  1. I was able to buy them but the cashier was clearly unhappy.  It’s embarrassing because I am always really nice to cashiers, having been one myself, and it’s hard when I feel as if I’ve made them uncomfortable with what I’m doing.  If I didn’t feel confident that I could use the coupons then I wouldn’t do it!  I keep running into this with Target lately and I never had this problem in the beginning.  Honestly I’m not sure it’s going to be worth it to continue to shop there if they can’t figure out how to get their stores to accept the coupons that they are creating themselves.

  2. Heather Lee says:

I printed the coupon out early in the week so there was no size restriction, went to Target this afternoon and the cashier took them with no problem. :)

  3. Got two of these yesterday, also 2 of the banana boat… in separate transactions of course.
Went to the Target closer to my home in Mission Valley, San Diego Ca and got some grief over it, but I held strong quoting the coupon policy and got it. I don’t really like to go to that location as I seem to always have problems using coupons there. If any other readers are in San Diego, Ca, I usually have pretty good luck in the Point Loma location.

  4. My coupons that I printed clearly state excludes travel size.  Is anyone else’s saying this?

  5. Can you combine the target coppertone coupon with the manufacturers coupon on coupons.com for a different scenerio on a different size?

  6. Anonymous says:

I tried to buy them yesterday at my local target (THE WOODLANDS TX),  but they didn’t work :(

  7. Anonymous says:

I tried yesterday and the coupons didn’t work :(

Just went tonight and had a horrible experience!!! Bought glade…went through fine, banana boat Q beeped and said invalid, then coppertone Q prompted it to enter a price and it worked fine, 2nd coppertone Q scanned and actually charged me!?! Cashier got confused and called manager over and he told me my coupons weren’t real!!!!! OMG i twisted off!!! i said, i don’t even care if the coupons work at this point, but don’t you ever tell me my coupons aren’t real!!! I asked him, where do you think i printed them, out of my ass?!?!

  9. Rose Deacon says:

I used this today and worked fine. The cashier just read it and seen it did not have no limitations and typed the dollar amount in.

  10. Alyssa says:

I was trying to get one of each sunscreen and the cashier would not accept my coupon even though it has no size restriction. I asked politely that they usually adjust it down, and she said they can’t do that and that it exceeded the amount, “by a whopping penny”, oh and that they don’t accept coupons for travel size, even the manger said so too!! I’m starting to dislike shopping at target, its always a hassle with coupons there

  11. Anonymous says:

Target gave me a very tough time tonight…said Target changed coupon policy and WILL NOT be accepting coupons if they are for more than than product (price adjusting).  This deal does not work (and I had the original coupons with no exclusions)

  12. heather says:

The cashier wouldn’t take it because it exceeds the amount. I even went to
customer service where they also pointed that out. They should still
honor the coupon. I told her it has no size restrictions. I even adked
about manually inputting it and adjusting it and she say they have no
way to do that. What a lie. Horrible service. They put the coupons out
there and now they don’t want to honor them and changed the
    restrictions. Not happy!  Suggestions?

I’m in Houston and I had no problem yesterday at the Target I went to. I got two of the Coppertone, two of the Banana Boat, and four of the degree for men. All the travel sizes. When they beeped, the cashier just pushed them through and then asked me where I got all the great coupons from.

  14. Lana DeSetto says:

I printed early morning and was fine and I used at Target for $.99 travel size. Last night when my husband came home I used his computer printed 2 more coupons but now said excludes trial/ travel size..

  15. Anonymous says:

I was very lucky to have been able to use my Qs. I purchased 4 Degree deodarants and 2 Banana Boat and 2 Coppertone sunscreen and 2 Aqua Fresh toothapastes without a problem. The registered beeped, but the cashier said it was because it did that with trial size items, but she hit a button and they went through. I did notice she applied the overage to my other items (bagels and pancake mix). I am not sure if that’s what should have happened or if she should have adjusted the price down.

  16. Pressi says:

Anyone has extra coupons???My id is pressipressi@hotmail.com.. I need the above two and aveeno and neutrogena as well.

  17. JJ says:

btw if anyone has those I’m more than willing to trade! I still have some of the Revlon tools coupons ( you can get Revlon tools for free!) and I have the $3 off of Revlon cosmetics wyb a revlon tool, and the coupons for free batteries at Target, free Glade air fresheners, and a bunch more!

  18. Keli Kucera says:

All the ones I printed Sunday had the size restriction on them…

    • JJ says:

I just printed all of the suncare coupons and the Degree deodorant coupons and they all have size restrictions now :(

  19. Anonymous says:

My brother went in to buy these for me. They were $1.02 each, and the register did not take the coupons. The manager said it was not for the products he had. But he told them it does not say it excludes trial size. The manager said it has to go through the machine or it is not able to be used. So he left with nothing :(

    • Anonymous says:

Ironically, I just bought these today and was happy to read about this deal.  Now I just printed them, and they are saying “Trial size not included”.  So much for getting extra ones for our upcoming trip. :-(

  20. coupons now have restrictions :( but hopefully with the wording changing so quickly, the shelves wont be cleared when I finally make it to Target!

  21. Anonymous says:

Okay so I printed my coupons this morning before the change, but couldn’t find them in the store (didn’t know they where in travel area) Hopefully I can find a store who will take them!! Luckily I have 4 stores in my city =]

  22. booooo just printed my coupons and it reads excludes trial/travel size…. Hopefully I can find a good deal before they expire :(

  23. Stefany says:

my target coupons did not print this morning. tried five times. they are however printing now. maybe just too many requests in the am

  24. Anonymous says:

The coupon has now been changed to exclude trial sizes.. I was able to print some before it was changed so I was able to get 4 of these and 4 deoderants. The cashier wouldnt let me buy them on one transaction so I had to split the transactions and my friend had to pay for the 2nd transaction because” only one coupon per person per day” could be used.

  25. Anonymous says:

The coupon is not showing “Excludes Trial Sizes”, but I printed some before it was changed. I was able to get 4 of these even though the cashier told me that I could only use one per transaction.

  26. Carmella says:

Mine wouldn’t print and now they did with an exclusion for trial sizes D:

  27. I just picked up mine for free and also used Targets coupon for a $1 off of Banana Boat sunscreen on a trial size too.

  28. Anonymous says:

They changed these coupons now to exclude trial and travel :(

  29. Got 4 of each today! Yay! These will be perfect this summer and when ski season starts again!

  30. the coupons that i have say it has to be 4oz or higher….and all the ones i priced were $5 or more in this size…

  31. Not even going to try, my Target NEVER lets me get trial sizes or anything cheaper than the coupon. Target is the worst place to coupon. I don’t shop there for my full-priced merchandise either, they way they treat you when you have coupons is ridiculous.

  32. Anonymous says:

Are the sunscreens on the sunscreen aisle?  Or the travel size aisle?

    • Amber Jordan says:

travel section! my cashier wouldn’t ring them through for me so i had her get the manager and she wouldn’t adjust it either. finally she agreed to let me get one of each (i was trying to get 2 coppertone and 2 banana boat) but was ranting about how the picture on the coupon is the one they want you to buy. oh well!

  33. Anonymous says:

On the coupon it says coupon value may not exceed value of item. Well the coupon is for a $1.00 off and the item is only $0.99. Will it be ok?

    • Marta Lopez says:

they adjust the coupon to .99

    • Anonymous says:

Not at my store. I tried to use a $1 Target coupon for a 97 cent item today and they wouldn’t let me do it. I even asked if they would adjust it down and they said no. They pointed to the wording “may not exceed value of item”. I can understand this if it’s a Target coupon, because they have the right to not give away their merchandise if they don’t want to. BUT they have been adjusting down my manufacturer coupons lately per their coupon policy, which I do NOT agree with. After all, Target will get reimbursed the full value of the coupon from the manufacturer, plus a handling fee. So, when Target will only give me 97 cents for my $1 coupon, they are basically stealing 3 cents from me that the manufacturer meant for the consumer to use, not for Target to make extra profit. I complained in store and I called their 800 number because this seems unethical to me. I told them that they are the only store in my town who adjusts down manufacturer coupons and I don’t appreciate it. From what I’ve read online, a lot of people are getting fed up with Target’s coupon policy and everyone who doesn’t agree with it should call and ask that they review it.

      • Gwen Renee says:

Good for you! I filed a complaint with their 800 number for my store. I don’t appreciate them not having a copy of their coupon policy in their store either and yet they tell me that I’m wrong. The 800 representative said the only reason why they wouldn’t accept it would be if there was a quantity issue and for next time to call them while at the store so they can talk to the manager.

        • Anonymous says:

I have had issues at Target with their coupon policy. The cashiers do not know their own coupon policy, and I have came across 3 managers that do not know their coupon policy. I called the number to complain, as well as wrote to them online, and they say they are sorry for my inconvinence and then can not do anything about it. Once I overpaid and told them, and they did not want to refund me. Target does not care at all. I had an issue with kmart once and they were amazing, they gave me a $20 gift card. I did not even expect that. They care about customers.

      • Celeste Johnson says:

Same thing happened to me today. They wouldn’t let me use the $2.00 off 2  Degree deoterants. Because they were .97 cents each. They also wouldn’t let me have the banana boat/coppertone because they were .99 cents and the coupons were for $1.00. They used to pay out the overage. Then they started adjusting the coupon down to the value of the item. And now today, they wouldn’t let me have it all.

      • Sara Schmuecker says:

Unfortunately, I had an issue with my coupons at Target today, too :( I was pretty excited to get 4 free Degree deoderants, 2 Coppertone Sunscreens, and 2 Banana Boat sunscreens. I also purchased another item (which I needed anyway) to absorb any overage because SuperTarget in Lincoln, NE sometimes gives overages. I went to a nice-looking male cashier (I’ve had great luck with this demographic in the past) and he was very friendly and nice, but he was unsure of how to adjust down the coupons, so he called over his manager “Charline” and explained to her that I was using these coupons with no size restrictions, and he understood they were beeping from being more than the amount of these trial size items. She immediately shook her head & said “No, she has to buy the full size items.” I politely told her that the coupons did not have any size restrictions, and that my friend had just been in the store that morning buying the sunscreens with the very same coupons. She said “No, they only work on the full size items.” and she walked away. The poor cashier didn’t know what to do, so asked if I wanted to void out the transaction, I said yes & thanked him for being polite and left the store. I’m now going to call and complain, because this was a very disappointing visit to Target. Thanks for letting me vent!!

        • Cassandra says:

I am so sad to hear this happened in Lincoln! I am in Omaha and NEVER have a problem with any coupons I use, EVER! I have been so happy with how easy-going they are with the coupons, I hope I don’t experience any of the embarrassing (sometimes horrifying) coupon trips other people have. I hope this was just a one time thing for you and next time it will be a better shopping trip!

        • Candy says:

I had a similar situation at the Target that I “looved” because the cashiers are so friendly and override the coupons – because all Target coupons beep….. well I thought I chose a very good cashier turns out I was wrong…. She argued with me about the coupons – even argue about the Glade Diffuser (Buy 1 starter kit get one refill free) Manu coupon and I also had a $1 off Target coupon for the starter kit. She called the manager who okay it but hung up and said I don’t know how to do it. That she would need to call the manager again and have her come to the register. The line was building and after going back and forth with her – I told her I’d take it over to customer service. She manually entered in all my coupons for the rest of my transaction – didnt bother scanning even my manu. coupons – wasn’t until I got home and realized she skipped 2 of my manu coupons. The entire time she kept repeating, “I hate coupons…. I really hate coupons.” Your a cashier – your opinion doesn’t matter… I had my baby and didn’t want to hold up the line any longer than I already did… It just really made my day though. I felt I needed to vent as well!!

        • Jacqueline says:

Oh gosh, same thing happened to me! I pointed out that it did not say any size restrictions and she said no because she didn’t want people to take ‘advantage’. What made me really upset was when I tried to buy the Gold Bond powder with a manufacturer coupon.  The Q did not state ETS and she wouldn’t let me use them. Some of these cashiers and or managers treat you so bad when they think you are getting such a ‘good and or free’ deal.  Come on, it’s America- Couponing is built on the fundamentals of Capitalism.  It takes time and effort to research deals, clip coupons, not to mention money- paying for newspapers. I think that the cashiers and managers who treat you bad because you are using coupons are purely jealous. They should go live in a Socialist country.

    • Candy says:

Normally (for the “any glade spray”) coupons automatically adjust to the price. The glade sprays that I bought were all $0.99 and the coupon was $1 off any glade spray… after the cashier overrides it on my receipt it showed that it only took off $0.99 and that the item rings up as $0.00…..

ok im new in printing target coupons because I seldom shop there ( we’re 35 mins away), but today I printed the coppertone & sunscreen coupon but notice that  there’s no amount nor wording on the coupons.  it has the item pix, target name/logo, expriation date, barcode and note about saving 5% with redcard. so, my questions are, can i use this q and how will the cashier know how much is it for?

      • Anonymous says:

The coupon should say $1.00 off for the sunblock coupons. When the bar code is scanned the register should know, but it does not all the time.

  34. Anonymous says:

The coupons say “coupon value may not exceed value of item purchased.” So, I guess they just round up 99 cents to a dollar and that’s why it’s free?

    • Marta Lopez says:

it does beep but u have to make sure to tell them to adjust it for you :)

    • rose d says:

luckily they are 1.07 at my store.

    • Anonymous says:

Ask the cashier to adjust the value of the coupon to $0.99 and it should be fine : )

Is your printer running low on ink? Target coupons print just like that for me when I’m almost out of ink. It should say $1.00 off coppertone sunscreen lotion and $1.00 off banana boat sport sun care item.

      • heather says:

      • My Target wouldn’t allow me to use it because the price of the coupon exceeded the amount of the item. I asked them to adjust it and they wouldn’t. Is this up to the cashier? I was bummed… couldn’t get the Degree deoderant either :(

        • Anonymous says:

I have two Targets and they both said the same things for the Coppertone and the mens Degree deodorants.  They would not adjust them down.   The Banana Boat sunscreen was priced $1.02 so I was able to use those.  I think it is up to the manager at the time.  I had the same issue a few weeks ago with the Food Saver coupons.  i went to two stores, one did adjust the manufacturer coupon down to $9.99 from $10 so I was able to use it there.  They do state in their policy that the manager can refuse to accept any coupon.

  35. Yippee! these ones worked for me today:)

    • So does that mean they didnt beep and go thru fine?

      • No Valerie Trujillo, I am sorry I should have specified. I had all kinds of problems printing Target coupons for about a day or so, But these ones printed without issue for me. I have been reading a lot about people having bad experiences at Target recently too and had one of mine own, Not horrendous, but odd because I have not had any in 2 years , Hoping they work ok there too.

  36. Amanda Patience says:

I can’t get mine to print either. I’ll have to try IE when I get home.

  37. kayla says:

I can’t seem to find either coupons on the Target website?! Which category are they listed under?

  38. Susan Amen says:

I just printed them off with out a problem. I used Firefox.

  39. my coupons wont print :( this happen yesterday too..and its only happening when im trying to print the target coupons
