I’m sure all our houses are full of fresh scents already, but in case you haven’t heard, one of the Glade Expressions Fragrance Mist refills is ringing up $1.50 at Walmart! I tried this out last night and was able to score the starter kit for free, and I made enough money on the refills to buy a box of Magnum bars (my guilty pleasure indulged only when there’s a coupon). The only refill scent ringing up at $1.50 was Fuji Apple & Cardamom Spice. Again, the refill ONLY, not the starter. Great news on the starters–they’re all $1.98-$2.00 so make your house smell good for free!

Walmart’s corporate coupon policy expressly allows overage to be handed back to you in cash or applied to the rest of your basket. Make sure to print a copy of their coupon policy and take it with you in case you have any problems!

does anybody know if the starter kit is still ringing up for free?

  2. I don’t know why they even bother getting upset about our coupons because ONE, it’s not coming out of their earnings and TWO the company get’s the money back from the manufacturer,so they are not loosing any money. All they are doing is driving customers away really.

  3. Ashley says:

I don’t know if Walmart messed up and I got lucky or if it’s normal (I’m new to couponing) but they matched both of my coupons so not only did I get two starter glade sprays for free but they also paid me $4 ($2 for each coupon) I made a $4 profit!! Haha

Since Walmart doesn’t have a true sales cycle, this should still be active. These coupons are from the paper.

  5. where are the coupons? newspaper or online? i only found 1.00/1 online

  6. is this a newspaper coupon, or online?

  7. Kikisaver says:

Oh, my bad….we didn’t get the MQs from the paper in our area so we only had the printables, so if you did then this deal will work for you. Lucky you!

  8. Kikisaver says:

Yeah, this deal doesn’t work because the coupons won’t scan. Walmart doesn’t take printables that won’t scan. Nice idea though….

  9. Kimwhitegrimm says:

does anyone know if this is good for today Sunday the 22nd or if this is over?

  10. Melissa says:

I was able to find some of the refills on clearance for $1.00!!! I had some $2.00/1 coupons and was able to score some $1.00 money makers.. plus I still had some $1.00/1 coupons for the refills and was able to get some more for free!  I love Glade Expressions so I was super excited to stock up :)

My walmart( Newark, NY) was totally out of all refills.  Crazy! even though they had started to bring things out to restock( was there around 8:30pm), they would’nt look to see if they had more. So I got a starter kit for .98 after 2.00 off coupon.  Not a bad deal, but would have liked to get them for free or had overage( I have 5 more coupons to use).

  12. Littleteau says:

There were four refills at my walmart. I purchased them and got back 50cents for each after using 4) $2.00 coupons. nice deal. Was hoping to pick up a few more but they had a limited supply.

  13. I found this at my Walmart in Tn. on Wed. for $1.50 and got 12 so I made $5.50!!  Hoot Hoot!!  I love these deals.

  14. Kikisaver says:

These coupons wouldn’t work at Walmart…any internet printables that beep they won’t accept, so these were a no go for us….bummer :(

    • Bsman says:

We have 3 Walmarts fairly close to us and none of them will accept internet coupons …. and if you were expecting the refund for an overage, you would be disappointed… Getting most of them to price match is like pulling teeth…..If we did not live in a small community where Walmart owns the market, I would not even go there!!!!

  15. Another moneymaker at Walmart is the Polly Pocket convertible. They are listed at $5, but are ringing up $1. I used the $5/2 coupon and made $3 :)

    • nargisfarooq says:

what r poly pocket n where can i find it at wall mart , also what inserts r these mqs.

  16. Dbhooper90 says:

I went to Walmart last night and used my coupons for this deal….I was able to get 6 starter kits and 6 refills and at 15.00 pack of toilet paper for 3.84…and this was the first time couponing for me!! And I just wanted to say thanks for everything on this website it has really helped me understand a lot about couponing!!

  17. Michellem Fonseca says:

Go to Target, where ALL the refill scents are FREE! I had no problems with the cashier!!!! And they are much nicer at Target!

    • tracey says:

Thank you for posting this.  After my disappointment at walmart last night (got one starter kit for $ .98 after coupon) I took your advice and tried Target today.  I picked up two of the pineapple and two of the apple refills which were $1.99 each so free after the $2.00 off coupons!  Actually I made $ .04 off the 4 –

  18. My store only had “lavender & juniper berry” on sale for $1.50. I got 2 refills and a starter and they paid me $1 to do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  19. Holli Smith says:

The only ones that were $1.50 at my Walmart were the purple ones, they were out but I would NOT have gotten them anyway, they STINK!!!!!!!!! BUT I must say I love the other 3 scents and was lucky enough to get around 80 refills free and 10 starter kits for $.97-$.99/ea! Thanks KCL

  20. Leah_sikee says:

    oops sorry wrong page

  21. Illi-anna says:

I used one of the printable coupons at Target and it worked just fine then tried to use at HEB and they said it wouldn’t scan or didn’t have a real bar code and wouldn’t accept.  Why is it that some don’t have the bar code and some do.

    • ana says:

i have the same issue at HEB! but the cashier enter the coupon manually i think it wouldn’t scan because the coupon amount was greater than the price of the product.1st transaction i score 6 apple refills and 1 apple starter kit, 2nd transaction 6 pineapple refills and 1 starter kit… OOh they just deduct the $1.98 for the refills not the $2.00 and on the starter they took $2.00 (amount of coupon)

  22. tracey says:

So disappointing when I see these great deals posted then go to the stores in my area and our prices are higher! I was able to get one started set (pineapple…) for $ .98 after my coupon, but all refills were sold out.  Still a good deal but I had hoped to stock up for free. Darn!

  23. Christpl38 says:

that was last weeks ss? i don’t have any of the glad coupons. Maybe i am looking at the wrong inserts. does anyone else not have them?

  24. Hillarey says:

I live in Rancho Cordova Ca,  and they are on the clearance shelf for $1.00. love this I had 6 coupons so i mad $6.00

  25. rima84 says:

Just came from Walmart, Apple & Cardamon refill ringing up $1.50. The rest refills were $1.98. Not Sure about Lavender & Juniper though, it was ‘Out of stock’. Cotton & Italian Mandarin, and  Pineapple & Mangosteen starter kits were ringing up $2.98. Apple & Cardamon, and Lavender & Juniper starter kits were $2.00 each. I am in Northern VA.

  26. Ttbydonna says:

I  just went to 3 different Walmarts in my area and they were out of the refills because they are doing a reset Monday on this item…..really wanted to use the $2,00 coupon :(

  27. Lalinda82 says:

Sadly, I’ve had to fight with the stores over their own coupons policy.  Even though it’s stated in black and white, the cashier, head cashier, supervisors, and in one case the store manager can’t get their head wrapped around the idea of give me the cash or roll the overage into my total bill (the explanation is usually something along the lines of “that might be on the web site, but that’s not how we do it here”).  This isn’t even one store, but multiple stores.  I call Walmart corporate and complain and the Walmart phone CSR will never 2nd guess the store, except to agree what their coupon policy obviously states.  I’ll then get a call back from the store manager in a day or so apologizing for the ‘confusion’ and reassuring me that everyone will be reminded/retrained on what their coupon policy states.  Sigh, very frustrating, since I try to time the overages with _other_ purchases I already need to make, so I won’t be walking out the door with a wad of singles.

    • forever7 says:

My walmart all of a sudden doesn’t give overage either. I emailed corporate, then the had the assistant manager of the store call and they backed up what the cashier and supervisor said. They stated they have had too much coupon fraud!?!

      • Kikisaver says:

Their policy doesn’t reflect that change, so hopefully you took the coupon policy with you and showed it to them.

  29. Lpribanick says:

How do you get coupons from SS from other dates?

  30. Barton Z says:

    headed to walmart now

  31. Ihavanangel04 says:

the lavender and juniper refills were $1.50 also at my walmart

I saw these at Walmart yesterday and most of the starter kits had a”Try Me Free” hang tag so they would actually be a MM. Also, I tried to price match two Zebra pens ($1 at Staples) and use two $2/1 coupons but the cashier said she could only let me use one coupon because they would not give me overage. I didn’t want to make a fuss so I just said ok as I was getting them free anyway.

    • Barton Z says:

      cant beat free!! thats great

    • amanda says:

I tried to print the rebate form from the website it tells you to go to and it tells me it has been removed (or something like that).  Were you able to print a rebate form?

    • Andrewamyb says:

ugh… thats crazy! i price matched it and got the overage (8 packs!) with no problem. i would call corporate and then call the salaried manager at the walmart and get YOUR money that is due to you! cashiers can not make up their own rules.

    • Lori says:

I had my local Walmart price match the Zebra pens and then used the $2/1 coupon as well…my cashier acted very annoyed with me, saying I was taking advantage of a coupon (in a negative way) and should not ask people to do things for me….wait, what? I thought that’s what cashiers do is match prices, ring coupons, and provide an overall decent experience for the shopper…?

      • Tatatech1 says:

        Eeerrrr!!!! I hate rude associates!!!

      • Anonymous says:

I hate being looked at like I’m taking advantage of it too…I mean I was only trying to use two coupons and not 6+.  I don’t even bother trying to inform them that it’s in their coupon policy because I just want to get out of there.  At Walmart, I find that I have to “cashier profile” more often in order for my transaction to go smooth.  I’m just trying to save a buck!

        • Jdaz2012 says:

I totally agree, Walmart is the only place I have to cashier profile and worry about who’s going to give me a hard time.. That’s why now I go straight to customer service and I ask politely if they are familiar with the coupon policy, and if not if I can have the assistance of a manager that is familiar with it.. I’m actually thinking about applying there and working there myself so I can let everyone know about the coupon policy or, make a friend there just so they can ring me up with all my coupons when they’re working.. LOL

        • Lauren says:

I always make sure to bring my coupon policy with me and use it to my advantage i’m not afraid to ask for a manager or even to call corporate and I have even spoken to a regional manager before and they always end up telling me i am right and appoligizing!

    • Cbjb26 says:

not true! I just went to walmart the other day and got .50 cents per refill back. crazy cashiers

    • they told me the same thing im like hey frees ok

  33. Barton Z says:

all my coupons are showing $1.00/1
