  1. i tried clicking the skintimate shave gel link but it does not bring me to the coupon, is it no longer available?

The only dove coupon that I could find was $.75/1 Dove.

Im a little bit confused on how the register rewarsd/ cvs bucks, etc work. I know in wallgreens when I use the rewards on a deal, it doesnt trigger another register rewards. Can I use previously earned CVS bucks on this deal? Or it wont trigger the extra bucks if i do?

    • Anonymous says:

Yes, you can. Walgreens only won’t trigger RR if you use the same RR to buy the same product. Ex: Buy Pack of gum receive $1.00 RR. You use that $1.00 to buy another pack of gum no RR will print but at CVS the ECB’s can be rolled into the next transaction. The only time a ECB won’t print is if you bought 2 of something and the limit is 1.

Has anyone found the Tide Powder for HE for this deal. I stopped at one CVS but they only had the regular Tide and Gain powder.

I just did this today and the cashier told me that they will not be letting me use my CVS extra bucks in another transaction the same day. She told me last time I do this.. Whatever!! Anyways I still did this bargain and I got all this stuff..oh I also didn’t have the hot 2/1 tide coupon. I used what I had on this PG 10-2
    4 tide detergents(TRANS 1)
    3 Puffs tissue(TRANS 1)
    3 Dawn soaps(TRANS 2)
    4 Dove shampoos(TRANS 2)
2 Dove men deodorants (2 came in the pack)(TRANS2)
    2 cases of water (TRANS3)
    for about $26.00
Thanks KCL and CVS oh and manufacturers who give out awesome coupons!!

That is awesome. I have no idea what your cashier was talking about. Why do the cashiers have to be so hard on couponers? If I was a cashier I would be reaping in all the benefits on finding out what deals are out there. You did an awesome job today.

Very disappointed in my CVS. They do not even carry any of the 31-40 load powdered Tide!

I had the same issue. No powdered tide for that price :(
      Monterey, CA

    • Sarah Hulsey says:

Ditto. I went to three CVs stores this morning and they only had 30 loads or 50 loads. Ironically the Rite Aid had a ton of 40 loads, but they weren’t on sale as they should have been per the ad that came out this week.

    • Anonymous says:

That would be very disappointing. Did you talk to the manager on doing a price adjustment on a similar item? CVS is pretty good on working with you on things like that.

If I want to do this deal twice, can I use the $10 RR from my first Tide transaction on my second time buying 5 and still get another $10 RR? Thanks in advance!

  12. Anonymous says:

FYI: Buying 4 Tides/Gains did not trigger the $10 reward for me. The total was a few cents shy so purchasing a box of tissues was necessary. No issues after that.

    • Anonymous says:

That is weird. I have no idea how it triggers different at other stores. It triggered for me. But still, adding the puffs still makes for a great deal.

  13. Andrea says:

Is “Spend $30.00, Receive $10.00 Extra Bucks,” before or after tax? I’ve never noticed b/c I’ve always had additional items!

KCL, I think Garnier is a good deal too.
    It’s 4 for $15
then we can use (5) $1 mq,
    So, pay $10
    and get 5ECBs.

My calculation might not be right.

    • Anonymous says:

Yes, it is a good deal. I did do that match on the coupon match up but not on this one as Dove is a better deal. But Garnier is still a great deal.

    • Anonymous says:

if its 4 for $15 why are you going to use 5 mq? or are u going to use 4 please tell me!! thank you so much in advance!!

      • Anonymous says:

Yes, you are absolutely right. You would use 4 coupons. lol. It was a late night, and I am too excited about the great deals this week.

        so, 4/$15 -4
        Pays $11, get $5 ECB.

        Total $6 for 4 garnier fructis= $1.50 each

I guess not that great of a deal because usually garnier comes down to $1.33 in the coupon match-ups.

        • Anonymous says:

I totally understand u I was up too I cant wait for the tide gain deal hopefully its not all gone before I get to the store.. :) What do u mean that garnier comes down to $1.33 in the coupon match ups?

  15. Anonymous says:

MY CVS ad shows the Gain/tide as $5.44
    Anyone else has that?

    • Anonymous says:

Yes, my region it is $5.44 but the ad scan says $5.97. So, if you’re in the $5.44 region buy 6 and it is an even better deal. I believe my calcuations were $1.77 each when you buy 6. Great deal.

  16. I’m not sure if you have put this anywhere yet, but with Covergirl being B1G1 50% off this upcoming week, you can get a great deal with the new coupon coming out – $8/2 covergirl face (foundation, blush, power, concealer, bronzer) deal.

    • I do have a question though, can you purchase other things to absorb the overage from the coupons? I think I have seen this happen with my purchases before, but I haven’t had many coupons that have created a “true” overage at CVS.

      • Anonymous says:

It depends. Sometimes it will beep but usually CVS adjusts the coupons down to purchase amount.

    • Anonymous says:

Yes, that is a great deal, However I did not match any covergirl makeup due to prices that vary by region and not knowing the prices that the make up will be starting Sunday but I do know that the coupons is a great coupon to have because I know it can be a moneymaker or free.

  17. Anonymous says:

I believe the folgers will be on sale for 6.99 minus the 1.00 10/2 coupon at 5.99. Is this a good price for the full size Folgers or have you guys gotten it cheaper? I haven’t been using coupons long enough to figure out my rock bottom price on coffee.

    • Anonymous says:

Yes, I think it is a good price for Coffee. Not a stock up price but a decent price to at least buy 1 or 2.

  18. Anonymous says:

For the Dove deal couldn’t you use the .75 printable coupon on any Dove hair care and buy a 5th shampoo or conditioner instead of the $1 Dove men+care to make each one .65 each? I plan to do that, but I’m just wondering if I can.

    • Anonymous says:

Yes, you can do that. Thanks for the great suggestion on how to use the $0.75 coupon.

      • tria galang says:

hey kcl! im planning to buy 6 dove and use 3 BOGO. I was wondering if i can use 3 $.75 on the other 3 doves? Coz this will make the dove $1.75 for 6.

For some reason, I received a $4 off 20 last Monday and Today I receive another $4 off 20. They are two different code #, two different expiration date. And I got the $2 from the CVS pledge.

    • Anonymous says:

If only I had 5 of the $2 tide coupons, lol, I gave them to my friend, and it might sound greedy, but I am going to ask her for a couple back. I gave her like 8 and she is not using them. lol

      • Anonymous says:

Hey, I would do the same thing. I have already asked a few of my fellow couponers if they had extras. I used all mine at Walgreens on Gain.

    • Anonymous says:

      That is great.

  20. Anonymous says:

I was asking myself the same question…

  21. Anonymous says:

Will the save $0.75 on your purchase of any one Edge shave gel or Skintimate shave gel manufacturer’s coupon work with the CVS coupon for $1.00/1 Skintimate Moisturizing Cream Shave. I know one says gel and the other says cream…

  22. Anonymous says:

Does CVS sell this size tide in powder?

    • Anonymous says:

They should, it is listed in their AD.

      • Anonymous says:

Found the Tide but it wasn’t part of sale, it rang up full price, so I bought gain. Also, I went to 2 different CVS stores and noticed that one store was selling a bigger box (40 load) for the same sale price. I didn’t know CVS had differences like that. Another thing, the first CVS had Suave 3/$/5, so I got 6 w/bogo coupons from today. The 2nd CVS did not have the same sale. Anyone else notice these differences at their store? Thanks KCL!

  23. I think the Tide/Gain deal has to be done in two separate trips, not transactions. P&G coupons say in the red lettering that you can only use 4 like coupons per shopping trip, not transaction. I also remember reading so here when Wal-Mart had the Febreeze Noticeable warmers on sale. Back to the Tide/Gain deal, is an inconvenience to have to do two trips but CVS card tracks all your spending (it’s printed on your receipt) and you’ll still get the EB once you reached the amount needed for the deal.

    • Anonymous says:

I believe that is what was meant. Most CVS’ will let you do more that one transactions back to back. Use 4 coupons the first transaction and 1 for the next transaction. It’s up to you whether you want to do them back to back or in separate trips, hope this helps!

    • Anonymous says:

Well, in that case you do the first transaction, leave and then have your husband or friend come in and do the next transaction. Tottally up to you but I feel as long as it is broken up in transactions you’re fine. CVS will still get reimbursed.

      • Anonymous says:

if u buy 5 tide/gain it would only be $29.85 dont u have to buy six cause dont it have to be $30 before taxes or am i wrong?

  24. Anonymous says:

i have a questions? can i use the $4 off $20 purchase and the $2 for signing up for not throwing away my extra bucks in one transaction? im kind of confuse since walgreens only lets you use same amount of coupons per same amount of items.

  25. Meghan says:

I believe the Tide and Gain Transaction #2 is incorrect. You technically could not obtain the total of $1.97 unless you used 5 of the 2.00/1 from PG. However, PG’s have a limit of 4 like coupons – just as it was stated in your transaction example.
So technically you would have to use 4 – $2.00/1 and 1 – $0.50/1 instead. Equaling a new true total of: $11.35 or $2.27 each.

  26. Anonymous says:

    I got it! Thanks

  27. Anonymous says:

from your post, the following should be done on different transactions and I doubt CVS giving out the 10.00 ESB cos it didn’t reach the 30.00 estimate.

    • Anonymous says:

You, should receive the ECB’s. I shop CVS daily. I always have people ask if it wil trigger the ECB’s and it will. Please trust me. If it doesn’t or some odd reason at your CVS purchase the puffs for $0.99 and then you will get your $10.00 ECB. Trust me, I am there everyday.

  28. Anonymous says:

I got a $4 off $20 purchase in my email, and the $2 for signing up for not throwing away my extra bucks to make the tide .77 a bottle!

my sunday inserts for tide etc are all having a target logo meaning it can only be used in target that is what I think. If am wrong, please will love to hear corrections. thanks

    • Anonymous says:

No, there will be manufacturer coupons for Tide this Sunday. However, the value is a lot smaller.

  30. Anonymous says:

Does CVS carry this size tide in powder? I found the gain, but not the tide when it was on sale about a week ago. Should I try a different CVS?

    • Anonymous says:

I would try a different CVS. They should have it as it is advertised but the Gain is a part of the deal so you could always purchase Gain.

I’m wondering about the Reach coupon. I printed it and it says “Redeemable at Walmart”. Does that mean it’s ONLY redeemable at Walmart? It’s a mfr qpn.

  35. my cvs doesn’t care about the per transaction thing bc they’re sending them all to the same place & they want to make it easier for them & the customer

    • Anonymous says:

They are not CVS coupons, they are manufacturer coupons. We need to honor what the manufacturer printed on the coupon which is limit 4 per transaction.

    • Anonymous says:

Yes, you should break them down in seperate transactions because it could affect CVS getting reibursed the coupon. Maybe the employees at your CVS are not fully aware of the reimbursement process of coupons. It is a manufacturer limit not a CVS limit.

  36. I haven’t couponed at CVS for a couple of months. Whats with the 4 like coupons thing?

  37. Anonymous says:

Question: if you purchase these in 2 different transactions, CVS keeps track of your purchases until you get to the $30?

How do I get more than one SS coupon since I’m only mailed one SS? Sorry, I’m new at this!

    • Try ordering them from a coupon clipping site, or ebay or trade or beg friends & neighbors for more lol. I have the same problem with RP & PG :(

      • We get our RP mailed to us through the week and it is not in the Sunday paper so I was always frustrated because I couldn’t buy multiple copies of the RP in our main newspaper (Cleveland Plain Dealer). Last week I thought for the first time to look in one of the other papers (Akron Paper) that was beside the main one in the store and it had both inserts and was $.50 cheaper!! I’m going to be buying that paper from now on!

        • Anonymous says:

I wish I could get the Akron newspaper, but I live too far away. Are their coupons different from the Plain Dealer’s?

          • The Plain Dealer only has SS and whatever other special insert (P&G) there is —- NO RP :( That comes on Thursday with other sale ads in the mail. Last week was the first time I looked in the Akron paper, but there was both the SS and RP. I’m assuming it is like that every week. I have seen the Akron paper all around the East Side of Cleveland.

            • Anonymous says:

I have a subscription to the Plain Dealer and get the Red Plum inserts – I get those on Tuesday or Wednesday. I haven’t seen the Akron paper & I live on the east side, in Willowick. I’ll have to pay more attention I guess. Where (what stores) have you see the Akron paper?

            • Yeah, it is the akron beacon journal and last week I just bought it at a gas station. I live in Mayfield. I’m pretty sure I have seen them in Giant Eagle too.

            • Anonymous says:

these coupons come in the sunday newspaper, so if you want more coupons you have to buy additional papers. I purchase my papers from Dollar tree or menards where I pay $1 for each newspaper with inserts.

    • Anonymous says:

I subscribe to the newspapers. If you call there are great rates available as low as $0.50 a paper sometimes. I recommend getting your paper delivered because you don’t have to get up to buy them and you never have to worry about coupon inserts missing. Also, you can order from Clipping Services such as the Crazy clippers.

    • Shopaholik! says:

I get all my inserts from a senior home/apartment. they don’t use coupons (or maybe some of them) they throw all the newspapers and all inserts in the recycle bin and my mom grabs them for me.
