Did you get trial size banana boat sunscreen? Just curious as how I can get free sunscreen! It’s soooo expensive!

When this coupon was originally available, it didn’t exclude travel sizes, so some lucky people were able to grab free sunscreen at Target! Then the coupon’s wording was changed. Hopefully we’ll see more great coupons in the next month so that we can score some hot sunscreen deals : )

  2. That happened to me when trying to buy the handheld food savers. The manager 1st implied that I faked the coupon then told me I was trying to steal by using the coupon wrong. I pointed out that there was no exclusions and she told me she didn’t care she wasn’t taking it so I could just leave. I left so embarrassed I started crying. I called their customer hotline number and they forwarded me to a complain supervisor who was so sorry. She said it wasn’t my fault that coupons are put out without the intended wording, she said I shouldn’t have a problem and should ask for a manager (I can’t remember what she called them…p something) not their GSA who run the front end. Then sent me a $20 GC because of the hassle.

Hi Diana, I just wanted to let you know that I called
corporate and spoke to a complain supervisor at the Minneapolis HQ. What he
explained to me was that if a coupon has no size restriction no matter what
they should be scanning the coupon. The machine should adjust the coupon if a
travel size item can be purchase with the coupon, if not then they should be
manually entering the coupon and if that does not work the next step is calling
the manager (if they need to) to find out the problem. He also suggested
calling their 1800 number when you are at the store or have them call if
something like that ever happens. (I know that may not be ideal sometimes).  I told him that I would like to see their
employees, supervisors and manager properly trained on coupons because to me it
seems like they are afraid to put a coupon thru before they scan.  I also told him that not everyone that goes
to target to purchase with coupons is looking to get a free item and run.

i had issues with all of my travel size purchases this week…among the other deals which were under $1 or $2 for the deodorants, i purchased the more expensive banana boat item ($1.49 i think) and it still didn’t work. it even had a big red X on the screen as if a coupon beep isn’t embarrassing enough…he had to manually type in all discounts for those 3 coupons and i later saw that he only gave me $1 off for the 2 men’s deodorants instead of $2…oh well…i am enjoying my cheap aveeno sunscreen :)

  4. Tried using mine today on the travel size. One of them was 249 for the travel size (put that one back immediately!) and the other one they told me i couldnt use because the coupon would put the total below zero and they said they cannot just make it free and i pay the tax…. gonna send my mom in later to do it, because it was actually a typo in their calculations of adjusting the coupon to the item price, not that i couldnt use it… hope everyone else has better luck!!!

  5. If anyone is having trouble getting this item try walgreens clearance. I found Banana boat suncreen baby, kids, and adult in that aisle for $3.29. Some of these items will have a bonus item also! Also look for tropicana suncreen.

I printed outmy max of 2 coupons a few days ago.  It doesn’t say excludes trial or travel size.  Can I still use that? I used one the other day and the associate was so upset that it was a trial or travel size and told me I couldn’t use it.  Her supervisor told her to accept it. I love getting free stuff, but I hate how the cashiers often react.  Does the new coupons print out “excludes Trial and Travel size”?

    • I hate that people are getting treated this way!! There are several reasons to why this is happening and the managers need to teach these employees some manners!

the ones I printed didn’t say “excludes trial/travel sizes” and when the cashier saw the coupons he tried saying I couldn’t use it because of that and I asked him to show me where it says that and he said it just says coupon cannot exceed price of item so I told him he can just manually put it in for the price of the item! took some huffing and puffing out of him but he finally gave in!!

    • JennyC says:

Yeah, the new coupons your print out from target now include “excludes trial/travel size”

This is the same coupon that you printed a few days ago, but if you were to print one now, it would exclude trial/travel sizes.
