Just got two coupons in the mail from free Kroger brand fruit bars (perfect for a hot day like today) and their new truly awesome frozen pizza.  Super excited to try these new items for free!!!

Does anyone know of a good reference for Food4Less couponing (a discount kroger)??? I would be very grateful! I would love if KCL did F4L matchups.

Never mind, My Smith’s (Kroger) doesn’t start until tomorrow. :)

I bought 10 Candy Bars and didn’t get a catalina?

  5. Anonymous says:

My Kroger had a lot of beauty/hygiene items in the “Manager’s Special” bin that I was able to combine with coupons, making them nearly free. It was located near the frozen foods section in my Kroger but here is a breakdown of what I saw:
*Clear Scalp & Hair Therapy Shampoo or Conditioner-$2.99; combine with $2 off coupon making it $0.99
*Select L’Oreal Eyecare Products-$0.99 (no joke); combine with $1 off any L’Oreal Paris Skincare Item making it FREE!
*Glade Expressions Fragrance Mist Starter Kit-$2.19; used $2.00 off e-coupon loaded to my Kroger card to make it $0.19.
There were several other items but these were the ones I got.
Hopefully your Kroger has them, too or some similar clearance items!

  6. hey there, i’m just wondering if i pay for my first 10 items and then receive a $2.00 catalina can i then use that on my 2nd transaction and still receive another $2.00 catalina for the second 10 items? thanks!

  7. Is there a limit on participating items per transaction this time? Sometimes it’s 30.

I was just at my local Kroger affiliate with all my coupons and transactions laid out for the Daytona 500 mega event savings, and not only are none of the items listed on sale, their ad is for 6/20 – 6/26. Am I missing something here??

    • Anonymous says:

Stores in different areas can begin their sales on different days of the week. It sounds like your area begins a sale on Wednesdays. I bet your Daytona 500 event will begin then. Sorry it hasn’t started yet, but maybe some new really good coupons will pop up btwn now & then.

      • Anonymous says:

You know, I’m sure you’re right. I was just thrown as they’re usually on a Sunday-Saturday cycle here. I’ll check back with them Wednesday and hopefully scarf up. Thanks!

Total score for me today on the Huggies wipes deal. I told my husband that we had to go to Kroger after our little people finished their swim lesson. So glad we did. The shelves were getting a little low on tubs of Huggies wipes. I bought 10 without clearing any shelves. Thanks KCL – we need wipes with a 5 year old and a 2 year old!

I’m happy with the way KCL lists the final price. My Kroger does double coupons up to .50 cents. I think we have to just be thankful that she takes the time to even post coupon matchups and deals. If we have to do our own math sometimes, so be it.

  11. Skinmate has a 55/1 coupon…how cant that be .77cents..most Krogers dont double up to .50cents????

    • SunnyHavens says:

I believe KCL recently started using this method to post prices.  It does make it difficult for those of us that do not double over $.50.  It just takes a bit more math and remembering that her price is not our final price.

Wanted to let you know I was able to use a catalina I received from Giant Eagle for the Magnum Ice Cream bars at Meijer. The catalina read manufacturer coupon ( with GE logo )  & we used it at the self scan. It went through w/ out a problem. :o)

        • SunnyHavens says:

Thanks so much!  That’s great news!  I had some issues at Meijer on Sunday.  I’ve been able to do multiple transactions with the self scan on many, many occasions.  A regular cashier (who knows me well) said that cashiers had a meeting that morning.  They now must limit one transaction per person per visit.  She said that I would have to leave the store and come back inside to scan another transaction.  That sucks!

          • Anonymous says:

That does stick! At least she gave you a work around. My hubby usually goes w/ me ( it’s our friday nite date HAHA) & we have each done transactions to get around the 2 coupon doubles limit. This week I actually ordered some coupons from a clipping service so we could stock up on breakfast sausage. I guess we’ll be taking it to the car & going back for round 2. Thanks for the heads up!!

            • SunnyHavens says:

              Yw

            • SunnyHavens says:

I went shopping with my mother a couple of days ago.  We both rang up and one of us took the bags out while the other waited with the cart.  It was fine.  I even spoke with the manager on duty to be sure it was alright.  She said they limit items like that because they’ve had ladies come in with HUGE carts full of items and lag on a check-out for over an hour at a time.  Yikes.

            • Anonymous says:

Good to know it’s okay to come back in.
              Happy 4th!

    • Anonymous says:

All the Kroger in central Ohio (Columbus) doubles coupons that are up to .99…so a .75 coupon is $1.50, etc.  Our local Giant Eagle and Meijer do the same. :)
But…we typically pay for it at Kroger, because our Kroger prices are usually slightly higher than other areas where they don’t double the coupons as much.

  12. The Kroger e-coupon link says those coupons do not double;
So, the following example would have to be $0.99 right?

    Clorox Liquid Bleach, 82-96 oz $1.99Use $0.50/1 – Clorox Liquid Bleach, Kroger ecoupon – (softcoin.com)Final Price: $0.49

  13. Ali Lee says:

I live in Oregon and i dont think i ever received catalina, only at albertson’s. I tried so many times thinking its a good deal on an item but i never once received. can someone please confirm that catalina coupons print here in OR. thank You!

    • Anonymous says:

It really depends on your store Ali.  Check with the customer service manager to see if your store participates in the Catalina program.

  14. Anonymous says:

How are the Hefty storage bags free?  Wouldn’t they be .44 each?

    • The final price they’re showing is including the the price when you buy ten and the Catalina coupon. I had to read it again because the prices were throwing me off too.

      • Anonymous says:

I may be really missing something here… with both the instant savings and catalina, it’s .50 off each item (wyb 10) so $1.49 -.50=.99 -.55mq= .44  right? Sorry if I’m being dense, but it’s just not adding up for me.

        • My Kroger will double my coupon up to a dollar so it would be $1.49 – .55 coupon – .45 double = .49 cents, plus the .50 cent savings/catalina makes it free.  Hope that helps.

          • Anonymous says:

That certainly does make sense. Unfortunately my “Kroger” is actually Fred Meyer, and they don’t double :( Thank you for clarifying though!

            • Anonymous says:

Same here.  I really don’t like the way KCL is now listing the final prices.  At least it should state that they’re using the numbers as if the coupons are doubling so that those of us whose stores don’t double are not as confused.  Another post from last week for Safeway also showed using a coupon for Betty Crocker pouch potatoes, but the coupon linked specifically said the pouches were excluded.

            • glenda79 says:

Yes I agree KCL needs to do a better job at listing the confusing prices regarding kroger. No Kroger stores in my area have doubled coupons for 2 years. They need to break down the pricing showing the multiplied coupon savings separately. That would make it easier for all Kroger shoppers  to read and figure out. The mega deal savings should be separated too. I know this is more work for KCL but since Kroger has so many different policies and stores, this should be a no brainier.

          • Rose Deacon says:

I am so jealous my krogers only doubles to .50 and you can’t use the coupon on any item that is less than the coupon amount. They won’t even adjust the price
