I actually got this fee with the $3 BAYER coupon from last week i think… plus $1 register reward

  2. Lorildyer says:

Publix has $2 coupon for Bayer Advanced in their coupon flyer at the store. Combine that coupon with the $1.50 Manufacturer coupon. Not sure of the price in Publix but I’m going to try.

  3. Angela says:

In case anyone is looking for an alternative store Harris Teeter is offering 2 Bayer Advanced for $1.99 each to e-Vic customers. So with the $2 coupons they’re free.

  4. Lulalala says:

This Bayer is free and 51 cents money maker at Publix (south florida). There is a 2$ off coupon from publix (green circular that expires June 24) and if you use the manufacturer’s coupon of $2 it is FREE!!!!

Ok so you receive your register rewards at the register but can’t use them on the current transaction right? You have to wait until next transaction? I don’t shop at drugstores, I do a heckuva job couponing at grocery stores. Never wanted to try an dfigure it out.

    • Angela says:

Yes, at all three major drug stores (CVS, Rite Aid, Walgreens), you use your rewards at a future transaction (which can be seconds after your last transaction). However at Walgreens there’s an extra step: You have to ensure that you do not use a register reward on the same item that you received it for. If you do, you do not receive a second register reward. This is different from CVS and Rite Aid, which both have card membership programs that track your purchases and cut you off when you reach the offer limit (e.g. Limit 2 per customer). If you do different transactions for each of the 2 at CVS/Rite Aid (which you wouldn’t have to do for Rite Aid/CVS but would for Walgreens because they’re always a limit of 1 offer per transaction), you can use the reward from the first transaction on the second. But not at Walgreens.

Drug stores have unnecessarily complicated rules but are a good place to get ridiculously cheap personal care items and medicine once you learn them. I almost never buy those items at grocery stores because I can never seem to duplicate the same savings (90%+).

About a week ago, Publix had the 20 or 24 count Bayer Advanced for $2.99. They then had a store coupon for $2 off. I had a printable coupon for $1.50 off so I actually made 51 cents on this item. Got two by the way which made me $1.02. I was so proud of myself. I am just starting to really learn how to coupon so I got really excited.

  7. J3452c says:

Wahoo! I paid $.06 for the Bayer. We were given a $2 off coupon.

While I can appreciate RR deals, weekly deals and purchasing multiple weekly newspapers I have found that this strategy simply does not work for me. I am of the mind set that I do not intend to spend money to make money. I forego weekly deals for better overall deals that sustain my family for longer periods of time that are purchased within a single monthly trip. I have done the truly extreme couponing and picked up every weekly deal I could every week however I was spending money to make money by setting out on unnecessary shopping trips that wasted my time when the item was cleared off the shelves by others and gas that is a precious commodity these days. There is a high associated with getting something for free or “free” but I have gone past all of that and back to reality. The reality being that a 24 count of Aspirin at $0.02 a piece after coupon and RR deal is not that great a price. I opt to purchase the 500 count of Aspirin from Sam’s for $3.89 that comes out to be $.007 cents a piece without a coupon. The 500 count will sustain my family indefinitely. We all have to find our own strategy in life so if couponing in the extreme doesn’t work for you do what does work for you and don’t fault yourself for it. I am much happier now that I am not in a constant coupon/deal search mode. I now have time to read a book or just sit outside. I still shop sales but only shop once a month and only use print coupons or ones I get for free. By doing this I still only spend $200 a month or less on groceries, toiletries, dog food etc and my family is also gluten free. I spend less on gas and am relieved from the stress and headache of weekly shopping. I have learned a lot in my journey from going old school to washing foil and zip bags to diluting detergent to make it last longer. There are always ways to save money but you have to live life too.

here in tn. we have it on sale at kroger for $2.99 and we had a $2.00 of in our ad so you pay $0.99 it is $0.50 more but at walgreens you are only allowed 1 RR so for me it is a better way to go

  11. CCConnelly says:

My Walgreens was out, but promised to have them in the next day. Because the shipment did not deliver them they gave me the same deal for the 40 count bottles! (Score!!) To top that off, the RR didn’t print, so they marked the cost down to $2 a bottle and all I paid was tax! I am a newbie couponer and I am LOVIN IT!!!!

  12. DebraSue says:

Every Walgreens in our towns is wiped out of this, CVS too,I ended up getting it at Kroger, was $2.99, after my $2 off makes it .99, good enough for me!

So, First and Foremost…I have to give a huge Thank you and shout to the the cashier at a new CVS that I visited. I still get confused with CVS carebucks thingy, but she was AMAZING! I thought that I was already getting a good deal on everything, and I’m the kind of person that doesn’t often break my things into separate purchases. She looked at me, my coupons, and what I had…and said, “Would you like me to do separate transactions to get the most out of your deals?” I was like huh…yes please! She smiled away, and started. She saved me a lot more than what I thought I was going to spend! WOOT WOOT! Anyway, CVS has these Bayer products on sale for $3! Minus my $2 coupon PLUS $1 extra carebuck = FREE! This is actually a money maker (I think) because I’ll be sending in my rebate :-) *Sits back and smiles* Yay me lol

I went to CVS today and she said that the extra bucks are given once a month??? I thought you get it right away?

    • Princessamie83 says:

unless they have changed something within one week, thats not the case. You need to speak to a manager. I have been on vacation so unless something has changed since Friday last week, I got extra bucks back last week.

I got the same thing Josh Collins did on the Bayer Advance:
In FL, I got the $2 off Q in the paper Sunday, along with $2 off Publix coupon (this Q came a few weeks ago). It was orig. $3.49 at Publix, – $4 Q = Free!

  39. Sara says:

I got $2/1 coupon in my newspaper too, but when I stopped by Walgreens around 12:30 pm, they were out. Manager said that she had only 6 bottles on the shelf earlier and she didn’t know why they didn’t get them with the last shipment. Seems like this is the norm for my local store :-(

I have some questions… I have 2 coupons for $2 off and 2 coupons for $1.50 off.. Its on sale for $3.. how do I get this item FREE???

    • Brittaneyj08_qh says:

you might as well use the two $1.50 off coupons since a lot of the stores dont pay you to take the item out…so they’ll just mark the coupon down to $1.50 anyways..

  49. Josh Collins says:

Here in Central FL, I used the $2 off coupon from the paper, plus a $2 off PUBLIX coupon and it is actually a .51 cent MONEYMAKER!! (Of course, it’s one per person) I paid .27 cents for 4 boxes of Ronzoni quick cook pasta and a bottle of Bayer Advanced Extra Strength!!!

  50. Calikid00096 says:

Can someone explain this to me please? My walgreens has right guard body wash on sale b1g1 and I have several b1g1 coupons. I have seen on tv that they use the coupon and get both items for free is that the case or do I get three for the price of one?

    • Brittaneyj08_qh says:

Check the coupon policy 1st, the store may not allow you to use a b1g1 coupon since the product is already b1g1. I work at rite aid & they used to allow it (making it more like b1g2) & now they just recently changed the policy.

If you get overage on your all your items after coupons, can I put my overage on a gift card? Because they basically owe me money so I should be able to put the overage on a gift card….Right?

    • angel says:

Walgreens does not give overage. If your coupon goes above the price of said item, the cashier is supposed to lower the coupon. The only way anything can be a “money maker” at Walgreens is if you get a RR after you buy it. Read the coupon policy.

    ***WARNING****

This coupon prints on the bottom of the page. Learned the hard way, used a half sheet of scratch paper and didn’t get the coupon :(

    • angel says:

It also prints out a huge purple add BEFORE the coupon. Nice waste of ink. I have no idea why some coupon print out with an add…. If I bothered to print the coupon, I don’t need to be convinced to buy it with an add!

Watch the rebate forms, it only pays what you paid AFTER the $2.00 coupon. So it’s not a full $3.00 rebate.

When there was a coupon in the Walgreen’s weekly circular awhile ago, it said that it was $2 off any Bayer Advanced Aspirin. I got a rain check for that coupon, and now I have a $1.75 off coupon(printable) and if I use the rain check and the coupon, then it will be a $0.75 MM!!!! I’m also wondering if you can put your overage on a gift card?

    • Josh says:

Actually Trevor if my math is correct it looks like it’s a $1.75 moneymaker….On sale right now for $3 – your $2 off raincheck coupon – $1 register reward – $1.75 printable coupon.

    • Banditlover55 says:

No money from coupons on gift cards where I live, in fact they decrease the amount of the coupon so you do not make any overage. Let me know how you make out. banditlover55@yahoo.com
