Target must want me to shop there often because they sent me another coupon book, this time with a free coupon for bread and inside was food coupons. A few weeks ago I received my first one, it had a free coupon for pepsi and other coupons. The first coupon book expires 7/21/12, so I better use some of them like the 20% off shoes and the other food coupons (for salad, apples, grapes, beeftyson chicken). Love Target.

How do you get the coupon books by mail?  I never get them…  :(

You would acyually have to be a Redcard holder. I am a manager at Target and I coupon, any questions be free to ask. :)

Ohhhh…  That explains it!  Thanks for the reply!!! :D

        • Oh, Annette, I wish you worked at my Target!  If only some of my Target cashiers were couponers.

Well in my case I have a Redcard debit card and STILL do not get ANY coupon mailouts from Target… I so would love to. We also never get any Target coupons in the Sunday paper : ( An one have any other suggestions about how to get these goodies?

        • Anonymous says:

I am not a red card holder. I have been getting coupons in the mail, they are never from the Sunday paper. I thought maybe people in my area are just getting them as a promotion for their renovated stores. I asked my friend if she got one in the mail, she said no. She only lives 1 1/5 miles away. I think they got my address when I signed up for the beauty bag.

They just showed up one day. At first I got a postcard about their renovated stores and I got a coupon for free eggs. The second one was a booklet with some coupons, and a few days ago I got another one. I am not a Target red card holder. My friend who lives nearby said she did not get one. I thought it was for everyone in the DFW area. I’m guessing they got my address from when I signed up for their beauty bag.

Does anyone know if the BOGO Target coupon for the 2-pk. Glade PlugIns would stack with the BOGO manufacturer’s coupon from this week’s SS? I took a look at their coupon policy, and the BOGO section is kind of vague and confusing to me so I almost wonder if it’s a judgment call based on the store or if I’m just misunderstanding it.

At first it says that BOGO coupons can’t stack to make both items free, but then underneath that it says “If a Target BOGO coupon is used, one additional manufacturer coupon may be used on the first item.” So could that additional manufacturer coupon be a BOGO? Or will it ONLY apply to cents off coupons? Does anyone have any experience trying that?

I could really see it going either way, to where the notification that BOGO coupons can’t stack could be only referring to you not being able to use two manufacturer’s BOGO’s in one transaction to make both items free and that the latter half means a Target and a manufacturer would be alright… or I could see them excluding it too.

Thanks a lot! That was a mouthful!

People have done it before because some cashiers don’t know any better. You can not use two BOGO coupons plain and simple. You would have to chose one BOGO coupon and use a cents off coupon for the first item, also you CANT stack a BOGO Target coupon with TWO cents off coupons.

As stated in the Target coupon policy:

      - BOGO coupons cannot be combined.
      - A second (which means 2) cents off coupon of the same type cannot be redeemed towards the purchase of the first item.
      - If a Target BOGO coupon is used, ONE additional manufacturer coupon may be used on the first item.
      - If a Manufacturer BOGO coupon is used, ONE additional Target coupon may be used on the first item.

It is very frustrating when employees try to falsley explain away a coupons validity. I have had many problems at Target when it comes to: sales, gift card promotions and coupons. My favorite inncorrect guess from an employee about a Q not going through… “maybe it wont let you use a coupon because the items on sale?”. NO!!! With a manufaturer Q the store gets the face value plus 8 cents. Jeeze!

a little off topic but couldn’t find an active blog for this anymore.  I applied to NCP a few months back and was accepted.  Got my scanner and have started to scan.  I am in the NW Florida area if that helps anyone trying to sign up.  I am excited to see how the program works.  Any feedback?

I just came back from Target and trying to use their Up Coupon for .75 cents off first aid item, I got the Rubbing Alcohol but the coupon would not scan. I was then told by the cashier that Rubbing Alcohol is not included because it’s not part of the first aid. I looked at her like “really!!” It’s not the alcohol that I am trying to drink that I am buying, it’s the one you use to clean wounds.  Always have problem using coupons at Target, for some reason they don’t train associates to read coupon description and not just look at the picture.

    • Jessica says:

I have the same problem now. My cashier actually told me that I could not combine target coupons with Manufacturer coupons because they don’t allow it anymore. She also wouldn’t let me use more than one of the same coupon for two separate purchases. I was only buying two…not an entire shelf.  The coupon read ” 1.00 off of one…..limit 4 like per transaction.” I tried to read it to her but she said that Target does not allow you to use more than one of the same coupons anymore even if you are buying more than one item. I have yet to go back to Target.

Print off the policy and bring it. Sadly I think it just depends who is ringing you up. So far I have been lucky and have had no problems.

I went to Target today and stacked for the comet stainless cleaner and Almay Makeup no problems. Sorry you had that happen to you. But don’t let that stop you from shopping and getting great deals there..

Target is pretty much touch and go with me.. Honestly I usually just go to the teenage cashiers.. I hate to profile.. but they usually just scan without asking questions.. and when I get one that start to look puzzled I just show them the coupon policy.. Either that or I go to customer service and ask them before I run through the register on which cashier has knowledge in their coupon policy, and that usually gets them looking into it. Walmart on the other hand.. I have the worst luck, I go straight to customer service and let them know I didn’t go to the regular cashier line because I find that customer service is more knowledgeable in their policy.. they seem to take it as a compliment and actually try to help me, and are much more friendlier.

      • Melanie says:

Just wanted to chime in and say it’s not just you with Walmart either lately… I cringe every time I have to redeem coupons there! I swear the cashiers look at you like you’re trying to rip them off sometimes. I had one hold me up for about 20 minutes a couple weeks back when I was trying to get .99 cent Cutter candles for free. I couldn’t believe it!

        • I refuse to go to Walmart now even if they have the best deals.  I’ve had a couple of bad couponing experiences.  I’ve decided it’s not worth the headache.

          • Anonymous says:

I agree…  I only go when the item has overage or if it’s going to be completely free… But if they give me trouble, I just leave everything there and leave…

I hate shopping at Walmart!!!  Always have and will always do…  And it’s even worse when you have coupons…  I had trouble with the cutter candles too…  I was getting 4 and the cashier told me I can’t use them all because it said on the Q “one per purchase”.  I told her that that means one per item but she started being very rude so I told her that we can do 4 transactions if she wishes…  And then she saw the Qs for the Black Flag, which I was getting 7, and same thing.  I called the manager and ended up in customer service…  With all the mess, they didn’t scan like 2 Qs and had to reopen the other register and ughhhh…  To chek out took me like an hour and I was only getting those 12 items!!!!  Incompetent employees is what Walmart has…  And I guess it’s because they don’t train them well enough…  The manager didn’t even know the difference between “item”-”purchase” and “transaction”!!!!  He had to ask another associate there!!!! :-o
