Walgreens Extreme Couponing (week of 5/13): $5.00 or Less

Welcome to this post where we will lay out some extreme couponing deals that will cost you about $5.00 each week! First, here’s everything you need to know about shopping at Walgreens:

Walgreens allows one manufacturer coupon and one store coupon per product. You may use Walgreen’s Register Rewards in addition to these coupons.  The Register Rewards print like a Catalina on a little machine near the cash register.  The most important thing to remember when coupon shopping at Walgreens is that you have to have as many items to purchase as you have coupons, including any Register Rewards you want to use.  We often use “filler” (cheap, extra items) so that we have enough items to purchase.

Before shopping at Walgreens, you might want to review the Walgreen’s How To Video. Walgreens is certainly the hardest drugstore to shop, but it has the best deals!  What I like most is that you can repeat the deals and get more product.  The limits are just one per transaction, so you can get more than one item–just don’t clear the shelves!!  Here’s a link to the coupon policy.

Can anyone help me? I went to walgreens this morning and the manager said i wouldnt get a RR because the item was free. Is anyone else having the same problem or what am i doing wrong.

    • Anonymous says:

The RR should print whether you use a coupon or not. If you use a coupon and it doesn’t print, ask them to ring one up without a coupon. I’m sure it won’t print either in which case the manager should manually print or compensate you.

  4. They will be having the Kids Aqua fresh for 99 cents if you missed out on this deal last time

Cannot find any dove coupons :( All out on both sites I guess…anyone know where i can get any?

  6. Paulino Rdz says:

Never use (pay with) a RR if you will buy(right away transaction) the same item again, you will not get another RR…only if here advised that you will get RR rolling like they say…but you can pay in another transaction right away any another item…

KCL, I have 6 coupons for the starbucks refreshers to get them free. Can I use them all in the same transaction to receive the RR like do they combine like CVS EB or do I have to do separate transactions?

    • Anonymous says:

if you use all 6 in 1 transaction only 1 RR will print!! so you will have todo 6 separate transactions to get 6 of the 99 cent rewards.

      • Anonymous says:

and you can’t use the RR to pay for the next transaction or it wont print again!

        • Rose Deacon says:

So if I get the .99 cent RR for the star bucks and use that on a different  item., and that item gives a register reward could I go back and use the new RR on  a starbucks.. I know you can’t roll these but could you use it that way…

          • Julie Layer says:

Yes you can, you would not want to buy another refresher in the same transaction that you are using the rr from the first refresher, does that make sense?

            • Rose Deacon says:

yes totally, that is what i thought. I just get so confused with the RR…. Thought I would ask first…thanks

            • Walgreens coupon policy can be very trickiy and confusing at times, can’t it?  I like CVS better.  It’s more straight forward.  But sometimes Walgreens has some good deals…  :)
