Rite Aid Extreme Couponing (week of 5/27): $5.00 or Less

Welcome to this post where we will lay out some extreme couponing deals that will cost you about $5.00 each week! First, here’s everything you need to know about shopping at Rite Aid:

Before shopping at RiteAid you should sign up for a Wellness card or get one in your store.  The best deals at Rite Aid utilize the +Up Rewards and the Single Check Rebate (SCR) system.   In addition to the +Up Rewards, which are coupons that print with your receipt (similar to CVS), Rite Aid sends you a monthly check for the total of all your rebates purchased during that month with the SCR program.  You can cash the check as you would any other check.  In addition to the +Up Rewards and the SCR program, you can watch videos on products and receive Video Value coupons.  These coupons can be printed from your computer after you watch the corresponding videos. You can use each coupon once per Wellness card.   Go here for RiteAid’s updated coupon policy and here to watch the video on shopping at Rite Aid.

  1. Rite Aid gave me such a headache tonight! Apparently there is a new policy that you must buy the EXACT total dollar amount of something to get the +Up. For instance, there was a sale on Advil buy $15 worth and get $5 +Up. The Advil was then advertised as being $4.99/bottle. I bought 3 totaling $14.97. Usually this would still trigger a +Up. Not anymore! Manager told me that it was a new policy change. Not sure if this is the deal across all Rite Aids but I thought Id send out a warning. Another thing I was not aware of as I have not been a Silver member very long but when you earn so many points at Rite Aid they bump your Reward membership and you get 10% off everything. Great right? Well not so great because they take the 10% off before they give you the +Up which means for instance (I actually tried this and had to return everything because of this stupid discount) Dr.Scholls was on sale Buy $25 worth and get $10 +Up, I got something for $12 and another for $13 totaling the $25 it would take to get the +Up but the register took 10% off and made me a few dollars short of the $25 needed. So I had to return them and try it all over again, but in doing so the next highest priced item made me go over the $25 limit needed by about $5. Making it much more difficult to plan my shopping/coupons. Seriously considering cutting Rite Aid out of my rotation! Oh and one more thing the manager told me was that they now will no longer accept more than 4 like coupons even if the coupon doesnt state that limit. Ugh!

In the Tampax radiant box there is a coupon for $2 off Tampax radiant. I live in California and was able to do the deal yesterday. I bought two and used two $2 from a purchase weeks ago. Received two $2 back, making both free =]
