Rite Aid Extreme Couponing (week of 5/13): $5.00 or Less

Welcome to this post where we will lay out some extreme couponing deals that will cost you about $5.00 each week! First, here’s everything you need to know about shopping at Rite Aid:

Before shopping at RiteAid you should sign up for a Wellness card or get one in your store.  The best deals at Rite Aid utilize the +Up Rewards and the Single Check Rebate (SCR) system.   In addition to the +Up Rewards, which are coupons that print with your receipt (similar to CVS), Rite Aid sends you a monthly check for the total of all your rebates purchased during that month with the SCR program.  You can cash the check as you would any other check.  In addition to the +Up Rewards and the SCR program, you can watch videos on products and receive Video Value coupons.  These coupons can be printed from your computer after you watch the corresponding videos. You can use each coupon once per Wellness card.   Go here for RiteAid’s updated coupon policy and here to watch the video on shopping at Rite Aid.

I’m new to RA couponing, but not couponing in general…So when I buy the Visine product in the above scenario, will I get $ 3.00 Up rewards? I read it in their ad, May being healthy vision month. Will it just print on the receipt like CVS does? RA seems a bit more complex with all the different types of coupons , but they seem to have some great deals. I want to do the patene deal, but not sure how that will worK. I have a BOGO and a $3/2, can I use a bogo and a $3/2 on two? I’m confused :/

I have a question… I have recently been reading some posts (on different sites) that when using the Pantene BOGO mq you can’t use it with a “cent” off q.  This person says they have a contact at P&G and they say “NO”.

Rite Aid has Pantene on sale this week, as you have posted, for $7 for 2… Purchase 4 use 2 BOGO q’s and a $3/2 q pay $4 and get 2 $2UPs.

Can you give me some insite on my first question.  And that would tell me if this senario would be able to be used.

    Thank you girls!

My Rite Aid refused to let me use all the coupons.  They stated it was against their coupon policy.  I had my policy with me and everything and they still wouldn’t ring me out.

I have a question bout the silver and gold discounts.  I am at silver, but if the item is on sale it wont give me the 10 percent off.  At my riteaide they say that it will only do it for a full priced item.  If this is true then I dont really see the point of the points.  Most people, including myself don’t normally buy things that are not on sale at a drugstore. Has anyone else ran into this problem?

    • Anonymous says:

You get the bigger discount.  Ex… If an item is regular price of $10 and is on sale for $9.50 and you get a 10% discount, your price will be $9.00.  It gives you the bigger of the 2.  I hope that helps.

  4. thank you, i was just wondering if the 20% would apply. darnit :((

It seems that the razor deal is still not tracking. I am calling tomorrow.

  6. Maureen says:

Couldnt you do 4 pantene bottles (shampoo/conditioner)
    2x$7/2 = $14
    - 2 BOGO 4/29
    -$3/2 from 5/13
    = $4 and get $4 UPS?

  7. Francis says:

Help please I’m new to couponing at Rite Aid. When the UP rewards have limits, like the Pantene and Softsoap this week can I purchase all 4 Pantenes and 2 Softsoaps in the same transaction? Will all the UP rewards print??

  8. I’m curious on how to approach the RiteAid in-ad coupon. It shows the RA logo in the corner yet the wording on the top says Manufacturer’s Coupon. So we shouldn’t be allowed to use the In-Ad Coupon AND the MFQ that comes out on Sunday.

I have tried to do sales similar transactions with Video Values and MFQs together and every time my RA store says they won’t take both because the RA Video Values state Manufacture’s Coupon.

Maybe I just have very strict RiteAid stores where I am… :-/

Show them the coupon policy. The coupon policy says “More than one coupon can be used on the purchase of a single item under the following conditions: No more than one “48″ valuable coupon, one “49″ Rite Aid manufacturer coupon, and one “5″ manufacturer coupon can be used on a single item.”    The in ad coupons start with a 49 and are Rite Aid coupons and can be stacked with the manufacturer coupons. Hope that helps

      • It does help a lot, thank you BarstowMom. I do know about stacking but I was just confused on how to approach this situation!! Thanks again for your help! :)

  9. lol i clicked on this thought it was walgreens, we dont have Rite-Aid here in tx ): looks like yall have some good deals <3

There’s also the $10 up reward wyb $30 for the Schick so if you do the above scenario in 3 separate transaction (in ad coupon is limit1) you can get the $10 up reward for a $4.03 moneymaker. For the Pantene if you buy 4 and use 2 BOGO free coupons and 1 $3/2 coupon from 5/13 PG you can get 4 for free. Soft Soap had the $0.75 off coupon from 4/15 SS that is good only through 5/13 and you can get the 4 pack of bar soap for only $0.24. The new grand total for everything above after coupons and up rewards received will now be a $1.51 moneymaker.

hahah i thought this was for Walgreens for a sec.i was going to say wlagreens doesnt track spendings.the schick looks like a great deal!

I was aware of that scenario too but didn’t want to post it because the in ad coupon says one per customer and some stores may stick to it and I don’t want to confuse readers or mislead them. The one person per coupon printing is tricky. I know many stores let people use one per transaction but the wording clearly states one per person. What is the experience of the rest of you? What are your thoughts- if we use more than one in different transactions, is that legit?
Didn’t post the Soft Soap coupon because it is only good Sunday but please use it if you are shopping on Sunday!
Thanks BarstowMom- we always love your input as you are one savvy shopper!

Thanks KCL I totally get what you’re saying and it can be tricky especially now that lots of manufacturer coupons state One Per Customer now. My store won’t allow the in ads to be used in one transaction but will allow them in different transactions and it depends on the store if they let you do this or not.

My RA  follows exactly what the inad coupon states. “one per person” -I dont consider multiple transcations to apply to the inad coupons (I know some coupons you can do seperate transcations when it states one per person) however my RA does not allow this. If you want to purchase more than one you need to come back-  I can imagine that this might help with shelf clearing etc..(the limit).

I bought 3 of the Schick razors today and I did not receive the $10 UP reward.  Is it because my total was 9.99×3=$29.97 and not $30.00.  My cashier said she didn’t know what I could do…….any suggestions?  thanks

Since Friday there’s been tracking issues with the Schick deal and I had to call Customer Service when I did this deal Friday and they are mailing me the $10 up reward and said they were working on it and it should be fixed soon. I would have thought it would be fixed by now but isn’t. You’ll still get your $10 up reward because Rite Aid rounds up so you hit the $30 mark. Call 1800RiteAid in the morning and have your receipt and wellness card ready. It’s fast and easy and they’ll mail it to you and you’ll get receive it in the mail usually in a week. I’m always having to call about up rewards a few times a month and have never had a problem and the rewards they mail have longer expiration dates on them.

Thanks soooooo much for your reply.  I will call this morning!  Please know we all appreciate your help.  I have learned alot in the short time I have been couponing (it’s my new hobby since early retirement) from KCL & you……regret I didn’t coupon earlier.  Thanks again for your helpfulness to us all!

    • Lovin Summer says:

I’m so confused on the patene deal, how will I get 4 shampoos for free by using 2 bogo and the 3.00/2 cpn? wouldn’t I still be paying $4.00 when buying 4?? I’m getting 2 for free with using 2/bogo, and the two I’ll be paying for, will be $7.00 per ad, and after the $3.00/2 cpn, that’s $4.00! what am I doing or thinking wrong? how are you coming up with 4 free? help.

      • Anonymous says:

There on sale  2/$7 so you’ll buy 4 which = $14, use 2 BOGO Free coupons which will deduct $7 since the BOGO coupons are taking off 2x $3.50. you’re new total $14-$7=$7. Now use the $3/2 coupon on the 2 pantene’s that you are actually paying for $7-$3= $4. pay $4 and get back (2) $2 =up rewards = 4 for free.   lol after I wrote this I read your edit but I’ll leave the breakdown of it just for in case anyone else is confused.
