  1. April Dean says:

So I went to Walgreen’s this morning and purchased several items included in your list above of “Spend $15.00 or more on the following products, Receive $5.00 Register Reward off your next shopping trip.”  I got $34 in items but did not get the $5 RR, but could not find it in the sales ad to get the cashier to understand what I was talking about.  Where did you find that list? I looked on the Wags website and could not find it there either…….help me plz…..I had an awesome deal worked out!!

    • Anonymous says:

All of the circulars, just like coupons, are regional, so the deal may not have been good in your region (boo to that). We get the ad ahead of time from a variety of sources, including Iheartwags.com and our local store. Most of the deals are universal, but they do have variations.

I just wanted to make a comment on using milk as a filler in SoCal. As long as your total before you ring up your milk is more then your RR the milk can be used as a filler.

I don’t know if I am doing this all wrong, but I went into Walgreen’s yesterday and the cashier had to call the manager. It took the manager 5 minutes to come to the register. By then, there were 5 people in line, waiting. I know to do the tranactions separately and to be nice, but his was kinda getting out of hand. I decided to make it easy and do SIMPLE buys!!
Today, I wanted to buy (3) of the Purex that was on sale. I had 3 coupons and a register RR for $3.00 and so I scoured the store for a filler item. With no luck finding a .35 cent item, I saw the Nice Raisins, the shelf price said $1.00, for a package of 6. WOO-HOO, healthy!!! I went to the register and the cashier said “YOU CAN’T USE THIS RR, you don’t have enough items. He did not see the raisins. So he rang up the raisins and the register would not take the RR. So, then again, he had to call the manager, and again it took the manager 8 to 10 minutes to come to the register. Finally, I was able to check out. I noticed my bill was larger than it was supposed to be. I just wanted to get out of there!! They charged me $1.59 for the raisins. I used to be a manager for PetsMart for 8 1/2 years and we never took that long for customer service!! I don’t think I want to shop there anymore!!!
    Any advice??

    • Anonymous says:

It sounds like your transaction was set up perfectly. Did you check out at the main register or did you use a secondary register? I always check out at the photo counter to prevent a line from building up behind me. My Walgreens does not allow multiple transactions at the main register and using a secondary one reduces the pressure couponers feel when transactions go bad and other shoppers get frustrated.

      • Poolside1 says:

Yes, I was at the main register. I did wait until there was nobody around to check out. I will do the photo counter next time and see if it is better. I am trying to learn all this stuff. Thanks to your site, as I have learned alot!!!!

        • Anonymous says:

I do all of my transactions at the beauty section register..And I try not to shop during peak hours..I either go first thing in the morning (the beauty section lady gets there at 9) or in the late evening time.

          • Poolside1 says:

Thanks alot for the information!! I went there around 11:30 am the first time and around 3:45 pm the last. Again, thanks!!!

I’m still new to this too. It was suggested to me that I familiarize myself to one store at a time…lol Silly me I chose Walgreens first…lol Now that I have this one down, I should be moving on to the next store (Rite Aid)  But I’m leery of it, cause the ladies that work there seem a little cranky every time I go in there…

            • Anonymous says:

If you can do Walgreens, you will have no problem with Rite AId!!! Great job!

Thank you. My boyfriend is amazed at what is possible with the help of coupons. I read him a lot of the posts here in the brag lounge and he shakes his head in disbelief, but when I walk in the door with arms loaded and show him the reciepts he totally changes his tune….lol
I want to say Thank you to EVERYONE that has put anything into This Site. This is where I have learned most of what little I know. THANK YOU….

i was about to ask about this.  I have two $1 of all three mq and $1 off 2 hershey’s sq and  $1 off 2 nabisco mq.  can I use all of the coupons? that is 4 coupons for six items so I shouldnt need a filler but didnt know if the rest would be ok.  only at this a couple of months and you have been a big help! thanks, Kat

        • Anonymous says:

You would not be able to us ethe $1/2 Nabisco MQ as the first coupon you mentioned would cancel it out. Glad you have found us helpful!! :)

  6. Janelle King says:

I was in Walgreens this morning and they have Nestle Crunch, Butterfinger, and 100 Grand full size candy bars on sale for $0.50 each. Pair it with your $1.00/3 manufacturer coupons from a few weeks ago and pay only $0.30 per candy bar! (just what I need….MORE candy! lol)

  7. Anonymous says:

Where can I find Nice brand coupons??

  8. Anonymous says:

Question- I tried to use 2 mqs for ROC products yesterday (bogo50%), and the Walgreens employee read the coupon “Limit one coupon per person” and refused the second one. The coupon also states “No more than 4 coupons (of any kind) for the same product in the same transaction” (in bold). I want to use the coupon properly, but I’m confused. Does anyone know which statement to abide by? They seem to be contradictory.

    • Anonymous says:

In order to follow the wording (which is definately confusing) we suggest that you bring a shopping buddy that way at check out there are two of you (technically one coupon per person)!

  9. Vicki says:

I have a general Walgreen question… This morning on my way to work I stopped at Walgreens to browse the clearance shelves. I got a great deal on a mens Schick trimmer I am not sure how much they are regularly however it was marked 2.99 and the sign on the shelf said any clearance item with a yellow sticker was an additional 50% off. So that dropped the price to 1.49 and then I used a 1.00 Q and got it for .49.  I also picked up cortaid spray which was 5.79 bogo 50%off  with a yellow sticker so  2.89 for the first one and 1.44 for the second one both with a 1.00 Q making both 2.33… so far so good.
    Very happy with my find.
Now here is the question, they had walgreens nasal strips a box of 30 for 4.99 with the yellow sticker. That would bring it down to 2.49 each   I wanted to use the 3.00 off Walgreens coupon in the May savings book. But they would not allow it.  I realize they would have to adjust the price of the Q down to the 2.49 . They said since it was a clearance item already and that they could not accept the walgreens Q because it would  actually be like accepting 2 Q’s. Just wanted your thoughts on this. Were they correct or is this one of those situations that I should call corporate?

    • Anonymous says:

They should accept the coupon with this sale. I have always used coupons with clearance items (I love the clearance section). Great job on your other finds!!

      • Vicki says:

I wanted to follow up- I called the 1 800 wags #, The nice customer service rep said that the decision is up to the store manager. Oh well it would have been a great deal had it worked out.

  10. I heard that the Starbucks RR is rolling. Has anyone experienced this? Thanks.

  11. My Walgreens has Pantene for B1G1 50%.  I have B1G1 Free coupons.  Am I able to combine that sale with my coupons? Oh, and I have a $3 coupon if I buy 2 Pantene.  What all can I use?

  12. Anonymous says:

I just wanted to add that the Walgreens by my house had Aquafresh on sale for 99 cents.  If any one still had the $1/1 Fresh and Fruity printable, from Aquafresh.com.  The ones that I used today expire on 5/31.

    • Rayna Jones says:

i saw the deal in the online circular only… im so excited for this one! been holding on for such a deal! Went this morning & they didn’t have any out! boo hoo! They don’t get new stock till Tuesday evening.

    • Anonymous says:

Thanks for this. I tried this in SoCal and the Walgreens night manager would not accept the newspaper coupon because it was one penny more than the list price. I tried to get him to adjust the coupon, but he said they don’t do it. What do I do?

      • Anonymous says:

Did you have the Walgreens coupon policy with you? The policy states, “The coupon amount must be reduced if it exceeds the
value of the item after other discounts or coupons are applied. (For example, a
$5.00 coupon for a $4.99 item will result in a $4.99 coupon value).” You can check out the full policy and print a copy here: http://thekrazycouponlady.com/category/walgreens/

  13. I didn’t see a rebate inside the Walitin Allergy Medicine box.  Is it online somewhere?  -Traci

    • Anonymous says:

You can find it on the Walgreens website or you can find it in the back of the Walgreens May Savings Book (page 80).

  14. Rayna Jones says:

Just a heads up with the U by Kotex Sleek Tampons, 18 pack $3.99- Walgreens has it advertised again this week  5/13-19 as receiving $3.00 RR, but i went this morning to roll them yet again, and the first trans. didn’t give me any RR. The cashier tried again, and was confused herself that’s it’s not working… Had to get a refund.  Might still work at yours? im in CA.

  15. Whitney says:

The Dry Idea deodorant was on clearance for $2.39 at my Walgreens so after the BOGO sale and the $2/2 coupon, I was able to get 2 for just $.39! Wish I could find that coupon to print it again, but it’s gone now :( I didn’t realize what a good deal I had gotten to the register and had totally miscalculated my total! Thought I would pass this on…

  16. beipooful says:

It’ll be nice if the above list, the individual items can be deleted to customize for our shopping list.

    • Anonymous says:

Can you be more specific about what you would like us to do please?

      • Anonymous says:

I think the suggestion is like some of the other sites that allow you to check a box next to the matchups that you personally want to add to your shopping list, and it builds a list for you, which you can then print.
Personally, I just see the deals I am interested in, Copy and Paste them onto a Word document.

        • Anonymous says:

That makes sense! We are already discussing some re-formatting ideas (have you noticed any new ones?!?)

          • Anonymous says:

The usability of this site is one of its best features.  I have noticed that the site has continued to improved and become more of a joy to use!

          • Anonymous says:

One of my favorite things about this site is how clean it is. I can easily find what I want and the look just helps me find what I need faster. The only thing I would love more is if my paper didn’t keep the product the same but change the brand so often with q’s. So frequently I see this with pasta, bbq and other items I of course want.

Being a new coupon-er, I will still refer to myself as a beginner who is finally catching on!!! :)  I will have to agree, I use 2 coupon blogs to compile my favorite sales.  My favorite qualities within the blog are organization, informative, comprehensive, accuracy, and timely.  I would have to agree with you OHIO_DAD, this would cut a lot of time out of my coupon process if I was able to compile my shopping list on the blog and just print. Fantastic idea!!  I would say the only other thing is if someone would actually shop for me. lol… BTW thank you ladies for all the hard work and time that you put into your blog seven days a week and reaching out to us.  Myself and family are very grateful for everything you have provided us.

          • Anonymous says:

Thanks for this feedback! We are going to look into creating a “list” option.  We are so glad that this website helps you and your family (it makes the hard work totally worth it)! And if we could shop for you, we probably would!

        • Anonymous says:

GREAT NEWS! We will be creating an option so that you can customize your shopping list. I am not sure when we will launch this feature, but it is in the works!!!

          • Anonymous says:

While we’re giving feedback, I’m new to couponing and I’ve noticed that I have a lot of coupons I don’t use.

I’d like maybe  place where I can post what I have for grabs. I have a lot of pet food coupons that I don’t use because I don’t have any pets. =]

            • Anonymous says:

Thank you for the suggestion. We will discuss this possibility. In the mean time, you can post what you would like to trade/ don’t need on our fb wall for other readers to see!

  17. Tina Seitz says:

Ok I have a Question, with the Buy one get one 50% off disposable razors….Can I use a BOGO coupon with it?? Buy the one Mach 3 (use the BOGO coupon to get the free one with the one that I have bought) but still get the one for 50% which I would use a $2/1 Venus disposable.. Essentally getting 3 packs of razors????

    • Anonymous says:

No. If you use the BOGO coupon with this sale, you will get the 50% off razor for free. You are not able to use another coupon.

Anyone willing to trade a Discover the Value of a Great Buy Booklet for some Starbucks Refreshers coupons (or any other coupons for that matter)?  I keep seeing great deals with coupons from this booklet, but don’t have access to a Publix to get one.  I’m in CA btw…

  19. Anonymous says:

KCL, a suggestion for your site:  a page that has information on where you can find some of the specialty coupon booklets, for instance:  Discover the Value, the random Walgreens booklets, Simple Desserts, the multiple Kraft booklets, etc.
Then when you do your matchups, you can make that text link-able, so when clicked on it takes the reader to the KCL page (and spot on the page) that tells the reader where they can try to find that special coupon booklet.  Perhaps readers could also add comments on this page to share their secrets and tips on where they found the booklets.
I know that is often a common question in the Comments…”where do I find xxxx booklet?”
    Just a suggestion! :)

  20. Anonymous says:

Does anyone know if you buy say like 3 or 4 of those Starbucks refresher drinks in one transaction will you receive 3 or 4 RR? Or, do I have to ring each one up to get the RR? Sorry, this might be a dumb question, but I just wanted to be sure when I go Monday. Thank you very much!!

    • Anonymous says:

You have to do separate transactions to get RR for each one. :(

    • margaret nguyen says:

Each register reward must be rung up individually to work.  If it says buy 2, get a reward then only buy 2 in one transaction.  If you buy 3 or more then you will only get 1 RR printed.  If it says buy 1, get a RR, then only buy 1 in a transaction.  If you buy 2 or more, then you will only get 1 RR.  Hope this helps.

    • Anonymous says:

Each Refresher needs to be in its own transaction in order to get each RR.

how are the Naturelif for 5.99 FREE with only a 1.00 off coupon? please because I use this product and I have the coupons. But is it worth a 30 minute drive to Wags to get them?

Is the $5 when you buy $15 only for those two cleaners?

I have a general Walgreen’s question.  I realized a few weeks ago that I could take the RR to Meijer or Kroger and they would let me use them because they are manufacturer coupons.  This made a huge difference in my “able to shop at Walgreen’s” scenario because I don’t have one near me to be able to get back to spend the rewards all the time.  Yesterday I noticed the RR say “redeemable only at Walgreens” on the bottom.  Has it always said that and I just got lucky, or is this a recent change?  Does anybody know?  I always follow all the rules and I don’t remember seeing that before.

It has always said that. I know that some people are able to use RR at other loactions, but we use it only at Walgreens.

I didn’t realize that.  I don’t want to do anything unethical.  Because it’s a “manufacturer coupon” is Meijer and/or Kroger getting reimbused okay for that then?  I won’t really be able to shop at Walgreens if I can’t use them somewhere else.  They would expire on me too often.  :(

I am able to use the walgreens rr at my local grocery store as well. It is fine. And yes, they do get reimbursed. You are not doing anything wrong. Happy Shopping ;)

So I tried to use my RR at Meijer today and it wouldn’t scan.  If it won’t work at Kroger (I’ll try tomorrow) my days of shopping at Walgreens might be over.  I can’t get there often enough before they expire and my Walgreens is oftentimes out of things when I do.  :(

I’m a little late, but today I went into Walgreens for the first time and the manager there saw me with my coupon binder.  She took the time to let me know the best way to save the most and she mentioned that their RR are from the manufactures and every now and then, you’ll get one from Walgreens.  Pretty much, I’m just agreeing with everyone else: you are fine.
