I have a question.  Today was my second time attempting at couponing and I did have some good savings (better than paying full price that’s for sure) but I was confused as to why I didn’t get a RR from Walgreen’s on my second transaction.  This is how it went.
    Transaction #1
Thermacare 2/$11 used 2 $3 off coupons got $3.oo RR

    Transaction #2
    Buy 1 get 1 50% off  10.49
use $3 off coup.  and get $ 3 RR
Used $3.00 RR from Transaction #1
but the $3 RR for purchasing Neosporin did not print and it messed up my transaction #3 which was supposed to be free since there was some great clearance items
    What happened??

Also at Target none of the sales that KLC posted this week were there anymore and there was no stock and I ended up walking out of there with just one thing i had on my list.  I was very disappointed and didn’t have such a good experience for my first time or second time…

  2. omg. My Walgreens would not use my Thermacare coupons cause they would not scan and they did not have 2 bar codes. I went back and looked at my coupons and some have 2 different bar code type things some don’t. Anyone else have issues with coupons not scanning?

    • Anonymous says:

They scanned okay at my Walgreens. Is there another Walgreens that you can try? Did you ask to talk to a manger and let them know that some coupons only have 1 bar code?

I don’t understand how people are getting the $5RR for the Covergirl item with the Venus deal! Can someone explain or is this a regional deal, I’m in FL?

HELP! I want to do the Venus Razor, Cartridge & Olay Deal – JUST found my “misplaced” coupoons :( It’s too late to do this at CVS, right?

I have two of the buy one venus ctrg, get one razor
I have two of the buy one venus refill, get one olay bar
AND a $10 off $30 gillette shave purchase from CVS Magic Coupon Machine…
    oh and a $5 eb & $2 eb
and four $2 walgreens register rewards

ANY suggestions would really be helpful!!!

    • Anonymous says:

Yes, I think it’s over already at CVS…  But since you have the Q from the machine and the ECBs, I’d do one of the deals at CVS…  I noticed they are pricier at Walgreens…  I’d save the RRs for something else and save the other deal for the coming weeks in case the special for gillete comes back either at CVS or Target.  I did the deal at Target yesterday and got $5 GC with the purchase of the razor and cartridge and got the body wash free…  Just check if you also have a $2 off MQ for the cartridge.  I think it came in one of the PG inserts from May…  I also used that one with the BOGO Qs and everything went smooth at CVS and Target… HTH… :D

    • Anonymous says:

Bummer that you missed the CVS deal. I hate misplacing coupons! (I really go krazy looking for them). Walgreens can be pricer than CVS (it really depends on your location). I suggest pricing each store and seeing which gives you the greatest savings.  I would hate to let your $10/$30 purchase from the Magic Coupon Machine go to waste!!

      • Janelle King says:

I ended up making out pretty good on this deal…I went with CVS since I had the $10 off $30 Gillette coupon and a 20% off non sale items coupons. In the end I paid $0.58 cents total for all three items while only using $2 eb :) Thanks for the advice ladies! Happy couponing!

      • Dipsy Gupta says:

Yes. Wags turned out to be a bad deal deal for me . The store manager removed only the price of the razor unlike price of the cartridge that many are reporting here. Ended up paying complete price of cartridge :(

I have been to 3 Walgreens, and called 2 more,  None of them have the Nivea for Men After Shave Splash!  And I don’t mean they are out of it already,,, they never had it,  I am so Bummed. I was looking forward to these for fathers day goodies :(

    • Anonymous says:

If you read the main Walgreens blog post for this week, and the comments, you will see that we all had similar troubles with the Nivea stuff.  No worries – the shave splash most likely wouldn’t have been included in the 2/$7 with $2 RR deal anyways – most things weren’t.

    • Anonymous says:

My walgreens doesn’t seem to carry the after shave splash either:( I though about checking another Wags in my area but I’m glad I didn’t make the drive cause I don’t think any Wags carries them … Katy Tx

      Furstrating!

  6. Just tried to get the deal and couldn’t do it!  The manager told me that it is only on specific items as only some items rang up on sale.  The revitalizing double action post shave balm rang up, but not the cool kick or energy face scrub.  I tried to ask him why when the add specifically excluded two items and was given the biggest run around ever!  He actually said that I had to consider the ingredients in the product to determine if it would be on sale or not!  Needless to say I did not make any purchase today!  But was I wrong?  I felt I understood the ad.  Shouldn’t I have gotten all the items on sale?

    • Anonymous says:

I don’t think you were wrong…  For what I’m reading people have had lots of trouble with the deal…  But it’s funny what the manager said!!!  To check the ingredients!!!  Hahahaha…  It’s amazing all the excuses they come out with when they can’t really explain what’s going on…  I had a cashier at Walgreens, when the Pepsi Next 2-liter bottles deal was on a few weeks ago, tell me that they didn’t have it because Pepsi is discontinuing the product!  Hahahaha…  It had just been released and they even had the coupons!!!  Hahahaha…  I just had to laugh… :-P

    • Anonymous says:

No, you are not wrong. Wow, I have never had anyone tell me to check the ingredients to determine if the product applied to the deal posted in the cicrcular. When I went, I let my Walgreens staff know that there had been reports of problems at other stores. They were willing to price modify the products that were ringing up full price as they believe that their sales should reflect what is posted in their circular.

      • Anonymous says:

Should I bother calling and ask if they will accept the 2 for $7 on the face wash and other items that aren’t ringing up as 2 for $7 considering that the ad says Nivea for Men and only excludes 2 items?

        • Anonymous says:

I think all of the Walgreens have adjusted their signs in-store. The only products that they are applying to this deal (despite what the circular reads) are 2 types of after shave balms and the shaving cream.

  7. Dipsy Gupta says:

Hi ..I wanted to know if the razor deal is still on this week.. I didnt do it last week

  8. julie.g. says:

ANyone having trouble printing out the thermacare coupon?

  9. Anonymous says:

I have a question.  I did the razor deal last week and received the 8 RR.  If I do the razor deal this week and use the 8 RR will I get the 10 RR since they are from the same manu?  Or does it not matter because it is a different deal on a different week?

  10. I’m not able to locate the section that lists next week ads.  Is there a listing for this on KCL?

  11. Dipsy Gupta says:

Mighty awesome elena and lynnlea.. Thanks for posting .. Visiting my wags right away !

  12. Anonymous says:

KCL, you were spot on about next week being lame at Wags…and then this Nivea thing came up!  Very pleased it did, it will be easy to use my RR on Sunday.

    • Anonymous says:

I was super glad for the Nivea deal as well. Next week doesn’t look all that promising either. Hopefully as I do the match ups, things will be better than I expect!

      • Anonymous says:

I realized that I am going to have to do all the Nivea transactions separately, and my RR are $10.  I thought I only had 1 $10 RR, but checking my coupon binder, I actually have two $10 RR…I’m thinking the cashier scanned by $10 RR from my last transaction last Sunday and put it in the bag or something…because I should only have one left.
It is going to be tough to figure out how to use these…
And yes, I looked at next week too…not looking too hot. :(

      • Anonymous says:

As many are saying in this week’s main Wags comments, the Nivea deal ended up being a bust…can’t win them all! :)

        • Anonymous says:

My Walgreens was super willing to work with me with the Nivea deal. They were super busy this morning so I plan to go back to discuss it further with them. They did end up price modifying some of the products which still resulted in the RR printing.

Just left Walgreens in RI and the FREE Venus Razor, when you buy (1) Venus Cartridge up to $12.99, excludes disposables, trial/travel sizes, limit 4 like coupons in same shopping trip from PG 6/3 (exp 6/30) coupon actually deducted the cost of the cartridge, not the razor! So $17.99 was taken off my order instead :)

Same thing happened to me in Florida.

Same thing happened to me in Florida.

    •  I had the same thing happen for me is Kansas.  I also purchased a Men’s Gillette fusion cartridge and used the B1G1 coupon and the register took the cartridge price off plus I still got the $4 RR.  I pointed it out to the manager but he said as long as the coupon scans then he is okay with it.

Also, if you haven’t done the FREE Razor deal for Venus Cartridge and are going to, look for your B1G1 coupon for Olay Body bar, wash or in-shower lotion.  I tried this out today and I was able to get FREE Olay body wash with the SAME cartridge that I used for the B1G1 Razor coupon.  Manager stated that since coupon didn’t state a SEPARATE cartridge had to be purchased and that the Q scanned with no problem, then the transaction was valid.

I got $21 in FREE product because I did this. Don’t miss out on getting your extra Freebie. :D  HTH someone!

      • Anonymous says:

really? I wanted to do this but I know I can’t what if the manager or cashier will not accept it? should I insist that they scan it first before telling me that it’s not valid? I have BOGO cartride coupon get razor free and BOGO coupon get body lotion free too

        •  The cashier scanned the coupon and it went through just fine.  As long as it does, then you shouldn’t have any problems.  It’s not cheating or fraud to use to “Freebie” coupons with the purchase of ONE qualifying item.  That’s how my Wags manager explained it to me.  He said it would only be fraud if the coupon specifically stated that there had to be a cartridge for EACH purchase and the coupons do not so it’s valid.  Give it a try at least once and see what happens.  The only reason I had to talk to the manager was because the cashier was training and asked him a question about the coupons.  If he hadn’t been there and it had been a more seasoned cashier it wouldn’t have been a problem, but at least I know now for the next time.  I’ve always avoided the Q’s in the past because I thought I had to purchase TWO of the qualifying item for it to work.  As long as you have the item in your purchase, then it’s valid.

          Hope this helps you! :D

Hi! I have a question, I start his deal started 6/10?!?!?!?!?! I would LOVE to go to walgreens NOW, Saturday morning here, and do this deal instead of waiting until tomorrow? Can I? Do u know for SURE?

        • Anonymous says:

I think with RR and ECB it’s like a gamble…  Just try.  I’m gonna try at CVS because they have the 10 ECB with purchase of $30 PG products listed on page 9 of the ad.  I just wonder if it will go by the wording of ALL Gillette products or by picture…  And if it’s all, maybe I can even get the hubby the MACH 3 deal as well…  If anyone knows what products are included please let me know…  Thanks! :D

          • Anonymous says:

I think it is just the ones pictured.

            • Anonymous says:

Nope.  It was all Gillete products.  At the CVS I went to they had some Gillettes with the tags (not the ones pictured) and I bought the Mach 3 for the hubby and got my ECBs…  Yay!!!! :D

        • Anonymous says:

The deals generally start 6/10; however, some Walgreens start their Sunday pricing on Saturday evenings.

Just curious, I was wondering why you are not posting anymore the results of your shopping for the week. I was kinda looking forward to it around Wednesdays when you used to post it along with pictures of the items. Thanks.
