Let’s Shop: Results of Week 6/17

As you can see, I took advantage of the great toothpaste prices and stocked up on it this week! I was really excited to try the new M&M’s Sweet and Salty Snacks but I didn’t really care for them. I’m glad they were cheap! I loved getting free popcorn for our family movie nights, too.

I couldn’t find the tear pad for the reach floss anywhere in the store! :( I had a question about the Just For Men Rebate. Can you do the rebate again if you did it 6 months ago? Does anyone know how long it is before a rebate resets or is it just once EVER? Thanks!

I’m confused, this is my first time shoppin using the Up Rewards for Rite Aid. Is this the order you purchased? So buy 2 colgate and then use those for the Pistachios. ANd then use the Pistachio ones for the Popcorn and so on?

I don’t think the posts are always in the order of purchase. You can do the transactions separate like you have listed or look at KCL’s example scenario here: http://thekrazycouponlady.com/2012/06/16/rite-aid-extreme-couponing-week-of-617-5-00-or-less/. I’ve been shopping at Rite Aid consistently for the past month now and have at least $10 in up rewards to spend each week. I try to keep a mixture of different amounts ($1, $2.50, $5, etc.) so I can pay as little out of pocket as possible. Make sure you keep track of the expiration dates since they generally expire in 2 weeks. Hope this helps!

The RR for suave shampoo it’s rolling. The nice cashier told me.

    • OSU Jenn says:

This depends on your specific Walgreens! The one where I live wouldn’t roll but the two in the city I work in did…. wasn’t a huge deal since each store only had a few left & I didn’t want to clear the shelf :)

    Hi, KCL!
I have a question about the RiteAid Pistachio deal:
I think you meant you paid $1.50 each?? So if you bought 3, that would mean $4.50, with $3 +Up Reward?
Or it was $1.50 (for one), with $1.00 +Up Reward?

I keep trying to figure out how the math is working out… and I keep not ending up with $1.50.

The Reward is $1/1, and the Coupon is $1/1. But I think the way you post, shows a trend where you don’t include the Rewards into your “Paid” total, is that right? Maybe I’m interpreting it wrong.

      One more question, KCL:
If it is $2.50 ONLY when you buy 2. How does it work when you buy three?

Is it $2.50 (for the first one), $2.50 (for the second one), and then $2.99 (for the 3rd one)?
Or is it if you buy anything over 2 bags of Pistachio, it makes them ALL $2.50?

    • Anonymous says:

The final price paid includes the reward that we get when we buy the product.  It was $1.50 for three.  hth!

  5. Walgreen’s also has some Suave Shampoos on sale for $1/ea, Buy 2, get $2RR.

CVS red machine printed me out a $5 off Hydro Shick Power razor today. There is a $4 MQ coupon you can use with it, plus you get $3 rewards back! So making it a $3.01 money maker! Scan your red card!

They had the M&M’s snack mix on clearance for $1.40 at my Walmart, so I was able to it for .40!!!

    • Anonymous says:

What did you think of it?  Great job on the price!!

      • Anonymous says:

It was pretty good, my entire family had some and I think half of them liked it and half didn’t.  To me it was good, but I love anything with M&M’s in it.

  8. Wendy says:

I did that deal today also!  I was so excited to get that q!!!:)

Can you roll the register rewards for the toothpaste at Walgreens into next transaction for more toothpaste? Someone said register rewards were rolling now, not really sure what that means. Thanks!

    • if you get the reward from toothpaste don’t use it for another toothpaste the rewards won’t print..I alternate my transaction..colgate then suave then suave to colgate…ten transaction :)

  10. i’ve noticed that everyone one uses the extra bucks earned at cvs when they show their total. i’m not able to use those extra bucks until i’ve completed my transaction. is there a way i can use the extra bucks i earn on a purchase for that same purchase?

    • Anonymous says:

You can if you have extrabucks from a previous purchase/day.  If you don’t have any to start with, you will most likely have to spend some money to get some.  Sometimes, though, there are deals where you don’t have to spend any money upfront and you still get ECBs.

For example, today, when I scanned my card at CVS’ coupon machine, I got a CVS coupon for $5 off one Schick Hydro Silk.  This week, they are on sale for $8.99 and you get $3 ECB when you buy one.  Since I also have a $4 off manufacturer coupon, I can use the CVS coupon and the manufacturer coupon to get the razor for free (only paying tax) and still get the extracare bucks.

      I hope that makes sense!

    • Wendy says:

You can’t use rewards that you haven’t earned yet.  You must buy the item and then after it prints, you can use it on you next transaction/trip.

  11. Jessica says:

Can you roll the rr for the act 2 popcorn…I have never shopped at rite aide b4 but love the popcorn deal

    • Anonymous says:

Yes!  They are not like walgreens.  So since the limit is 2 +UPs, you can buy 2 boxes of popcorn and get $2 +UP and then use that $2 +UP to get 2 more boxes and another $2 +UP.  Or you can buy 4 in one transaction, pay $4 and get 2 $2 +UPs.

      • Anonymous says:

Oh, so when they say limit 2, it means just 2 for that transaction and not 2 per person?

        • Anonymous says:

No, the limit is 2 $2 +UPs per Wellness card and you have to buy 2 boxes of popcorn at a time to get a $2 +UP reward.

  12. I just got done too. Went to Rite Aid, Walgreens and Target. I’m just a beginner so I made a couple of costly mistakes. Like I did not do separate transactions on the Colgate toothpaste at both drugstores and they did not take out the $2 coupon I have for the Right Guard Deodorant. I hope I’ll do better next time.

    • Anonymous says:

Keep in mind that you can make a return at any store, and you can explain nicely how you didn’t know how to get the rr. I’m sure they’ll understand.

KCL, you have Dial Soap in the picture, but not mentioned in the post.

    • Anonymous says:

I got the same Dial Soap at Target using a manufacture coupon and a Target coupon.  I am guessing that is where she got it too.

    • Anonymous says:
