Well, i’ve been scanning my card like crazy this week and the fruitopia was $1.74 – so I have 4 (2 shampoo, 2 conditioners) for free and also used the $3 Nexus to score free mouse, hair gel, and two free hair sprays.  And I have to go back to CVS after work to get a prescription, and since the machine keeps giving coupons, i’ll keep getting products – love it!

    • Anonymous says:

That’s a lot of free hair care products, awesome job!

    • Edith Chaves says:

I think i threw away the Nexus coupon because i thought those products are really expensive, i found hair spray for $2.99 but it was the travel size & i think the coupon excludes the travel size -_- … was the nexus products you bought the regular size?

  3. I have a quick question, I have been to CVS twice this week, and I havent used my 2.00 off any shampoo, when I scan my card it keeps printing out the same coupon, can I use both of them or is the MCM just printing out what I havent used yet? Im sorry if this sounds confusing

Can I use the coupon if I do not have a ExtraCare Card?  And, when does the coupon expire?

    • Tambra Sims says:

and how many can I use in 1 transaction?

      • There usually isn’t a limit as long as you follow the rules that’s on the coupons.  The ones that are $$ off a $$ purchase usually say you can only use one. Go the the CVS 101 tab and there’s info on that. :) HTH!

      • Edith Chaves says:

i usually limit myself to 1 or 2 coupons that are the same because i feel bad/guilty for some reason… but i think u can use more… i just dont like to because some cashiers get mad or look annoyed if you have tooo many coupons

The only way to get a coupon from the Magic Coupon Machine is to have an ExtraCare Card. The coupon expires 1 week from the day it is printed. Hope that helps!

If you buy 8bottles and like 4 dawn then it turns into a even better MM! Like pay 0 and get the gas card!

    • Anonymous says:

Another great scenario! Plus if you do this scenario, you can purchase all the items in one transaction. If you plan to buy 10 bottles, only 4 coupons can be used in one transaction so you would need to do at least 2 transactions.

    • But does CVS apply overage to the remaining total? I called three stores in my area and they said they are not supposed to, but sometimes it happens because there is a glitch in the software and the cashier doesn’t notice what happened.

    • So if you buy 8 bottles, you’ll need 8 CVS coupons. But you only get one a day and they stopped printing yesterday. I don’t think there will be any more. I managed to get 4. I could have got more but I don’t think there were 8 available to any one CVS customer. I’m bummed. I had it all planned out after melly1205′s inspiration: 8 pantenes, 5 dawns, 4 $3/2 pantene MFR, 8 $2/1 shampoo CVS, 5 25¢/1 dawn, pay $1.60, get free gas card. I just had to get to CVS everyday to print the coupon and cross my fingers hoping they apply the overage. But NOW… There’s always a wrench in the system when I try to execute a complex scenario.

      • Melly1205 says:

I didn’t mean to bum you out.  The 2.00 off shampoos starting printing for me early last week… sunday.  Since I have access to the preview ad I made sure to go everyday last week to get 7.  Plus you don’t need 5 dawn, only 4.  Buy 8 pantene and 4 dawn= 29.96 (as this will still trigger the gas deal)  use 4 .25/1 dawn use 7 2.00/1 cvs coupon use 4 3.00/ pantene and I was lucky that I had 1 1.00/1 any pantene, dawn, or puffs qpon that printed last week as well….. so I paid 1.96 and got the 10.00 gas card.

How come when i bought the Finesse shampoo that was $1.99, the register beeped and the cashier told me i need to get something thats more than $2? :(

    • Anonymous says:

The cashier should lower the coupon for you and allow you to get it for free. It’s in the CVS coupon policy that they don’t give overage. Some cases you will get lucky and get some overage towards other products though.

    • Were you using a self-serve checkout? I advise to avoid those whenever you can. A live cashier has the ability to override things like that. You can politely ask the self-serve machine to adjust your coupon for you but it will probably just look at you like you have three heads.

  7. There are no exclusions on that coupon so you can use it on trial sizes, too.  :)

i know i sound like a broken record but if you have a lot of shampoo the salvation army, women’s shelters, etc. could really use them, this is the middle of summer and a lot of people don’t donate unless it’s around Christmas time. ours loved it when we took shave cream, razors and fingernail polish and remover.

    • Anonymous says:

Thank you for reminding us all about how much donations are appreciated and thank you for donating!

Lol. I’ve only been couponing since March and I already have soooo much shampoo and conditioner in my stock pile. Especially since there’s only the 2 of us at home. Not to mention, I’ve given away some to the rest of my family. But honestly, who can resist free or cheap shampoo?!?! Gotta love KCL!

    • Edith Chaves says:

so do i! i cant resist buying cheap shampoo!!! Although my mom is on my ass that im spending too much money and time couponing but its soo addictive!! I dont think i can stop and maybe i should when i start school again in the fall

I am going by CVS each day to get the $2 off coupon(so far I have gotten 3) from the MCM.  Then I will combine it with the $3/2 off Pantene coupons as they are sale for $6.50/2 and count towards the $10 gas card deal.  If you combine (5) Pantene coupons and (7) CVS coupons you pay  $3.50 for all items and get a $10 gas card!

Lucky thing I have a CVS very close to my house.  And hopefully the MCM coupons keep printing!

    • Anonymous says:

Me too. I have 2 so far. Keep them coming :)

    • Anonymous says:

Sounds like a great scenario, gotta love those Gas Cards!

    • Anonymous says:

I don`t see anything about gas deal with pantene product.

    • There might be a problem with that. The $3/2 pantene coupons from SS 6/24 are limit 4 per trip (per transaction?). I don’t know if they’ll let you do that. Were you talking about a different coupon? If so, where is it? If you were planning on using 4 from SS 6/24 and one from P&G 5/13, the P&G 5/13 expires Saturday, so that won’t work. Can we get around this by doing separate transactions? I believe CVS will remember your shopping history over the week so you don’t have to do everything at once. Is this true?

      • Edith Chaves says:

i think so , it keeps track of everything you’re spending toward the gas card at the end of the receipt, i dont think you have to purchase them all at once
