Great deal on CoverGirl beauty tools at Family Dollar

I went to my local Kroger, Family Dollar and Dollar General store yesterday to look around for some clearance deals on pool items for next year. While I was at Family Dollar I walked past the makeup section and they had CoverGirl Queen Collection Compact slant point tweezers for only 1.00 and they had packages of salon boards for 1.50. I quickly looked through my coupon book and found coupons for 2.50 off of any two Covergirl items.
At Dollar General I got the Wisk detergent and at my Local Kroger they had a huge display of Maybeline mascara all marked down as Managers Specials for 1.39 each. I also found a Off Clip On on clearance for 2.88.This is what I got.
Family Dollar
All items were the Queen Collection Line
2 pumice stones
2 toenail clippers
2 fingernail clippers
2 pkgs of salon boards
Total: 10.00
oop: All Free! plus tax.
Im not sure how much the tax was on these items because my DH had to have a jar of peanuts that I put on the same bill without a coupon. I dont want to count that one.

Are you looking for a way for you and your family to enjoy a museum day without it costing a fortune? In addition to the many museums that offer free admission 365 days a year, Bank of America/Merrill Lynch is offering its credit and debit cardholders free museum days at scores of museums around the United States.
Fall dates for this promotion are September 3 and 4 and October 1 and 2. Each cardholder qualifies for one free admission, so if you and your spouse both have a card, you’ll save on two adult admissions. Not a bad deal. You must show your card and a photo ID at the ticket window.
The 150 museums included in the Bank of America/Merrill Lynch promotion include:

Second trip out was a 75% savings at Walgreens and a 68% savings at Wal Mart!!! Will post pics of our small stockpile soon.

There was a $3.00 of coupon any any Vicks products so = FREE!! Theraflu was discounted to 1.09 org priced at $3! There was a 1.00 off coupon so I paid only .9 cents for each plus tax!! I have to say this was a lucky find!
