Our walgreens has reynolds foil 20 sq on sale for $0.49

At my store the Olay cream cleanser is not in the buy one get one 50% sale. It says a price range starting at 22 something and up. I got mine on Sunday before they put out the tags so had no idea since the ad just says Olay regenerist, but my mom couldn’t get the deal. Just an FYI.

  3. FYI–I tried the Colgate toothpaste deal (Buy 2 for $5.00 and get $3 RR) yesterday and used 2 $0.75/1 Colgate Toothpaste, 4 oz. or larger, from SS 3/25 (exp 4/14). Not sure what went wrong, but instead of getting $3 RR, I got a $3 mq for fixodent…still had a great shopping trip.

  4. Anonymous says:

I tried to do the Garnier deal yesterday & the $5 rewards didn’t print. When they called over the manager he said it won’t work because it has to be $15 before the coupons. (I was only trying to use 2-$.75/1 coupons, cause that’s all I had ) :-(

  5. Anonymous says:

Is the peeps coupon for regular peeps? It seems like on the list it is just for the chocolate dipped ones or the peepsters (and in the picture) Has anyone used it at Walgreens for the regular peeps?

  6. Anonymous says:

Not sure if anyone did this yet- They have the filled plastic Easter eggs (M&Ms etc) for 4/$3 could we use two $1 off any 2 Mars easter Candy No size restrictions (on the M&M’s) pay 1? I think this would work ( has anyone had problems with the coupon beeping at Walgreens?).

  7. Jackie says:

Hi — N00b Couponer here and I have a question.  I usually shop at CVS and I felt I can start expanding my horizon.  :)

I just returned from Walgreens.  It was my first time shopping at that store.  I purchased a Maxwell House Coffee for $8.99, using a $1.00 coupon.  However, I didn’t get the $1.00 RR because the cashier said I used a coupon.  I wasn’t familiar with the coupon policy at Walgreens so I just left it at that.

Was the cashier correct?  Or was I supposed to get the $1 RR back?  I must admit, I was disappointed. :(   I was planning to do a subsequent transaction and purchase a few Dawn soap (and stack them with coupons) but I just made it all in one transaction instead.

    Thanks.

    • Jackie says:

After reading comments below and how others are facing the same problem, I’m thinking that this morning might be the last time I go to Walgreens until this confusion clears up.  So sad.  Guess I’ll concentrate on Rite-Aid instead…

      • Anonymous says:

You should have received a RR; however, we are receiving reports that there are some deals that do not print RR when a coupon is used (and there is no way to tell until the deal is tried).  Stick with it; it gets easier, I promise!

  8. Lauren says:

This would be the deal on head and shoulders if they are buy 1 get 1 50% off! Its not counted in the one above!
Head & Shoulders Shampoo, 14.2 oz. $5.99 Buy 1 get one 50% off in store deal, Use B1G1 Free Head & Shoulders from PG 4/1 (exp 4/30) Final Price: about $1.49 each when you buy 2!

My Walgreens had an awesome display of Goody hair items for $1 each near the photo lab.  fyi

  10. Anonymous says:

Help please. I did 3 transactions of the 2 for $5 and get 3RR Colgate giving me a total of 9RR. I went back today to take advantage of the 2 for $5 Garnier Shampoo and Conditioner and tried to buy $15 worth to get the 5RR. I tried using 6 $1 coupons which would have brought my total down to $9. I tried to pay with my 9RR from the colgate and it would only take 2 of them. Then when they reversed it and put in the 9RR first, it would only take no more than 3 coupons. What am I doing wrong? I should only end up paying tax in the end but it’s not working as I had planned. How can I make this work?

    • Anonymous says:

Hi, wags will only accept 1 coupon per product, and to them -  RR are coupons. So to make this work you would need to buy your 6 garnier products and use your 6 $1.00 garnier coupons then add 3 filler items to use your RR. Maybe the russell stover eggs that are 3/ $1.00. Their seed packets are usually pretty cheap too if your not into candy :o)   Good Luck

    • Anonymous says:

You needed filler items in order to use the RR.  You are not able to have more products than coupons (they consider RR coupons in this case).  In order to have used your RR you would have needed to grab 3 small things (maybe candy).  I hope this helps.

Thanks for clarifying Roci_R and TheKrazyCouponLady. I just started couponing 2 weeks ago and I started with CVS (which spoiled me) so I was confused when they told me that RRs are manufacturer’s coupons. I wish I was more patient and waited for a response. I ended up spending more :-( but I did get to save some RRs! :-) So now, I know and can coupon more effectively. PS: This is so addicting!

        • Anonymous says:

Walgreens is a little more difficult when learning to coupon, but stick with it! Once you get it, you will save a ton!

  11. Anonymous says:

question. this doesnt apply to walgreens but i didnt know where to post it : If there is a peelie on a box..am i allowed to take it even if i do not buy the product at this time? I always thought so..i usually take one or 2 (not the whole bunch)..if it is something i buy a LOT i might take 3 or 4  (i also share with grandparents). Just wanted to know in case i was wrong.

    • Anonymous says:

I have the book Pick another checkout lane Honey and it says in there that if you plan on using the peelies on later date its ok to take a few. If you have older children, you could send them out into the field to collect a few here and their for you. Gives them something to do while you shop and gets you few extra free coupons.

    • Anonymous says:

The ideal situation is to get a peelie from a product that you buy, but if you see one you will definately use, we feel it’s okay to take a couple.

I have to vent about my Walgreens experience today.  :(  I’m sure they were wrong and just trying to come up with any explanation cause they didn’t have an answer.  SOOOO, I went in to get the Rice Krispies deal…I used a $1 off of 2 coupon with it.  I was expecting to get my $2 RR and it didn’t print.  When I asked about it, the cashier didn’t know why so she called a mgr.  she came up rolling her eyes as soon as she saw it was about coupons, so she called another mgr.  He told me I couldn’t get the RR because I had used a coupon…that I get either one or the other.  So , I pointed out that I got my RRs for 2 other items I used coups for (Axe and Prilosec), he said it has to do with how it is written.  He totally lost me.  Is this correct?  cause it makes no sense to me since I got the RRs with the other products.  Sorry if I rambled…very frustrated lol

    • Anonymous says:

you are completely right. You can use a manufacturer coupon with an item that prints a RR. Example: 4/15 Nasal Ease-$9 Free after RR. Theres a $5 coupon out there so you pay $4+ if tax applies in your state=$….then you get your $9 RR. SO you make $$$ :) Please have your policy with you at all times, call the store manager, DM, Regional Manager, corporate and do the receipt survey. That should fix it. Happy couponing

    • Anonymous says:

That is frustrating! We have received reports that some deals will not print RR when a coupn is used, but there is no way to tell without trying the deal.  We have heard that the Rice Krispies deal is printing RR in some places and not in others.  Do you happen to know if your store is on the new computer system or the old one?

      • Anonymous says:

i believe it is the new computer system…i know the debit card machines are new anyways.  I usually don’t have problems and some of the cashiers are sooo super friendly and tell me that they love seeing how much we save…I guess today was the exception lol

I could not find the Garnier $1 Off coupon in the Red Plum from sunday’s paper 4/1, do you know why that is or where i can find this coupon online?

  17. Question for you KCL and/or other readers. Can a rebate be submitted to a company that you’ve already submitted a rebate to even if it was for a different, but similar product? Last week CVS had their Arm & Hammer BOGO and there was a peelie for “try me for free” on the Crystal burst detergent. When I went to Walgreens on Sunday they had the same peelie but for Toss’N done power packs. I have a picture if you want it btw. But can I buy it and still get the rebate since it’s a different product?

    • Anonymous says:

I don’t think that you are able to submit 2 rebates for those products as Arm & Hammer considers them both “power packs.” A picture would be helpful though so I can see both products.

just went to walgreens and bought 17$ worth of garniar but since my brother wrks there i got his 15% discount and it ended up being only 14.43 before tax. plus i used 6 1$/off garniar . so my question is would i still get my 5$ register reward w/ the 15% savings and coupons combined or no?! plus i used RR i got from buy the schick hydro to pay also and the cashier  told me that i didn’t recieve my 5$ RR because i used the RR from the schick hydro…which didn’t make sense to me at all!! idk i’m juss very mad right now !!

    •  I also bought 15 dollars worth of Garnier shampoo and conditioner and no RR printed out! So frustrated…

    • Anonymous says:

As a walgreens employee some of these deals should be done without employee discount. when it states an amount like this it has to be $15 without taxes

    • Anonymous says:

We are so sorry! That would be frustrating. Yes, we have been told that some deals will not work with an employee discount (although that is not true for all deals).  You still should have received your Garnier RR even if you used your Schick RR.

My Zantac coupon states, “Limit one coupon per purchase of product indicated. Not valid with any other offer.” Will I be able to use multiples of this coupon in the same transaction or do I need to break this up?

    • Anonymous says:

You should be able to make more than one purchase in one transaction.  “1 coupon per purchase” just means that you can only use 1 coupon per product.

I just want to say..i went to walgreens today to check on the buy one get one half off o n the olay cleanser product and the deal does not work. At the store it says on the tag bogo 50%off on regular priced items 22$ and up
so the cleansers are 6.99 at ours and we couldnt get them with this deal :( has anyone else had this problem??

    • Summer Greer says:

Same thing happened to me at my Walgreens.  I tried to do the deal but it didn’t ring up bogo 50%.  Bummed because I really need face wash and wanted to give this kind a try.

    • Anonymous says:

I will check the tags in my store tomorrow. They didn’t list it that way in my circular.  What does your circular say? Circulars can also have regional deals.

      • Anonymous says:

in Our circular is only states  “Select Olay Regenerist Skin care.06 to 6oz sale buy 1 get one 50% off. but when i got to the store on the yellow tag that explain the 50% off offer, it stated that it was only for the product that were 22 to 29$ regular prices.

If anyone try this deal let me know if it worked. I really wanted some of that cleanser, but it seems that it isn’t working over here (or maybe i misunderstood the tag??)

    • Anonymous says:

wow really? As an employee please contact his manager, his DM, and do the customer service survey on the receipt. Some coupons have 2 barcodes… the old long one like a UPC code on an item and the long one with less numbers. If they scan the short one it should go thru for your items. The long one is a little smarter.

  27. The new Olay women’s razor is free after RR if you use the $5 off coupon in the P&G this week.  Sale $8.99 – $5 coupon = $3.99 – $4 RR = +.01 moneymaker!!

Are you talking about the $5 coupon in this week’s P&G newspaper insert or a P&G home mailer?  If you are referring to the newspaper insert, the $5 coupon applies to BOTH razor and cartridges, there is a lesser value coupon for just the razor.

    Regards, A Walgreens Manager.

    • Anonymous says:

I don’t like expired coupons posted either Sabrina, but considering the fact that many times I have shopped at Walgreens and the employees obviously don’t know their own store policy, this is a little bit uncalled for.  In the vast postings on this site, I seriously even doubt KCL will note, much less comment on your kind complaint.  BTW, just today I had an issue with the Speed Stick B1G1 deal and using a coupon on each item.  The cashier, nor the MOD  knew the Official policy of Walgreens regarding coupons on B1G1 deals. Rather than argue (as I am not that type), I had the deodorant removed from my purchase.  Corporate confirmed the coupon policy for me and I will be returning the 15 miles to Walgreens to purchase the deodorant.  That, dear Sabrina, was a WASTE of MY time and money.  Walgreens employees clearly can’t even read well enough, nor are trained well enough to carry out their own policies.

We don’t intentionally post expired coupons and we are sorry if that has aggrivated you in any way.  There are some Walgreens stores that honor the ads that come out on Saunday on the Saturday before, which is why we sometimes list coupons that expire the day before an ad comes out.  If you are familiar with us in any way, you know we promote ethical coupon use.  We are also sorry that you have had negative experiences with your customers; we all have complaints when working with the public.

    • I went to Walgreens Sat and tried to use a coupon that expired that day. The manager said I couldn’t use it because it expires that day…..she was wrong right? I’m asking you instead of KCL because you work there.

Also, in case you try to get the Allegra free at CVS or a money maker at Walmart and they are all out like mine was, Walgreens also had the 5 ct. for $6.99

    • Anonymous says:

I used 2 of the $5 coupons and got $4 off with the store coupon. Did you talk to the manager? Their policy states you can stack a store coupon with a manufacturer coupon and that counts.

    • Anonymous says:

The coupons in the Walgreens Savings Books are store coupons.  The top of each coupons states, “in-store coupon good at Walgreens.”  You should talk to a manager so they can clear that up with the cashiers.

      • Anonymous says:

I actually went back when there was another cashier and did it just fine. I think that cashier must have been having a bad day. I had purchased 2 of the Allegra 5 ct. and given 2 coupons for the $7, but she only scanned one of those, and they gave me my money back that I overpaid.

  35. There’s a jello coupon .60/3 in ss 3/25 for the Houston area

  36. Anonymous says:

I think some of these deals are only good from 4/4 – 4/7?  Like the Walgreens Pure water…I think it is $2.79 until 4/4, and then $2.49?  There are a few others, too, that are only priced for the 4/4-4/7 separate ad.

  37. Anonymous says:

So I have a question. I went to Walgreens last week. They had just gotten a new computer system and it wasn’t printing RR yet so the cashier had to do it all by hand in one transaction rather than 5, and I paid for everything and the manager gave me a refund for 22.00 of RR that I would have gotten and rolled. I didn’t mind at all. Here’s the problem tho… I used the 1.00 off 2 packs of up2u gum. I wasn’t paying attention and misread the coupon. The cashier manually put the coupon in because she read it the same way I had. But I realized today that it was for 2 packs of gum rather than 1 pack. I bought 6 pack all for free because we misused 6 coupons. Does that make sense? I love my Walgreens and the specific cashier I always check out with and because I didn’t read the coupon right I owe them for the gum. How do I correct it? Can I just go in and pay them for it? Or will it cause any issues with thier system?

    • Anonymous says:

Never mind. I just got off the phone With the store. They said they appreciate the call but due to the fact that the coupons have all been sent in they said there is nothing they can do about it now. I just feel bad :(

      • Anonymous says:

Don’t feel bad.  It was an honest mistake and we all make them.  The best way to pay a store back is to continue to buy from them (maybe buy something extra this week to make up for the cost) and if your receipt has a survey on the bottom, complete it. Managers are always looking to increase their sales and they track the number of surveys they receive back (yes, they count each one and worry when their numbers are low).

As someone who works in the customer service industry, positive feedback is HUGE.  If you can send in a good recommendation for your store and staff, that will equate in raises – a great way to ‘pay back’ for good service!

  45. KCL  I need some help. I dont understand the scenarios like the garnier spend 15 get 5 RR. I did the suave one last week or the week before and never recieved my RR. When I asked the manager he said that after coupons I hadnt spent the 15 therefore I didnt qualify for the RR. So how is this scenario possible? I follow all of the scenarios to the letter so I dont know how I am getting this wrong. Help KCL!

    • Anonymous says:

not true you should be getting your rr. cause is the amount you spend before coupons.

    • Bkode says:

Have them subtotal before giving them the coupons. The subtotal will trigger the RR.

      • Anonymous says:

sorry not on all scenarios. Most have to be paid for then the RR prints. If the RR doesnt print buy 1 more item of the same line then return it. If they try to make an issue about it have them add up the price. If not they can total 34 which is a total void. they ring up all items cash out the transaction in order to print ur RR

    • Anonymous says:

The total should be before coupons. It should still trigger the RR for you (and while the manager should help you, not all of them are well-trained with coupon use).  If you are interested in this deal, please try it and come back and let us know if it worked for you.  Some of the stores have new registers which do not allow all of the RR to print with coupon use (and there is no way for the store or customers to know until the deal is tried).

      • Anonymous says:

I tried this scenario at Walgreens this morning and the RR did not print. The manager said the $15 was after coupons, not before. I explained to her that the RR had printed for me previously in similar scenarios even though I used coupons. She went ahead and printed a RR for me but said that customers are supposed to spend $15 after coupons otherwise the RR will not print. The interesting thing is last week at the same Walgreens my RR did not print for an item that I did not use a coupon for and the same manager had to come up and print out a RR for me. So it does appear that some RR’s print and others are not printing with their new registers.

        • Anonymous says:

We have had many reports that the new registers are not printing RR when certain coupons are used.  It is frustrating, especially because there is no way to tell which deals will not work prior to trying them.

        • Anonymous says:

This happend to me. So I told the manager let me buy it without Q’s and we redid the transaction. Well guess what with no Q’s it still did not print the RR. So then he proceeds to tell me it’s a corporate issue.

  46. Anonymous says:

So we’re only going to get 1 $2RR in the Rice Krispie cereal deal? If it’s buy 2 get $2 RR with a limit of four, for every 2 you buy you get a $2RR and if its limit 4 this means you can do 4 of the deal which is 8 boxes and you would get 4 $2 RRs?

    • Julia Baer says:

If there’s more than one offer in the same order, in this case, more than two boxes of cereal, you will only get the register reward for one offer. If you split up your order, and do two orders with 2 boxes in each, then you’ll get two RR. But then you can’t use the $4/4 coupon. Also, the limit of 4 means limit of 4 items, not 4 offers

    • Anonymous says:

There was also a $1/2 Rice Krispies coupon printable, which would give you the same deal of $1 per box.

    • Anonymous says:

You would only be able to buy 4 boxes with the limit of 4 (4 products not transactions).

      • Lisa Moore says:

I have been shopping at my Walgreens for years and have never had a problem following your scenarios or splitting up transactions to get RR. The manager at my Walgreens is now saying they have a new store policy saying that you can no longer have multiple transactions with the same item if it will print out a RR! (I was trying to do the Tampax Radiant deal last week….where after I purchased the first box I wanted to use the coupon inside to get a 2nd box for 0.99 but she said because I had already gotten a RR for the first box she would not let me do another transaction using the coupon form the first box because it would print another RR). She also said that their “new store policy” is that you can only use 4 of the same coupons total now…not just per transaction! So I had 5 of the UP2U gum coupons and she wouldn’t let me use all of them even though I had it split into 2 transactions. Are the managers allowed to decide the have a new store policy or do all stores have to follow the same policies? It is hard enough getting to the store once a week with only 1 car for our entire family…it would definitely stink if I can’t have multiple transactions anymore and will have to come back different days now!

        • Anonymous says:

We are so glad that you are able to follow our deal scenarios! The store policy has not changed, but managers are allowed to set their own policies.  Our store sets limits on transactions if they feel that a product is going to be popular and they don’t have enough in stock.  We are sorry that your store changed the policy.  That is frustrating, especially since you have been shopping there for years.
