Kellogg’s Special K Cereal Only $0.83 at CVS!

$1.00/3 – Kellogg’s Special K Cereals, 11.4 oz or larger, any flavor – (

There is an unadvertised deal running at CVS right now on Kellogg’s Special K products. When you buy three cereals or bars, you’ll receive $4.00 Extra Bucks! Special K Cereals and Bars are on sale this week at CVS too! Combine the sale, the Extra Bucks deal and a coupon to score cereal for only $0.83 a box! Just a note: Since this is unadvertised, I’m not sure how long the Extra Bucks deal is running. It could be a monthly deal, but if you’re interested, I’d hurry to take advantage of it before it disappears.

Kellogg’s Special K Cereal, 12-19 oz $2.50, On Sale through 4/7
Buy 3, Receive $4.00 Extra Bucks
Use $1.00/3 – Kellogg’s Special K Cereals, 11.4 oz or larger, any flavor – (

Does anyone know if this deal is still working?

    • Anonymous says:

I’m not sure if the Extra Bucks deal is still going, but Special K cereal is no longer on sale so it won’t be quite as good.

    • Edith Chaves says:

when i bought stuff at CVS yesterday it still says on my receipt  “Quantity needed to earn reward 3″ so maybe the EB will still print out but like KCL said the cereal isn’t $2.50 anymore

  2. Anonymous says:

Did any else see the KCL post last night about buying 12 boxes of Special K at CVS and getting them all for free????? I wanted to do this deal but i cant find the post anymore!?!?!?!

  3. Anonymous says:

Does the $4 ECB work with the cereal bars also, or just the cereal??? I’m in NorCal.

  4. Anonymous says:

Does this work with the cereal bars also, or just on the cereal????

  5. Anonymous says:

Do the bars count towards the $4 ECB or only the cereals????

  6. K says:

Does anyone know if the deal is only for Special K Original or if it works with all varieties?

    •  It worked with all varieties of Special K for me. I got some breakfast bars (there’s a $1/2 coupon on some of the boxes), Vanilla Almond, fruit & yogurt and Red Berries. I saw the deal on the granola cereal as well. The limit is 18 boxes too btw.

  7. I went to three CVS stores and bought 3 Special K and a gallon of milk at each one. I used a $1/3 coupon and a free milk coupon each time and got back $4 ECB each time. So I ended up paying $7.50, but I will be getting back $5 from Savingstar so all together 9 boxes of Special K cereal and 3 gallons of milk for $2.50. Great deal especially considering the milk coupons and the Savingstar deal ended the other day.

    Thank for the share!

  9. Lisa King says:

BTW The Rice Crispies and Cocoa Crispies are still on sale for $1.99 so even without a coupon thats sill a good deal cause if you buy three you still get the $4 ECB!

  10. Lisa King says:

I bought 6 boxes and only got $4.00 ECB, I asked the mngr and he said that its one per 3, per transaction. so in order to get my other $4.00 ECB I would have to seperate my transactions. well i already paid and the line was long so i took it as a lesson learned. bummer.

    • Lovin Summer says:

oh no, sorry to hear that! yea, on these deals…you always have to do them in sep transactions in order for the rewards to print up. I did it twice, and got 4 each time. Now you know for next time.

I bought 9 boxes in 3 trans no shelf clearing and there was no one else in line. I rcv’d the 4.00 ecb all 3 times.  The cashier said “I work her and didn’t even know about this great deal”. I played coupon fairy and gave her 2 of the Kellogs 1/3 coupons I had left. She was very happy and It felt great ;)

i went to cvs yesterday to get some cereal and only tag i saw was 2 for $5 dlls… I asked a cashier and she said she didnt knw about what i was talking about O.o so i went home with no cereal :-(

  13. Anonymous says:

I got an extra $1 EB back at checkout for using my green bag tag, so my cost came down to $0.50 each – yay!!!

  14. Anonymous says:

I just got back from cvs. Got 6 boxs of cereal. Did 2 transactions. Then got 9 cereal bars. I did these in sets of 2 to use the coupon for $1/2. And the last box i threw in last minute to get another $4 ecb and didn’t use a coupon. It printed out every time. 5 times to be exact. Also did the booted deal 4xs. The limit was $60 for the $5 ecb.

  15. Anonymous says:

I went yesterday and got 6 boxes and 2 gallons of milk for 3.79 (used coupons and ECBs and $3/15 cvs coupon)!!! On top of that, I got $8ECB and will get $5 savings star.  Score!

  16. Heather Gibson says:

When does this deal end? Does anyone know?

  17. Randy Claussen says:

    Worked in Tucson. Nice deal.

  18. Edith Chaves says:

has anyone tried this in so cal? Im scared of trying it because i don’t want to have to return the cereal if it doesnt work

  19. Juan Haffer says:

It’s too bad that there isn’t an expire date for this coupon :  It would be nice to know.

Just in case you were like me and bought a few special k cereal boxes about a month ago, the Special K cereal I bought had three CVS pharmacy coupons printed on the back of the box. One was for cereal bars, one for special K cracker chips, and the other was for Special K cereal. The special K cereal coupon was $1 off two special K cereals, I think.<–Don't quote me on it though.) These three coupons don't expire until 11/28/2012 I believe. Maybe when you go buy them today, they might have these same coupons. If they do, score on next special k cereal deals since there are bound to be good ones between now and 11/28/2012!!!!

    • Edith Chaves says:

yeah i just went to cvs today the coupons printed on the back of the box are $1 off 2 :)

      • Anonymous says:

I had that wrong, sorry, edited it above. Definitely though the crackers, cracker chips, cereal bars, fruit crisps, or granola bars. Still a pretty good deal though on the cereal once you combine the savings star, extrabucks, and the manufacturer coupons. Maybe use the other coupons on special k products?

  21. Anonymous says:

I have never done this before, so forgive me if this question is silly.  If receive the $4 extra bucks after you buy 3 boxes how does that count towards the savings?

    • Edith Chaves says:

if all you have is the $1 off 3 coupon at checkout you will have to pay $6.50 out of pocket and the $4 Extra bucks will be attached to your receipt for your next purchase.

so you could use the $4 Extra bucks to buy 3 more boxes of cereal and in that transaction you would only have to pay $2.50 for all three (using the EB and the $1/3 Q)

      • Anonymous says:

Have you tried using the $4 ecb to purchase the special k cereal ?? did it work?

        • Edith Chaves says:

so i just tried it right now (my first batch of cereal), yes it worked!! although i think maybe in different states the limit is different bc on my receipt it does say

          Kellog’s, buy 3 get 4 EB
          Quantity towards reward 3
Quantity needed to earn reward 3

so i can get 3 more boxes?? not sure the wording is throwing me off…oh & i live in so cal btw

    • Anonymous says:

The $4.00 extra bucks will go towards a future purchase at CVS. It’s kind of like getting a $4.00 gift card!

  22. Anonymous says:

The offer of savingstar ends today !!!

  23. Too bad Special K isn’t one of the participating Kellogg’s cereals for the  Kellogg’s Gas Rewards Card  :(

    • Edith Chaves says:

ive been looking for the gas card offer on the kelloggs website & all i see is the limited edition spoon but no gas card, is it still available?

  24. Anonymous says:

For anyone trying to do this deal with the bars – the granola bars don’t count towards the deal. Maybe because they are new? Anyway, the strawberry, blueberry, and pretzels cereal bars also count if you are all stocked on cereal.

  25. I can buy this and get free protein bar or protein drinks:)) yay..

  26. Anonymous says:

Just a thought, if you still have the $5/5 kelloggs printable coupon that was mentioned a few weeks back during Kmarts promotion, and CVS let you do it all in one transaction then you would buy 6 boxes @ $2.50 ea= $15,  take $5 off for the coupon, so you pay $10, and get back 2 – $4 ECB. (may be worth asking the cashier if they will let you do it all in one transaction.)

  27. Edith Chaves says:

this will be really good if it works i love the special K yogurt cereal! & i have $3 EB i can use toward it from my winter spendings!!

  28. Anonymous says:

I’m going to go try this today! Is there an ECB limit on this? Can we do it more than once?

    • Andrea Yoner says:

I just did two transactions and got $4ECB each time.  First transaction: 3 Special K cereals w/ $1/3 MQ, received $4ECB.  Second transaction: 3 Special K cereals w/ $1/3 MQ, used $4ECB and received another $4ECB. Oh, and my receipt says I can do it again.

      • Anonymous says:

great, thanks for letting me know! I only have 2 coupons, so I’ll do 2 transactions, my kids love this stuff!

      • Edith Chaves says:

since its not advertised, its not on the ad, but does it say it on the shelf? that its $4 EB when you buy 3? or it only comes up at check out?

        • Andrea Yoner says:

Nothing on the shelves – just the $2/$5 sale price.  I also did this one more time (don’t worry, plenty of cereal left on the shelf) in order to finish off my $20 Savingstar promo and got $4ECB again.

          My receipt:
          Kellogg’s, Buy 3 Get 4 EB
          Quantity towards this reward            9
Quantity needed to earn reward        3

Looks like I could do it again, but 9 boxes is more than enough cereal to last us till the next sale.

          • Edith Chaves says:

i just went to cvs to check the shelf and your right- nothing, i’m scared of trying this deal because if the $4EB dont print out….im stuck with cereal i didn’t need & i would be using EB i already have to pay for the $6.50 price…. what state are u in? .. im in so cal

            • Anonymous says:

Edith I live in So Cal too. The CVS I shop at has a white monthly tag underneath the yellow sale tag that says 2/5. The white tag says 3/10, get 3 EB WYB 3. Good thru 04/28

            • Edith Chaves says:

oh ok, but i dont think a saw that white tag your talking about, all it said was 2/5, but im wondering if i should go to try it at cvs and i guess return everything if the EB don’t print

            • Andrea Yoner says:

              I’m in Kennesaw, Georgia.

            • Edith Chaves says:

okay so i just went to CVS & yes!! it worked, im in so cal, although on my receipt i think the limit is 1 $4 EB per CVS card

            • Anonymous says:

I would definitely go and try it Edith. The funny thing about the CVS stores in my area is that half the time they don’t post any tags! You have to know the sales before you go shopping. The white tag I saw was at a CVS I don’t even normally go too. Go figure? Hope it works for you. :)

          • Lovin Summer says:

Yeah, I did two transactions and 6 boxes is PLENTY for a family of three….We’re stocked up too!! ;)

  29. Anonymous says:

Hey does anyone know what is the limit on this ECB.. some said 2 some said 3 I don’t know, also can I do more that 3 together and get 2 sets of ECB. Some other blog said, you need to do different transactions but limit is 3..

  30. Samantha Reynolds says:

if you use Savingstar, there’s a Special K deal right now where buying $20 in Special K products gets you $5. if the limit on this deal is at least 3, you can get 9 boxes for only $2.50 after coupons, ECBs, and savingstar. that deal expires today, so be quick if you want to take advantage of it!
