Knockout Knockoffs: Pottery Barn Lighting

Kinsey.Lindgren
If you’ve followed KCL’s Knockout Knockoffs for any length of time, you will recognize Pottery Barn as being one of the popular knockout companies. In many cases, the beauty of their merchandise is offered at prices that frighten most. So many of us search for similar items at lower prices. But did you know that Pottery Barn is also the home of some very unique knockoffs? And while the prices may still be a little high, the designs and quality are very real as they have created spinoffs of some very expensive items. So take a look at the following light fixtures and see if Pottery Barn can earn a few points for some knockoffs of their own!
Take, for example, this delicate lotus-style pendant light from Target.com.  This Capiz Shell Floral Pendant Light in white sells for $399.99 with free shipping. But you can score a virtually identical version at The Pottery Barn for only $159.00. The Capiz Pendant has $21.00 shipping, but it’s still a huge saving of 45%!

Next is a unique beaded chandelier. The Regina Andrew Wood Beaded Chandelier sells for $1,247.50 at the online store, Shop Candelabra. Or you can go to The Pottery Barn website and find their knockoff for only $499.00 and a $50.00 shipping charge. The Elena Wood Bead Chandelier has identical beading, but The Pottery Barn has saved us money by changing the styling of the light holders themselves. For me the price difference is worth the slight styling change, and you still get all those gorgeous wooden beads without the huge cost! A 56% savings!

And finally, a branching chandelier with crystal accents. The stunning Curry & Company Crystal Bud Medium Chandelier with 6 lights sells through Bronson Design for the equally stunning price of $1,971.20, although they do offer free shipping. Once again, The Pottery Barn has designed their own equally beautiful knockoff in the Camilla 6-Arm Chandelier for significantly less at $449.00 with an additional $45.00 shipping charge. Still, the shipping is worth it if you consider the overall savings.
