used 4 buy 1 deodorant get free body wash from 6/5 subtract $14
Use 1 buy 2 get $1 off on gillete from 6/5 subtract $1
    New Total $18
Now this is where I used a $3 off $15total coupon from rite aid survey making my new total $15 oop and a 10up+printed making my final cost .66 an item.
Pay $18 oop and a 10up+ reward prints and you paid .80 an item
This is a limit 1 deal.

    At Walgreens I did this
4 gillette body washes at $4.49 each
    1 proglide razor $9.89
    1 shave prep $3.5
    Total $31.35
Used 2 b1g1 coupons on gillette body wash from 6/5 subtract 8.98
    Used 1 $4 off 1 razor coupon from 6/5 subtract $4
    Used 1 $1 off 1 shave prep from 6/5 subtract $1
    New Total 17.37
Had a 10RR print for spending $30 in gillette products and a 5RR for purchasing the proglide razor! Like paying $2.37 for all the products making them .39 a product.
This deal alldepends on what your Walgreens has the gillette products priced at so that you can figure out what you need to get to spend $30 and what coupons you can use to optimize your savings. I had to do a little different deal while visiting a different store in other county on my way home the other day and I ended up paying less because thier body washes were priced higher so I didn’t have to purchase the shave prep to make it $30.

The buy the deodorant get the body wash coupon has been a little difficult to use because the coupon states of equal or lesser value and the deodorant is cheaper than the body wash. Best luck I had was a cashier offering that if I buy the body wash I could get the deodorant free.

    • Anonymous says:

At my store the body wash was $4.49 and the deodorant was $4.99. So the coupon worked for me.

i have a $1/2 from the P&G and B1G1 from the P&G can I use both? and how, i’m so confused.

    • Sandienana6 says:

I went to my local Kroger’s and they had the Old Spice deodorant on sale for $2.29, so I used the $1/2 and they B1G1, paying only $1.29 for both items. You can use the $1/2 because you are buying 2 items-you are just getting one of them for free. It was a great deal

    • Anonymous says:

No you would not be able to use both since your $1.00/2 is for both items. If you did use both that would be using two manufacturers on one item. What you can do though is go into the store tomorrow between 10am and 5pm and they should hand out store coupons that you can stack with your manufacturer coupon.

  12. Jebrown3 says:

I did this today and bought 4 deodorants and 4 body washes. With the BOGO and my $1 off coupon in addition to them being B1G1 half off I ended up paying $1 for each!

Just wanted to let everybody know I updated the post. I went to Walgreens to try the deal and it came out differently then I first thought. My cashier rang it up taking 50% off of the Body Wash AND the full amount of the Body Wash. So this way was not as cheap as I first posted but only $0.12 more. Also if you go tomorrow between 10 am and 5 pm, they should be handing out coupons to make the deal even better.

  15. Kellyscoupons1978 says:

In our papers, (midwest) we had a coupon for B1G1 Free on the Old Spice. So, I used that with thier B1G1/50 and the manager at Wags ok’d it. It was buy 1 deoderant and get the Bodywash free, but you can mix n match the Old Spice items.

I am not getting how the math brings you to $1.25 each. The B1G1 Free coupon will take the freebie as the 1/2 off product…not the more expensive so its really not that much of a deal.

When you have a B1G1 50% off store promo and you use a B1G1 free coupon this is how it works.

You are buying the deodorant for $4.99 at 50% off and using the B1G1 free coupon to get the body wash free. Your total now for both items is $2.50. Divide that by 2 and you get $1.25!

    • Cinray23 says:

I’m new to this, so I’m not sure if I can do it this way or not, but I am assuming, they way it is written, I can. I am planning on buying 6 deo, and get 6 washes, which is 12 total items.
      3 deo at full price= 14.97
      3 at 1/2 price= 7.50
      total=22.47
Use 6 B1deo get Body wash free
Use 6 $1/2 Old Spice Products (I have 12 total items with the free body wash-this is what I am not sure of!) takes $6.00 off
Total cost for the 12 items=16.47
      Total for each item= 1.37

That’s how I think it is supposed to be done. I noticed you have asked several times and have gotten no response, so I thought I would try to give you my best guess. If anyone knows that I can’t do this, let me know, pls!

      • Brandy says:

I’m pretty sure you can’t use 2 mc per item. So you total for each item would be $1.99. I can’t figure out how KCL is coming up with $1.25 per item either.

        • Brandy says:

This is what I have come up with. Please tell me whether or not it’s correct.

          Deot. $4.99
          Body wash+$2.50 after Walgreens B1G1 1/2off.
          MC -$2.50 B1G1 free
          MC -$1.00 $1/2
Total $3.99 for both or $1.99 per item.

        • Cinray23 says:

From her last post, it sounds like you should get the full price item for free, and the 50% off item is what you will have to pay for, making it $2.50 for both, but I don’t know what would stop them from making you get the 1/2 price item for free, except that it is the one of “equal or greater value” BEFORE the coupon.

      • Jennimbaker says:

You cannot stack mcs. You may only stack one store and one mc. Aside from that kind of stacking you are only allowed to use 1 coupon per item bought. I reccomend checking out their coupon policy on this website or on WAGs site. Be prepared to possibly spend more than you planned. I went on Wednesday and this is how my trip went:

Bought 4 16 oz Old Spice Body Washes @ $4.99 each
Bought 4 2.6 oz Old Spice Deoderants @ 5.49 each

Was only able to use 3 of the B1G1 coupons, 2 of the buy 2 get $1 coupons, and 1 RR from a previous transaction. It only let me use 6 coupons total for 8 items. Makes no sense to me…. Also, the 50% off from the sale came off of 2 body washes and 2 deoderants which I was not expecting since the sales usually take off the cheapest item. My B1G1 coupons took off 2 body washes and 1 deoderant when it was supposed to be the body washes that were free. Maybe my WAG is messed up, idk. I ended up spending $11.15 after tax which was not as low as I expected but still a great deal!

You would not be able to use that many B1G1 Free coupons in the same transaction. There is a limit of 4 like coupons for this particular coupon. Also, if that $1.00/2 coupon is a manufacturer, you would not be able to stack it with the B1G1 free coupon. You are only allowed 1 manufacturer per item and since the $1.00/2 is attaced to both items, using both coupons you would be using 2 manufacturers on 1 item. Does this make sense? If you go into the store tomorrow between 10am and 5 pm, they should be handing out store coupons that can be stacked with the B1G1 free coupon. I will show you an example scenario using 4 B1G1 free coupon and using 4 $1.00/2 store coupons.

        Buy 4 deodorant, $4.99
        Buy 4 body wash $4.49 ($2.25 after 50% off)
        B1G1 50% off
Use 4 Buy one deo get one body wash free (should take off full amount of body wash at $4.49)
Use 4 $1.00/2 Old spice products Walgreens coupon
Final Price: $0.88 each when you buy 8 items

        Hope this helps…Good luck :)

        • Anonymous says:

I just found out the $1.00/2 coupon is not a store coupon and is a manufacturer. So this is how your scenario will go now.

          Buy 4 deodorant, $4.99
          Buy 4 body wash $4.49 ($2.25 after 50% off)
          B1G1 50% off
Use 4 Buy one deo get one body wash free (should take off full amount of body wash at $4.49)
Final Price: $1.38 each when you buy 8 items

  19. smcgrew32 says:

i have both coupons can someone explain how to use them?

  20. Algava says:

Ok, can somebody explain to me how can you buy a travel size deodorant and get a body wash free, or buy a deodorant for $1.88 than it clearly states on the coupon -”of equal or lesser value” ??? I don’t believe that buying a smaller size deodorant you can get a normal size body wash? Am I missing something here?

    • Lisa Wood says:

I would like to know this as well. Any info on it would help greatly.

    • Pookwashere says:

Sorry, I am no longer in possession of the Old Spice B1G1 coupon anymore, so I can’t really speak of the fine print. I’ll admit I just looked quickly and saw no minimum size requirement, and went for it. I actually had 2 coupons, and did this twice on separate days at separate trips to Target, and no cashier even batted an eyelash, so I guess it was fine. I’m not trying to scam the stores, and I do try to use my coupons correctly. That said, with how confusing the fine print is sometimes, we all make mistakes.

    • April7575 says:

I no longer have the coupons but I purchased 3 of the 2 oz old spice deoderants which are $1.88 at my Wal Mart. These are not travel sized. I also bought 3 body washes. The coupons I used:

3 $1 off of 2 Old Spice Products
3 Buy one Deoderant get 1 Body Wash Free

Other than the traditional “excludes trial size” and “up to 5.99″ on the body wash, there were no restrictions. Since I did not purchase trial size Deoderant and the body wash was $3.67 each I was within the guidelines as stated by the coupons.

    • April7575 says:

I wished I had another coupon so I could look at it. I honestly don’t recall my coupon saying “of equal or lesser value” and my cashier read it closely as well. The register actually was trying to give $5.99 off for each coupon and she had to manually enter the actual price Wal Mart was selling them for. If it did say that, then I feel like a real idiot, because I try very hard to follow all the rules of couponing. Definitely a lesson for me to read the fine print closely.

      • Algava says:

We all know that some coupon are regional, so maybe yours didn’t have the “of equal or lesser value”. Don’t get me wrong, I liked your deal. Though maybe I’m not understanding the coupon world yet. Wish could do the same but not going to happen :)

  22. I had to call walgreens corporate about this very occurrence. They told me that the $30 was after coupon value. Since the coupons reduced the value below $30 the $10 wouldn’t print. The manager changed her mind and ran the phantom transaction afterall. I kept explaining that the $5 was overriding the $10. The manager rang up the shaver on the phantom (with no coupons, over $30) and only the $5 printed out. Ahha! It wasn’t the coupons.

“like” coupons basically means “4 of the SAME coupon”. So if you have 4 coupons that are $1 off 1 old spice body wash and 4 bogo coupons, you’d be fine. :)

  26. Melinda says:

I usually enjoy shopping at Walgreens, but my last trip was awful. I prepared everything for the Gillette deal (purchase $30 get $10 RR back) I purchased 1 razor, 2 body washes and 2 deodorants. Used the coupons, and at the end of the transaction only a $5 RR printed from the razor purchased. I asked the cashier about the $10 RR for spending $30 on the Gillette products, and he said I was not eligible because I did not spend $30 AFTER coupons. I asked to speak to a manager and the manager told me the razor were NOT included in the $30 Gillette offer. I asked him why there was a picture of the exact razor in their store ad for the offer then, and he just shook his head, shrugged his shoulders and walked away. I was so offended and humiliated. The cashier looked at me like I was a thief or something!! He asked me if I wanted to return the products (AFTER he wrote on some of the coupons already) I said no and immediately returned to my car and called Walgreens corp office. I am still waiting on a call back.

    • Melinda says:

Just heard back from the manager, he apologized for the inconvenience and offered me a $10 gift card. Glad that good customer service at Walgreens is not dead! Apparently Walgreens received an e-mail from catalina saying that the razor was now off of the $10 RR due to overlapping RR. However, Walgreens did not put anything up or state anything to their customers letting them know that. FYI anyone still going in for that deal, the razor is not included.

Does anything think we can still call Corp. to see if they will send us a $10 card is the $10RR didn’t print? Ditto happened to me as described above…curious if it’s worth my time to call…anyone?

        • Eiddy says:

I love using coupons too but if its not part of the deal why call I looked at the ad & it is true it advertises the gillete on one page & the proglide razors on another.this is plain greedy.Everyone is always trying to get something free & it gives us who follow the rules of couponing a bad name. They are 2 seperate deals on 2 seperate pages!

    • Rachel says:

This same thing happened to me yesterday and I spoke to my manager about it and she gratefully printed me out a $10 RR. I was ready and willing to fight!!!

    • Moritzky says:

Same thing happened to me! I was able to speak to someone at corporate who told me that it had to be $30 AFTER coupons…..I told them that next time that should be stated in the ad! So frustrating.

      • bre says:

well you are not alone this happened to customers all week. the register rewards have so many rules it is insane. i think rules are stated on the register reward printed out. yes it is after coupons and tax unfortunately

    • Enalyn says:

      sorry to hear that Melinda.
I also encountered the same thing but the cashier told me that the Gillette Razor is not a participating product under that “buy $30 get $10 RR).If you noticed the photo that the Gillette Razor is with the bag and other shaving stuff. Meaning you need to purchase the Shaving Kit,not just a Razor itself…
.At that time they even don’t have Body Wash available but I decided to get 8 Gillette Deodorants to cover the $30 to get $10 RR using the B1G1 coupon(I use 4coupons)

    • Vanessakirby938 says:

The problem was that the razors were not supposed to be included in that $30 total. Corporate sent an email out that it was a mis print in the ad. So the purchase of the razor didn’t count towards the $30. I had this same thing happen at the walgreens my mom works at and the manager gave me the email.

      • Walgreenwoman says:

thanks for the heads up. I am the senior beauty advisor at Walgreens’s and off today. The catalina coupon printed out a $10 and a $5 the other day. I guess my customers really got a good deal. Will watch for it tomorrow. By the way, tomorrow is Saturdate and that is a good day for savings. Not only is Old Spice and Oil of Olay on sale; but I have extra coupons for my customers. Stop by your cosmetics department and talk to your beauty advisor. They should be prepared to save you TONS of money with extra coupons.

    • Elenagutierrez909 says:

I work at walgreens the razors pictured in the deal are not the razors that are sold seperately they are the ones that come in a gift set. It’s the gift set that is pictured in the ad.It’s a $14.00 gift set with a worth of $27.

      • Marita says:

If you look on the back of the ad it advertises the razor deal. The proglide they are 2 seperate deals.

    • Walgreenwoman says:

It was a mistake that was caught and fixe by Friday from corporate. The picture of the razor is to show that it comes in the Gillette gift set. That is why you only got the reward for the razor. You could not count that as a purchase toward your #$30.
My manager was also able to “override” it and get the register rewards for the customers who wanted that because of the misunderstanding. The cashiers should not treat you like that. They should fix the problem.

They are having a coupon at the store satudate. That you can use with yous

  28. Melisa says:

I got to know about couponsavingsoftware, they say it’s a complete package to organize coupons for extreme couponing. I went through their site just for fun. But I found it really interesting. I mean, I compared it to Excel & Coupon Binder, but honestly it is much better than anything.
I found it in google as couponsavingsoftware.

  30. Mistybowles Hernandez says:

I tried to do that last week and they stated they would only take off the free one from the one that is 50% off. So its like it isn’t even on sale because that is the same as just using the coupon.

    • Natashasparkman says:

same thing happened to me, the lady would not listen to my reasoning so I said I would just take my coupons elsewhere.

  32. April7575 says:

I used my coupons at Wal Mart. Bought 3 of the 1.88 deoderants and 3 body wash. Used 3/$1 off 2 old spice coupons and 3 bogo coupons. Paid $2.64 + tax on 3 deoderants and 3 body washes.

    • Moneysavinggal says:

Can you tell me where you got your $1 MQ’s at? I have some but it’s $1/2 not $1/1. Thanks.

      • Moneysavinggal says:

Disregard my question. I read your post again and realize you were using the $1/2 MQ .. then I realized that the MQ was off of 2 Old Spice “products” not “deodorants” as I had originally thought. Sorry .. I’m still learning. lol

    • LaTashia says:

I’m going as soon as I get off and try this to see if it works! Will let you all know when I get home with my haul :D thanks!! <3

  33. Lauren says:

This coupon doesn’t end in “14,” so could we combine it with the $1/2 Old Spice products from the same insert?

      • Biblerder says:

I went to walgreens and bought $30 worth of Gilette products and used several coupons bringing my total under $30. and my $10 RR still printed out.

        • walgreensgurl says:

i work at walgreens. this happened to several customers all week. it is a pain in the rearend. but the computer sees it as you having to spend $30 post tax and coupons. so if you have $16 in coupons and savings you better have at least spend $47 in gilette products. i do not understand why but it is rigged.

          • Walgreenwoman says:

I alsso work at Walgreens and it always takes before the coupons as the total, so you can use your coupons and still get the register reward. Has worked that way for years.

    • Rebecca says:

You can not combine a $/2 coupon with a BOGO on two items. You would need to purchase 3 items to use both of these coupons.
You can combine a $/1 coupon with a BOGO coupon (if the BOGO doesn’t attach to both).

    • Jen says:

I did this at walgreens with the BOGO coupon and the $1/2 I just had to use a filler item

    • Candy says:

I used both coupons at Rite Aid and they were fine with it. Because the bogo coupon is really a coupon for the body wash, you can still use the $1/2 coupon if you buy 2 deodorants and 2 body washes, because you’re using it on the deodorant, not the body wash. Hopefully that made sense…

  34. Pookwashere says:

My brother uses Old Spice body wash, but not the deodorant. The coupon doesn’t have a minimum size limit for the deodorant, so I bought a $0.97 trial size Old Spice “Swagger” deodorant at Target and got the body wash for free (putting the trial size deodorant in my donate pile). So, that was a better deal for me. Obviously, if you have some use for a larger deodorant it isn’t as great a deal. But, if you are looking for a steal on body wash… :D

    • Christina says:

The coupon specifies that if you Buy 1 deodorant get 1 Body wash free(of equal or lesser value)So actually if your cashier was paying attention you would not have been able to get this deal. Thats actually fraud even though you may not have read that.

  35. My store already has this deal available. I did this same scenerio on Monday. I also added the $1 off coupons of the deodorants. Only had two, but that was $2 extra I used.
