Walgreens Extreme Couponing (Week of 7/29): $5.00 or Less

Welcome to this post where we will lay out some extreme couponing deals that will cost you about $5.00 each week! First, here’s everything you need to know about shopping at Walgreens:

Walgreens allows one manufacturer coupon and one store coupon per product. You may use Walgreen’s Register Rewards in addition to these coupons. The Register Rewards print like a Catalina on a little machine near the cash register. The most important thing to remember when coupon shopping at Walgreens is that you have to have as many items to purchase as you have coupons, including any Register Rewards you want to use. We often use “filler” (cheap, extra items) so that we have enough items to purchase.

Before shopping at Walgreens, you might want to review the Walgreens How-To Video. Walgreens is certainly the hardest drugstore to shop, but it has the best deals! What I like most is that you can repeat the deals and get more product. The limits are just one per transaction, so you can get more than one item–just don’t clear the shelves! Here’s a link to the coupon policy.

Sometimes Walgreens drives me crazy!  I looked & looked for the aleggra rebate form & couldn’t find it.  The cashier didn’t have a clue!  Just spent a hour on the phone & computer to be told  ” I understand your concern Catherine, however at this moment there is no rebate promotion for that particular product. “.  Why do they advertise something if there not going to follow through.  I realize some things are reginal, but then don’t advertise it in this regions flyer!

Nothing of interest at Wags for me….

Has anyone else been told that you can only do 2 transactions now at Walgreens? They said it has been in effect for at least 2 months, but I have only been shopping there for a month and almost always do 3. Nothing about it in the coupon policy, so I was just wanting some feedback.

That’s not part of the Walgreens company policy but a rule that particular store made to help keep the lines clear. Some stores, when they have lots of couponers, will set a RR or transaction limit to keep things flowing when busy.

My hubby always uses hydrocortisone and when I got  the Cortaid for free at CVS a few weeks back, I was very happy but he’s used it and he’s disappointed too because he said it’s not as good as the store brand hydrocortisone :(

In the back of the August coupon book there is a form you can send in.  Even better, you can go online and submit your rebate!  Look in the back of the August coupon book for instructions.  I always pick a gift card as my rebate and get an extra 10% put on it for that choice.  Since I shop at Walgreens so often it is always used!
