Rite Aid Extreme Couponing (Week of 6/3): $5.00 or Less

Rite Aid Extreme Couponing (Week of 6/3): $5.00 or Less

Welcome to this post where we will lay out some extreme couponing deals that will cost you about $5.00 each week! First, here’s everything you need to know about shopping at Rite Aid:

Before shopping at RiteAid you should sign up for a Wellness card or get one in your store.  The best deals at Rite Aid utilize the +Up Rewards and the Single Check Rebate (SCR) system.   In addition to the +Up Rewards, which are coupons that print with your receipt (similar to CVS), Rite Aid sends you a monthly check for the total of all your rebates purchased during that month with the SCR program.  You can cash the check as you would any other check.  In addition to the +Up Rewards and the SCR program, you can watch videos on products and receive Video Value coupons.  These coupons can be printed from your computer after you watch the corresponding videos. You can use each coupon once per Wellness card.   Go here for RiteAid’s updated coupon policy and here to watch the video on shopping at Rite Aid.

Went to Rite Aid yesterday and scored some FREE Bayer Advanced Asprin!  The regular strength 24-count size was marked down 50% to $1.99 and I had two $2.00 off coupons for any size Bayer advanced.  I also used the Rite Aid Video coupon for Bayer Advanced for $1.00.  It pays to stroll slowly down the aisles and keep a sharp eye out for these gems!

Regarding the +Up Rewards that are now loaded to your card:

They have been doing this in Washington State for a while now and it is poorly thought out.  I opted OUT of the Load2Card option and had the cashier change my card to printing +UP rewards on my receipt like they used to.  At first I liked having the savings come off without having to reach the entire reward amount BUT if you have a coupon and a reward on your card, it will take off the reward and NOT your coupon.  For instance, when the One Touch Blood Glucose Meters were on sale for $9.99, I had a coupon for $10 off but I also had rewards on my card.  The cashier was unable to make my coupon work due to the reward amt on the card.  I told her that that didn’t make any sense, that the Reward could be used for anything but the coupon was only good for the one item and I wanted to use the coupon, not the reward.  She ended up doing some crazy thing and giving me the thing for free but suggested that I change to the print out version if I was going to use coupons.  This all happened about a month ago.  I emailed the corporate office but got no response.  It would work fine if they backed out any reward amount used if a coupon was also used or if they gave the customer an option.  Hope this helps!

    Hi,
I am new to Rite Aid couponing. Thanks for  posting the deals for us! Where do we find out about monthly deals? I got the Schick deal, but the store had mentioned only about 7Up rewards. Where is the information about the 10 Up monthly rewards to be found?
    Thanks,

I have a question about UP Rewards. If I purchase an item like Stayfree and receive a $2 Up Reward, can I decide to use that same Up reward on a Stayfree product and get another Up Reward? Or is Rite Aid policy like Walgreens where you can’t use the same Register Reward for the same product?

  5. I went to RA today did the monthly weekly deal on two different cards only my $10 printed, no 2 $7.00 printed and it dosen’t show on my receipt gonna have to call RA tomorrow boy this is becoming a weekly problem I have had so many problems with them not tracking or not getting my ups, my daughter who lives in Colorado is having the same issues with ups not printing or tracking ie Nature Made last week. is anyone else having any isssues with things not printing. I checked my account online and it dosen’t show them loaded nor did it say it would on my card….Ugh getting so so frustrated.

I need some clarification – remember when they talked about putting a timer on +UP rewards so we had to wait until the next day?  Did that ever become an official thing?  Because if it’s still being tested, then I think it hit my market (Baton Rouge, LA just fyi) because I’m being told this.  Is this happening to anybody else, please lmk!

    • Erin Watkins says:

Michael, I went to Rite Aid today, and the cashier handed me a little flier that explained that +ups would be “load-to-card” starting today.  They are not available to use until the next day, according to the flier.  When I looked at my receipt after purchasing the Schick razors, I noticed that the monthly $10 +up was a regular coupon, but the $7 weekly+up was “added to my card”.  So if it’s still being tested, it hit my market today too (I’m in the Buffalo, NY area).  Not sure how I feel about this!

I was reading on a blog that you have the option to opt out of load2card ups at your RA store or through customer service.

        •  My area must not have this yet, I went online the other day and it offered me the option and I denied it. I usually don;t use mine right away, but I don’t want to add another thing to my list of to dos like checking to make sure they were added to my card. UGH!

I’ve seen packages of o.b/stayfree/carefree with a $5.00 mail-in-rebate peelie for when you buy any two. I found them at walmart so keep a look out to combine with this deal :)

Little confused by the monthly deal and weekly deal.  You stated “if” you can get the deal.  Why wouldn’t we be able to get the deals?

    • Tabitha Enos says:

ALL can get the weekly deal of 2 but not ALL will be able to get the monthly deal as the limit is 4 and they may have reached their limit already

Thanks Tabitha for clarifying my answer – I so appreciate reader’s help!!  You are the best!
