    I’m thinking I’ll buy 4 since I have the 10% off. so reg. 4.99 each with 10%off are 4.50 X 4=18- 1.50 coupon x2 (3)=15-5 up=10 for 4 =2.50 each

I just saw these at my Walgreen’s on clearance. They had a sticker for $2.49 ea.

Yes, it is the peppermint oil that gives the tingle sensation.  My lips are sensitive as well so I stick with all natural products.  I NEVER have a problem with dry or peeling lips with Burt’s Bees products.  But I do with many other brands.

I have one of these that I paid a ridiculous full price for a long time ago. Feels good when you first apply it but once it wears off your lips are super dried out, makes my lips actually peel. There is some chemical in them that makes your lips tingle. Sorry but I wouldn’t waste my money!

Really? That stinks.  I’m actually super sensitive to many lip products with color, and I was hoping that I could use these products since they are supposed to use natural ingredients. On the website, they say “invigorates with peppermint flavor”…I wonder if that’s what made your lips tingle? I guess I’ll have to think about this before I buy!

Yeah, mine has peppermint oil in the ingredients. That may be what does it and its too bad because I do like the color part of it. I thought it would be wonderful since it says “worlds best lip balm” right on the tube.  It may not bother you like it does me, I don’t like lip balm anyway only use it when riding in a boat. Revlon lipsticks work best for me, not as drying!! Good luck!

I’ve never noticed tingling or drying out (more than normal exfoliation that happens)…I love the shimmers I have. I have Peony, and Rhubarb. I wanna try a more brown/red colors, like carmel or maybe raisin, plum or fig.
Compared to the Bath and body works gloss with peppermint (C.O. Bigelow), if you have tried that, I loved the smell, but it did feel tingly and I think it may have made my lips a bit dry after.
But haven’t had a problem with Burt’s peppermint.
You can always try one and if you don’t like it, you could use the rest as gift toppers. I got my first one for Christmas from my sister in law. I loved it, so I got another color and then one for my sister too (who doesn’t like lipstick, but she liked the burt’s bee shimmer-peony). I definately prefer the peppemint Burt’s bees to Mary Kay’s vanilla. But everyone is different. I too don’t like lipstick, but I like a little color now and again.

It would be cheaper to use only one coupon and buy three because then they would only be $2.83. Or if you like these, you could use both coupons, but spend $10 more to buy 6 and get a second $5 UP, which would still make them $2.83. Yes, it’s hard to buy additional products without coupons (gasp!), but the price actually ends up being better.

If you buy 4 and have the 10% discount, it works out to about 2.49 each. If you have gold and buy 4, they are only about 1.99 each! And if you do want to buy 6, there are additional coupons available on the Burt’s Bees website.

  5. Erin Watkins says:

If you have the Rite Aid Video Values coupon from April, you could use it in the first scenario to save an additional $1.50 (it excludes lip products, so it would be used for the cuticle cream).  Keep in mind, if you have silver or gold discounts, you won’t be above $15 in the first scenario so your purchase won’t trigger the +ups!
Does anyone know the limit on this?

    • Erin Watkins says:

One more thing!!! I was able to print two of the $1.50/2 coupons from the link above, plus two more coupons from the Burt’s Bees website! And I believe the limit is 2 +ups.

thank you Erin! I don’t know how I didn’t see that before…it’s looks obvious now…haha. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. For those who are now going to print, just FYI, this coupon has an ad print before the coupon, so it will take a whole page.
