Walgreens Extreme Couponing (Week of 7/1): $5.00 or Less

Welcome to this post where we will lay out some extreme couponing deals that will cost you about $5.00 each week! First, here’s everything you need to know about shopping at Walgreens:

Walgreens allows one manufacturer coupon and one store coupon per product. You may use Walgreen’s Register Rewards in addition to these coupons. The Register Rewards print like a Catalina on a little machine near the cash register. The most important thing to remember when coupon shopping at Walgreens is that you have to have as many items to purchase as you have coupons, including any Register Rewards you want to use. We often use “filler” (cheap, extra items) so that we have enough items to purchase.

Before shopping at Walgreens, you might want to review the Walgreen’s How To Video. Walgreens is certainly the hardest drugstore to shop, but it has the best deals! What I like most is that you can repeat the deals and get more product. The limits are just one per transaction, so you can get more than one item–just don’t clear the shelves! Here’s a link to the coupon policy.

I did the Mitchum thing yesterday and I was not aware of their policy of only printing out one deals register reward at a time.  I went to the counter with 6 deodorants and I had to get them to redo it all because I messed up.  Also, I learned that you can’t use the register rewards for the mitchum to buy more mitchum.

    Still learning….

What zip code can I find the Mitchum coupon under on coupons.com? I’ve looked and looked and can’t find it….

the nabisco single serve is the 3.8 oz???

  4. Saffraun says:

What was the reason for adding a $0.30 filler on the 3rd Transaction??

  5. Michael Jones says:

The cash register at the local WG wouldn’t take the BOGO coupon for the gum.  Might have been that he got coupons out of order and did the register rewards in the middle…  Still, the second transaction ended up being about $2 and change plus the other RW of $2.00.  :)

Didn’t have enough Mitchum coupons for transaction #3.  The coupons.com stock is gone.

My cashier wouldn’t give me the second $4 RR.. He said one per customer. very unhappy

    • Saffraun says:

If it PRINTS then it should be given to you. I would ask to speak to a manager in that case! If cashiers did that they could be trying to keep it for themselves and no one would ever know

We shop at Walgreens on Tuesday’s, they give Military Discount 15%off on everything and 20%off on Walgreens Brand items.    You must have a valid Military ID or VA Card.   Plus, once per month we get a $3.00 or $5.00 coupon toward next purchase with our AARP Card.

    • Eckabeb says:

This is not at all Walgreens stores though, so don’t be surprised if another Walgreen’s doesn’t uphold that store policy. I’ve worked at 5 different ones in 3 states and only one I worked at had that policy. They’re basically giving you their employee discount.

PS: Thanks for serving for us. :D

      • Eckabeb says:

This is directed toward the military discount, not the AARP one. The AARP rewards/coupons is done at all Walgreens.

Couldnt your purchase 4 mitchum deodorants in transaction 1 so you can get two 4.00 register rewards??

    • Nora says:

If you want the register reward for each one you have to do each one in a separate transaction.  It will only print 1 RR, regardless of buying 2, 4, or even 6 at a time.  if you separate them you will get the RR each time.

  9. Jessica says:

I don’t see the Nabisco coupon on the Smart Source page. Do you think it disappeared because it’s the first of the month?

  10. Couldn’t you use 2 B1G1 Dentyne coupons and purchase 4?  I know the limit is 3, but purchasing that 4th one would probably be worth it to get one free.  Would be nice to know what the PP package would be.

You can use the printable Walmart Mitchum coupon at CVS?

    • Anonymous says:

Read the actual coupon for this.  Alot of times when it says available at walmart it’s just a manufacture coupon and isnt specifically for walmart.

      • Anonymous says:

Doesn’t matter if it’s manufacturer, if it has another store’s logo, you can’t use it at CVS according to the new coupon policy…

    • Anonymous says:

You can’t according to the new CVS coupon policy…  :( I’m disappointed about this too…
