  1. CouponKrazed says:

Has anyone else had difficulty getting coupons from ubykotex.com? My attempts to register resulted in an error message “passwords must be a minimum of 5 characters” which it was each time. I gave up after 6 tries.

  2. Keriberri says:

I just have to brag on a CVS cashier.  I had lunch with my hubby yesterday, so I decided to go into the CVS near his work instead of my usual one.  (Lake Wylie, SC).  The cashier was so extremely nice and actually told me at the end of my several transactions, “Good shopping today!”  Also I had tried to do the CoverGirl ECB and missed that is was lip products only.  She refunded my ECB’s that I had used and my $3 coupon.  She placed them back on a CVS cash card, which was okay since I still had another transaction to go.  I have never had anyone to offer my (value of) coupon or my ECB’s back whenever I’ve made a mistake!  I just thought this was really nice of her to go the extra mile and not act like I was bothering her or making her do “more” work!  Thank you CVS!

  3. Just wanted to let everyone know the CVS coupon machine is printing out a save $3 when you spend $15 on beauty products coupon and you can use it towards the Garnier Deal so you can get 5 items for $6.95 before tax when you stack that coupon with the manufacturers $1.00 off coupons! Just make sure you scan the $3 one first and then it ends up being $6.95 and you get $5 back so its like getting all 5 for $1.95! This is the great deal i got tonight with 3 hairsprays 1 smoothing cream and 1 mousse!

Gotta love that Magic Coupon Machine!

    • Anonymous says:

Mine printed out as $5 off a $15 beauty purchase when I went in today.

      • Anonymous says:

Same here!  I used it toward the Garnier deal (5 shampoos/conditioners at $2.99 each) and added a Nivea Creme Tin ($0.99) so I hit the $15 mark to use my $5 off coupon.  I added a Hershey’s Simple Pleasures so I could use a $5 ECB to pay $0.61 OOP and got a $5 ECB and a $0.67 ECB, so it was a $0.06 MM!

        • Anonymous says:

Thanks for the scenario!  I also received the $5 off $15 and had no clue on what to buy.  All I can say is that with the Garnier and H&S deals this week, I’ll be good on shampoo and conditioner for quite a while!

For all those that buy high value and free product coupons on ebay, check out jill catalo dot com or buisness insider dot com and read about the huge bust made by the FBI today.  In just one of the 12 bank accounts these people had, they took in 2 million dollars in the past 6 months.  Crazy!

  5. Darlene says:

ME TOO ! NO Luck with the H&S the magr. would not let the $9.49 go thru. She voided it an an rang in $5.99 instead. Me also lost $$ and the coupon. Gonna keep them a donate them to the church food pantry. :(

  6. Anonymous says:

I did not have any luck with the Head & Shoulders deal.  Well, I guess I should say I didn’t “get away” with the Head & Shoulders deal.  The cashier must have known about how their systems work because she insisted on typing in the coupon amount for the BOGO coupons instead of scanning them.  I know if she were to have scanned them, then the full amount of $9.49 would have come off.  She did take off the full-priced item, so I paid $3.14 for 2 Head & Shoulders.  Way above my stock-up price, so I am returning them…worst part of it all is that I’m out 3 BOGO coupons :(

I went to 2 different CVS today to work some transactions. 1st one didn’t have any purex detergents, razors or the simple pleasure chocolate.  But I was able to pick up the girl scout cookie candy bars, u by kotex, colgate toothbrushes, organix hair products and a nivea tin.  After work I went to the one by my house and was able to pick up 1 of the razor deals, 2 bags of purex detergents.  When I asked the store clerk where the simple pleasure .67 candy was, he walked around the store with me to look for it and couldnt find it.  Then he was nice enough to go ask the manager if maybe they hadn’t put any out yet.  She came up to me and said they didnt receive any but she would give me the big bag for .67.  What a nice manager, she even made sure to ring up my ECB but rang it up as 1.00. (The 1st store didnt offer me anything – he just said “i have never seen those” So at 2 stores today i purchased $37.28 worth of merchandise, spent $11.38 oop and still have $3.00 ECB.  I hope to go back tomorrow to another store to pick up my razors!
Sorry for the long post – but its been a few years since I couponed and i’m back in full swing and am excited to share.

Great job and welcome back to couponing! I’m glad you were able to find the items you wanted, and also a nice manager to help! Happy couponing!

  8. i headed to CVS for the head and shoulders deal today :) and also found kids toothbrushes on clearance for .66/2pk AND also found a 3pk of Reach toothbrushes on clearance for $1.72/ea pk :) check the prices at the MCM because mine said $1.33 for the kids and $3.66 for reach on the shelf… the best part?? the reach printed a $2 ECB for buying 2 :) not sure why.. but i’m happy!

for the spend $15 get $5 kelloggs deal – does that need to be one transaction? I want to get all cereal and think I may need to go to multiple stores.

    • Anonymous says:

You should be able to do multiple transactions and it should track on your receipt.  Just check after you visit the first store.  If it doesn’t track, they can force-print an ECB for you.  Hope that helps.

    • I did the Kellogg’s deal and it tracked on my receipt.  It didn’t say “Kelloggs” though, just “Grocery”.

  10. Wedinc45 says:

Does anyone if you purchase 5 garnier hair care for $2.99= $14.95…
Will it still issure the $5 ECB or does it have to be the exact $15???

  11. I have a bunch of the CVS $2 off any shampoo coupons that I hope to use with the Head and Shoulders deal.  Will CVS let you use 2 CVS coupons for a B1G1 sale or just one?

***OOPS! Just realized it’s a B1G50% off deal. Nevermind!

    • I’m late on this deal – all sold out at my CVS.  I’ll check at a few others and see if I can score some!

      • I’M SO EXCITED!  Went to another CVS and got the best deal on Head & Shoulders.  $5.99 for one, $2.99 for the second, total $8.98.  B1G1 coupon took off $9.49.  I also had CVS coupons from the MCM last week for $2 off any shampoo so I made $4.51 by buying two.  Of course I had to have other product in the cart to cover the overage but I managed to get out with paying close to tax only for everything.

  12. Anonymous says:

Don’t know if others have already posted on this but I think I got BETTER THAN FREE Head and Shoulders today!  Bought 2 Head and Shoulders @ 6.29 +BOGO 50% sale at CVS which brought my total to $9.44. I then used the BOGO MQ which rang up as $9.49!  I don’t know if I ended up w/ a MM bc I had so many other things in my order that the possible $0.05 MM may have been applied to other things. Woo-hoo!  Along with a suprise $2 off hair accessory and a $1 of Nivea lotion, today was a very good day at CVS!!!!

Check your email! I just got 2 beauty club coupons… $2 off 2 Tresemme & $2 on Maybelline cosmetics

  14. Dipsy Gupta says:

I have a question about CVS 2% back.. I did the gas card deal this
time.. 12$ in cosmetics and rest in tide and tp ..I had coupons for 15$
and paid 15EBs.. How much of this should contribute to my 2%
back? I thought it would be 18(since cosmetics goes to beauty club)  but I see only 10.. Wat am I missing?

    • Anonymous says:

The 2% back is only issued quarterly, so the next time you will get your 2% earning reward isn’t until the fall. CVS keeps track of your earnings online at cvs.com, you have to login to your account to check your total. Hope that helps!

Weird things on my receipt lately.  My Summer 2012 spending was over $65 as of 7/7 and today I did the Garnier and Ocutec RevitaLens deal and my Summer 2012 spending was adjusted to $61?  How is that possible?

    • Anonymous says:

I get just as confused. Sometimes  I receive more than I expect and sometimes less.  Unfortunately I really don’t know how they calculate it.

      • Anonymous says:

It is calculated by 2% of your total spending’s (not including tax). Extra Bucks are issued in $0.50 increments, rounded down. Your savings is tracked on your receipt, and also online in your cvs account. You will also get $1 for every two prescriptions filled (up to $40 for the year).

        • Michellepdl says:

does it calculate your subtotal before coupons though? becuase i got 5.50 back and there is no way i have spent 250 dollars just in one quarter, but it makes sense that is what i spent before coupons

          • Anonymous says:

The amount you pay out of pocket or the amount you pay with gift cards is the amount that counts towards your quarterly spendings.

  15. I happened to buy Q-Tips last week, not knowing about the sale this week.  My CVS had the 300 ct Antimicrobial ones on clearance for 1.94.  They’re specifically listed in the sale, so at BOGO 50% they would be 1.46 ea.

    • Anonymous says:

B1G1 sales don’t usually apply to clearance items, did the clearance Q-Tips ring up B1G1 50% off too?

      • It was last week when I bought them, before the BOGO 50% sale.  But the ad doesn’t exclude clearance and the 300 ct Antimicrobial are one of the two Q-Tips products listed.  I’d think they’d have to honor it, right?  Maybe I’ll give it a try.

        • Anonymous says:

I checked and the clearance Q-Tips are not ringing up B1G1 50% off. I don’t believe they would have to honor the B1G1 50% off for the clearance Q-Tips because they are already cheaper than they would be if they were B1G1 50% off (regular price).

The pop tarts are also part of a grocery sale so today I got 6 boxes of pop tarts for $12 then got 3 – 2 liters of Dr. Pepper for $1 each. I used 2 – $1/3 Pop tart Coupons and then got the 5 ECB so I ended up only paying about .88 cents per item! I could of used the Dr. Pepper coupon but I didn’t have it with me. Boo!

    • Anonymous says:

Great job! Plus, the limit on this deal has been increased to at least 2, so you can do this deal again if you wanted!

  17. The Herbal Essence deal (Buy 2, get $1 ECB) says that the limit is
1/household.  However, after I got the deal, on my receipt, it says
quantity needed earn reward is 2.  Does this mean I can do this deal

Quick scenario question for you CVSers, can I use a general $4/$20 CVS coupon with a $5/$15 Covergirl coupon? I was going to grab a few eyeshadows (well, five and use the CG qs from last weeks P&G) and a couple Aussie shampoos (with a $1/2 CVS q plus the $1/2 mq) if I can use them both at the same time. Thanks!

    • Anonymous says:

In order to use both coupons, you would need to spend at least $35 ($15 of your purchase would need to be CoverGirl products). If you try to use both without spending $35, one coupon will beep. Hope that helps!

HI everyone!  thanks for the help with couponing.  I think i found something that needs to be updated…can you confirm?  I am going for the Kellog’s FF, Raisin Bran Crunch, Team USA cereal/Pop-Tarts deal and went looking for the indicated coupon:

Use $0.50/1 Kellogg’s Total Whole Grain or Raisin Bran from SS 7/8 (exp 8/18)
but i think i found the coupon–it is for General Mills”Total Whole Grain” or “Total Raisin Bran” (in SS 7/8, exp 8/18) and not Kelloggs?.  I know coupons are regionalized and i can often not find certain coupons, or find them with different values, so maybe this is one of those cases.  Thoughts?

    • Anonymous says:

General Mills coupons are not valid for Kellogg’s products, sorry! The coupon has been updated to: $0.70/1 Kellogg’s Choco Zucaritas or Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes Cereal, 14 oz or larger from RP 7/8 (exp 8/19). Coupons vary per region, so you coupon may be slightly different. HTH’s!

I have a question about the Head & Shoulders Shampoo deal.

How does combining the the BOGO Free coupon with the BOGO 50% deal work? I also have a $1.00/1 coupon that printed from the machine last week. What would be the final price for two bottles of the shampoo? These deals always confuse me…

    •  Well I did the deal it worked for me i have got 4 so i use 2 bogo coupons i had $0.51 overage for each 2 that i got… the price for is 5.99 so the second one was 2.99 the bogo coupon takes off the full amount which is 9.49 so $0.51 in overage for each 2 that you buy…. but remember the coupon limit 4 bogo coupons in the same shopping trip

    • Anonymous says:

It will depend on your cashier whether they will deduct the full price item for the half price item when you combine a B1G1 coupon with a B1G1 50% sale. You can stack you $1/1 Head & Shoulders CVS coupon with the B1G1 coupon to get an even better deal. Prices of this item vary per region, but going by the online price of $5.99, purchasing two would cost $8.99 before coupons. If the cashier deducts the full $5.99 and you use your $1/1 CVS coupon, then you could grab two bottles for $2.00. But, if the cashier deducts the half price item and you use your $1/1 CVS coupon, two bottle would cost $4.99. HTH’s!

  31. The Kellogg’s 1.00/2 printable is for Pop-Tarts as well as cereal, so Pop-Tarts would be about .83 each as part of the $15 deal.

  32. Sandra says:

Question about the Garnier deal where if you spend $15 worth of products you get $5 EB back. The breakdown you have here totals out to only $14.95, will this still give you the EB even if it is $0.05 short?! I had a situation once that is was short about that much and I didn’t get an EB because of it.

The Aussie/Herbal Essences deal must have been changed because I did it today.  Got 4 bottles and got $2 ECBs…  AND on the bottom of my receipt it says:  “Quantity toward this reward 4.  Quantity needed to earn reward 2″.  So, I guess the limit per card must be 6, right?  :D

The Olay deal is kinda confusing because it says it excludes Regenerist Base but includes Regenerist Treatments and Kits.  I went to CVS today and I was thinking about getting two Regenerist Regenerating serums with this deal but they scanned 4 dollars off from regular price with the card but no BOGO 50%.  Isn’t the serum a treatment?  I’m confused…

    • Anonymous says:

It’s ok…  I bought other Olay products (I can use them-didn’t need them now) that were on the BOGO 50% and one Regenerist so I made it to the $30 so I can do the mail in rebate…  ;)

      • Anonymous says:

I was also thinking of doing the Olay mail in rebate that says Buy $30 worth of Olay products get $10 back.  It has a picture of the expensive facial creams and things on it but states Olay products.  Can I use it with the soaps and body wash?   it is not specific and I want to make sure they honor it… Has anyone else done this rebate?

  36. MarikB says:

How does the B1G1 coupon for Head & Shoulders work when combined with the BOGO 50% sale?  Which one is free, the one I paid full price for or the one I paid half price for?

    • Anonymous says:

It will honestly depend on your cashier.

      • Anonymous says:

Not really.  I encountered this situation a few weeks ago with the CG mascaras and the manager in shift said I had to get the 50% off as the free one, which doesn’t make any sense to me because I can easily wait till it’s regular price-no advantage towards the customer.  So I called corporate and they told me that I have to get for free the full priced item.  They told me this is the right way to combine the store’s promotion with the BOGO Q.  So I called the regional manager (I have his number because I always have trouble at my CVS-not coupon friendly) and he told me that the full priced item should be the free one.  Corporate and the regional manager told me that if the cashier/store manager doesn’t want to do it this way to go ahead and call them and they will help me while I’m still at the store.  If corporate is closed, they told me to call the follwing day and they will still hellp me out…  HTH… ;)

        • Anonymous says:

Thanks for the info!  I have had cashiers/managers tell me both ways, so it’s good to know that Corporate actually has a stance on this.

          • Anonymous says:

Yes…  And not only corporate, in my case also the regional manager, who is in charge of several stores…  So, his “power” and knowledge goes beyond a regular store manager… ;)

        • Monica says:

The CVS I was at today would not take the BOGO coupon, they said their district office had alerted them to this coupon being a misprint by P&G and they will not take it.  I had to laugh and just left the store, I decided it wasn’t worth the argument when I can use the coupon at Target.

          • Anonymous says:

Hahahaha…  They told me the same with the CG mascaras!!!  And when I spoke to the regional manager in regards of this he agreed with me and said there was no email…  Hahahaha…  It’s funny how the cashiers or store managers make up stuff to justify their ways…  Hehehehe… :-P

  37. Diana says:

For the garnier deal, wouldnt you have to use 5 $1/1 Q’s?

  38. Steph7c says:

I still have the CVS coupon for $4/$20 purchase, so I’m thinking I can use that by buying 6 of the Kellogg’s cereals ($2.50), or 4 cereals & 3 pop tarts ($2.00) if they don’t have enough of the cereal, either of which would spit out the $5 EB, and then also buy 2 of the purex ($1.99) & then just throw in a couple of the Hershey’s for .67 to hit my $20.  Does that sound like it will work?  We go through a lot of cereal, so I’d really like to get some this week!

    • Anonymous says:

Definitely. I’m thinking of doing the same thing, but adding kleenex (4) B1G1 – MQ in SS 7/8  and wet N wild @ .69 as my fillers.

  41. so i got the free sample for purex when it first came out but it didn’t have a coupon option at the time, and now it won’t let me even print a coupon…. Anyone know what that is? I want to do the Garnier Fructis deal this week, the add says you have to purchase $15 of product. In the match up above it says buy 5 @ 2.99 each to get the deal.  Does CVS round up to get the $15 because this would be .05 short otherwise?

    • Anonymous says:

You have to have 98% of the amount, so $14.70 should trigger the ECB.  It is not like at Wags where you must have that amount or more. Much easier at CVS!

    • PotteryChick says:

A while back the MCM was spitting out $1 off any Garnier Hair Care/Hair Color Purchase.  I think I can combine that coup w/manufacturer coup to make this even better.  My CVS lets me use expired coups that are from the MCM so I try to hold on to all of them.  (My CVS also ALWAYS takes manufacturer coups with other store logos. :-$ )  Love CVS!

I dont think it will carry over from week to week. I have never seen a CVS Spend X get X Extrabucks roll from week to week, except beauty club rewards every $50 you spend on beauty products you get $5 all the time! just make sure youre signed up on the site

  47. Dawn Harris says:

I hope the deals pick up soon. My friend decided last well she wanted to start couponing
She’s gonna think I’m nuts if things don’t pick up cause there’s not much to choose from the last couple of weeks. Its harder to roll EB’s when they do the gas cards.

    • Anonymous says:

I agree with you, it is so hard the roll the ECB’s when they have the gas card promo.

    • Anonymous says:

Some CVS stores allow you to get a CVS Cash Card instead of a Gas Card. Not all stores allow this, but it’s worth asking!

      • Dawn Harris says:

I most definitely will ask. I actually get gift cards for the gas station and can use them on anything in their store, but I have always just used them to get gas. She doesn’t have a car so it would be nice if she could just get a CVS gift card instead. Thanks!

    • SunnyHavens says:

IMHO it really depends on how you look at it.  The gas card promo allows us to purchase items with expiring EBs at stock up prices.  Gas is something most of us must purchase anyway.  You have to be out-of-pocket to start rolling again but you’ve invested your money into something necessary and useful, and YOU get to choose when to start the cycle again — not settling for this week’s deal because they’re going to expire.

      • Dawn Harris says:

My cvs takes expired EB’s. I got a lot of free pantene this week with all the $2/1 shampoo crt’s and got gas cards too, but I just dislike not getting eb’s and instead getting gas cards because like you said, I’m going to buy gas no matter what.

        • Anonymous says:

Lucky that you can use expired EBs…  I asked at mine and they don’t accept…  Booooooo…

          • Julia Hunter says:

I started shopping at CVS is the middle/end of the week a few months ago, they were often out of “free after ecbs” items, so I just got rain checks.  Now what is awesome is I have a “stockpile” of rain checks for free after ECB items, so I always have something to spend my ECBs on if they are about to expire.

        • bammabragger says:

I don’t like them either! Not realizing that all the Exxon and Chevron stations in my town have closed down now I have to drive 15 miles to be able to use them. That sucks!

          • Anonymous says:

I would rather have CVS cards than gas cards since I can usually get cheaper gas than Shell or Exxon’s prices for my SUV.

      • Anonymous says:

I agree…  Besides I see not having EBs like a way to take a break from the temptation of purchasing more products…  Lol…  That way when my stockpile is getting low I can start all over again…  Cause if I still have things and they are about to expire I’m going to be tempted to get more stuff!  Lol  :-P  I like the gas card deals especially when they give me a CVS card because either way I’ll still go again to the store and the gas card actually would be like tickles to my tank (I have a 20 gallons tank)…  Lol…  :-P

  48. where is the $1/1 purex coupon on that site anyone?
i am so jealous of the $4/1 pull-ups coupon! it makes me want to drive all the way to cvs just to see if one will print for me!

I am pretty sure that when you log onto CVS.com, you can review your redbox coupons there and choose to print them now, or you can wait and scan them at the box in the store.  :)  I did this and chose to wait until I was in the store so I didn’t waste my paper and ink, or space in my coupon book.  HTH

The purex link only lets you sign up for a sample mailed to your house.  I didn’t see a coupon.  Is there anywhere else to get it?

Vitamin Water 5 for $5  get $1 EB, AAANDD I’d like to share a nice story here! Last Tuesday at my first Dave Matthews Band concert Vitamin Water had a little promotional booth there if you tweeted vitamin water they gave you sunglasses, a vitamin water, a tee shirt, .. and I asked if they had coupons. The girl was also an extreme couponer and was like how big is your binder!? Oh its duck taped at the seams to keep it together! And she gave me a 3inch stack of $1/1 vitamin water coupons I have been searching for since I have started couponing so cant wait to get some starting next week!

    • SunnyHavens says:

So how much of that 3 inch stack can you fit into an envelope and send my way??  :p

    • NiaLee says:

That is awesome! Vitamin Water coupons are hard to come by. Enjoy!

You were very lucky to get them for free! I just bought a bunch on ebay last week.  Idk if they still have them posted but it was a good buy now deal if anyone is interested.  I bought 40 and used them at Walgreens in the 5/5 deal and bought them at CVS.

  52. Does CVS allow you to use coupons stating “Redeemable at Walmart”?

    • Melissa F says:

As long as it is a manufacturer coupon, they should.

      • Anonymous says:

No. According to Cvs coupon policy they will not accept 3rd party manufacturer q’s with another 3rd party logo on it.
A lot of cashiers don’t look at the coupon unless it doesn’t scan so you could get away w/ it. I don’t understand what reason Cvs has for not allowing them.

        • honaker13 says:

As long as the coupon doesn’t say “only at” then you can use it at cvs.

          • Anonymous says:

You need to read the CVS coupon policy again.  It is a newer version that specifically says they do not accept manufacturer’s coupons with a another retailer’s logo

        • Jlsmom06 says:

that’s not a 3rd party coupon… a target web coupon would be a ”3rd party” coupon which they no longer accept

          • Anonymous says:

A Third Party coupon is a Manufacturer’s coupon.  The policy located on the CVS website states:  “CVS/pharmacy coupons (ExtraBucks® Rewards and ExtraCare® Coupons) and Third Party
Manufacturer Coupons are accepted in our retail stores in accordance with the following
            guidelines:

CVS/pharmacy does not accept expired coupons.

CVS/pharmacy will not accept third party manufacturers’ coupons with another retailer’s logo

Coupons cannot be exchanged for cash or gift cards.

Third Party Manufacturer coupons are issued by a third party and sales tax may be charged on pre-coupon price.”
This is just a portion of the policy.

No.  Look at the CVS policy KCL has posted under CVS.  They do not accept Manufacturer’s coupons with another retailer’s logo on them.  HTH

    •  I never have a coupon scan problem with the Walmart logo at CVS as long as it is a manufacturer coupon and the scan code starts with 5.

Have you tried to do it lately?  The updated policy has been out for like 2 weeks already…  This thing is new…  Unless you were lucky and were able to get away with it…  ;)
