$2.00/1 – Cottonelle Ultra Comfort Care Mega Roll Bath Tissue, limit one per guest, Target Coupon – (cottonelle.com)
(share on Facebook or email 3 friends to get the $2.00 coupon)

Have you ever wondered why animals are associated with toilet paper? Puppies and bear cubs don’t make me think of the softness I want on my tush. I think of the messes they both create! Maybe that’s the point? Anyway, I saw this deal on Cottonelle toilet paper last night. They’ve lowered the price plus included a gift card deal! After some coupons, you’ll pay just $0.22 per roll! All varieties were included in this deal, but you’ll get the best on the Mega Rolls! (If you’re wondering how $12.98 divided by 32 equals $0.20, it doesn’t. These are the double rolls, so I divided by 64. :) )

As with most Target coupons, you’ll need to bring someone with you to use more than one.

Buy 2 Cottonelle Ultra Toilet Paper, 12 ct mega rolls $10.49, sale price through 7/21
Buy 2, Receive $5.00 Target Gift Card, through 7/21
Use one $1.00/2 Cottonelle Toilet Paper. 4 packs or (1) 9-pack or larger from SS 7/8 (exp 8/12)
And use two $2.00/1 – Cottonelle Ultra Comfort Care Mega Roll Bath Tissue, limit one per guest, Target Coupon – (cottonelle.com)
Pay $15.98, Receive $5.00 Gift Card
Final Price: $5.49 each, when you buy 2

At first I thought this was a great deal too, but after comparing the true size of the rolls, this is not the best price available.  I think the only way to really evaluate the price of toilet paper is to price it per sheet.  Not every “double” roll is the same size.  Angel Soft puts more 2 ply sheets on its double rolls.  The Cottonelle “mega” roll is actually smaller than an Angel Soft double roll.  Quilted Northern is somewhere in between.  It would have been cheaper to buy a regular-priced pack of Angel Soft than to buy the Cottonelle.  I’m going to be on the lookout for Angel Soft coupons.

I did it today and my Target allowed me to use 4 coupons. 2 different transactions. Its all about what cashier you have. My cashiers are really nice.

  3. Halina1975 says:

I tried using two $2 TQ and the $1 MQ on two 12-packs of Cottonelle, and both of the TQ beeped during checkout and would not be accepted. The cashier rang them through regardless, saying that here (in Madison, WI) up to 3 coupons could be used per one Target product. But I have no idea why the $2 TQ had to be overridden…

  4. Khetsirin says:

Just went to Target the legends Kansas city. They only let me use 1 coupon $2.00. Cashier she said 1 coupon per guest.

  5. dont know if any one has said this already but one of the cashiers at Target said that the mega packs of the paper products are always buy 2 get a $5.00 gift card back even if it is not advertised. All except one brand, and I know it’s not Viva or Cottonelle

I did this deal today but I combined it with the b1g1 glade oil and it cost me less. Unfortunately I only had the .50/1 manuf coupon but it still worked out great! They had glade oil clearanced at $4.14 so I bought 2 and used my b1g1 tq & b1g1 mq. I made $2.60 because the tq takes off $4.89 and the mq takes off $5.99! I bought these in the same transaction as the cottonelle toilet paper so my overage went toward them! I used 2 of the $2/1 tq and 2 of the .50/1 mq. Total was 13.98 plus I got a $5.00 gift card which ends up being $4.19 a piece. I used my $5 GC towards the 10/$10 sobee water so I got 10/$5 plus a $5 GC making them free :)

    Thank you! :)

This was a really good deal. I bought these and I gave in $5 worth of coupons. After that I got a $5 giftcard. With the giftcard I bought a video game for my daughter. I also found a $10 coupon on target.com. This was a really good deal for me!

  9. Kayla says:

Math is still a little wrong! I got 4.99 for each pack. The manufacturer says 1.00/2 4 packs OR  (1) 9 pack or larger. You can use 2 manufacturers!

    10.49 x 2 = 20.98
    Subtract 2 Manufacturer = 18.98
Subtract 2 Store coupons = 14.98 (if your store allows you to use 2)
    Receive 5.00 Gift Card

    Makes it 4.99/package.

The worst possible scenario for this deal is if you have the 0.50/2 (use 2) manufacturer and your store only allows you to use (1) 2.00 and (1) 1.00 store making it 5.99/package after the 5.00 gift card. I still think that’s a good deal :)

  10. Just an FYI, target must be getting ready to change their coupon policy to use only 4 like coupons for any item like other stores.  The computer has not been allowing more than 4 for the past few weeks.  I went to the manager and spoke with him and he said that there is not a limit on how many you use, it must be the coupon.  I explained it was not the coupon, there were no limits on the coupon.  He said, well I have the right to limit you anyway!!!!!  I won’t be hitting target too much anymore.  I don’t need the hassle!!!!  One cashier said the couponers were abusing the system by purchasing with coupons and then returning the items for the money, so my target does not like us too much anymore!  Oh well!  I hope walmart doesn’t follow!!!

    • Lovin Summer says:

      but why are you yelling?

    • Anonymous says:

Target recently changed their coupon policy as of June, only allowing you to use “4 identical coupons per household, per day (unless otherwise noted on coupon)”

    • Dianne Buquet says:

I shopped Target yesterday. Bought 14 bottles of vinegar at $1 each and used 14 identical SS coupons at $1 each. No tax. No questions. No beeps. No problems.

      • Holly Keney says:

LOL what are you going to do with 14 bottles of vinegar?

      • Lovin Summer says:

wow, that’s awesome. I bought some of the Comet and wanted to get a fifth one, but the machine “beeped” and it read “too many identical coupons, limit 4″ and the cashier said to me that at times customers will use coupons and return the items for a full refund! unbelievable…damn ppl ruin it for others.

    • Lil_dixiedarling says:

My Target has been limit of 4 like coupons for quite some time now.

  11. Leanna says:

The math on this isn’t right.  If you are using two $2 coupons, then the total would be $15.98 and with the $5 gifl card it is $5.49 each, not $6.49.  Am I missing something?

  12. i wanted to know if i use 2 target $1/1 coupons and 2  on any Cottonelle bath tissue $1/1   in one transaction , I’m new too couponing,

  13. Is this a better deal than the Walgreens deal where the 12 pks are $3 each after MQ and Wags Q?

  14. nichole says:

    wouldn’t it be:
use 2 $1.00/2 Cottonelle Toilet Paper. 4 packs or (1) 9-pack or larger from SS 7/8 (exp 8/12)

since the coupon is $1/1 NINE PACK OR LARGER so u could use 2 of those plus 2 of the targets.  good luck coupon people

  15. Guest says:

you only have to share through email (no biggie), not through facebook which would be kinda EMBARRASSING HA HA HA HA

  16. Jesika says:

I still have manuf coupon for $1 off each!! woohoo even cheaper!

  17. Kayla Gross says:

    is this better than costco?

    • Cosco is good although you end up paying allot more on everything than at a regular store with no coupons but if you use coupons and avoid cosco altogether you will see savings.

    • Anonymous says:

IMO, this WORKS/FEELS better than the Costco ones.

My parents always ask me to try to coupon for toilet paper that doesn’t act as sandpaper on our butts.

  18. Sherry Janis says:

when you go to the print page it says ‘share to receive $2 coupon’ print that, then reload and click ‘no thanks’ for $1 coupon. :) I printed both.

  19. chrissie says:

Kmart has a better deal going on right now.  They have cottenelle 12 double rolls for $4.99.  When you buy 3 you automatically save $3.00 plus if you spend $25 you can double the $1.00 mq making them 1.99 each.

  20. Anonymous says:

I also did this yesterday. I use two MQ for $1 off and 2 TQ for $2 off. It went with no problem!!! I was also worried about that I may not be able to use 2 $2 TQ, so I print and brought $1 TQ just in case.

  21. Summabeanz says:

    Can you print this twice??

  22. Melyssia Blair says:

Ok just a question, if I use the 2 TQ can I use 2 MQ thats $1.50 off Cottonelle and one flushable wipes? So I would use 2 TQ and 2 MQ I would have 2 toilet papers and 2 wipes is that wrong in anyway? By the way I printed that Cottonelle Coupon with wipes off this site…

  23. Anonymous says:

I did this deal last Sunday and my target allowed me to use two $2 coupon (TQ) plus MQ. The cashier scanned both and they beep without problem. At least it is worth a try!
If your Target allows you only one coupon, print 1 $1.00 coupon and 1 $2.00 coupon. They have different barcodes.

  24. Jenae says:

Wondering the same thing. I know my Target won’t go for that. They are very strict with the coupons.

  25. Kr Brum says:

Wondering the same thing, since you can only use 1 and you need to buy 2 to trigger the gift card.

  26. Goretti Tada says:

How can you use 2 TQ if you’re only allowed to use 1 per person per transaction?

    • Anonymous says:

I did this deal this weekend and if you click on the link, you have the option to go to the $2/1 TQ, once you’ve printed that, you can reload the link and print the $1/1 TQ. So $1 more OOP, but still pretty good, I think. (I actually used $1/1 IP mq’s, but I believe that’s NLA). hth

    • Anonymous says:

That’s why I told you to bring a friend! Shopping is always more fun with a buddy anyway :)

      • AB64 says:

But in order to get the gift card, you need to buy 2 TP’s in 1 transaction. Having someone else with you doesn’t discount the “1 per guest” on the TQ. That person would have to purchase the TP separately. Have you found this not to be true?

        • Anonymous says:

One per guest is the same as one per person. As long as the coupon doesn’t go on further to say one per transaction, you should be able to use two coupons in the same transaction, assuming you have a person with you old enough for Target to consider a customer.

          • AB64 says:

Seems like a semantics issue that might cause some trouble at the register. Oh well, I’ll give it a shot :)

      • Anonymous says:

Or bring your toddler :) it helps break the ice and somehow the cashiers are more likely to let me get away with using more coupons
