I had trouble too at riteaid not on sale 11.99 so I went over to Target and they had it for 9.99 less the 10.00 coupon= free

the lady pharmacist is really nice she said that in the box is the machine and 6 lancet. She said there is no strips. That is where they get you. Can be very costly for the strips and it only works with this brand. Warn me not to use other/diff brand stripes.

You can get them at Wal-Mart as well. I had to go to the pharamcy to get it because it was behind the counter, but it was $9.72.  I hope this helps.

They are all sold out everywhere at all the stores that I’ve been too…I was trying to get one for my parents and in-laws, but unfortunately for those folks that don’t really need it just cleared the shelves. How sad for those folks that really need them.

Yeah, I haven’t been able to find one anywhere for my friend. People are really selfish..

Precisely why I like rainchecks. I don’t buy meters b/c I don’t have diabetes and I like to leave them for people who do.

  7. Aiah23 says:

Honestly, as a diabetic who tests my blood sugar frequently, getting a free meter means nothing.  We get them for free from our diabetic educators.  Where diabetics really get stuck is paying for the test strips, not the meter.  It’s like getting a down comforter for cheap, you end up spending the money to get it routinely dry cleaned and the cost of that far outweighs what you spent on the down comforter in the first place.  So unless you’re donating meters AND strips, you’re not really helping indigent diabetics…

    • Guest says:

As a diabetic, I also have quite a collection of meters.  The benefit is that you usually get a small bottle of 10 strips included with the meter.  It is possible that not all meters come with the strips, but if I can possibly get even 10 strips for free it is valuable to me especially when I am paying for all of my supplies out of my pocket.  Since meters are so easy to come by, I am really purchasing these to get the free strips.

    • Samantha says:

That is what my grandfather said when I asked him about getting this. I did also think like the guest though and hope there are at least some strips inside.

  8. Caitlin says:

my rite aid doesn’t have them on sale :(

my walgreens manager was very concerned with people getting these for free and then trying to return them.  seems they have had problems with this before.  maybe this is corporate’s concern also.???

  10. Dorothyhreynolds says:

I cant fint the coupon anywhere…

    • If you can’t find it in either of your Red Plum inserts from yesterday, it was probably a regional coupon that you didn’t get. However, if you don’t have the coupon, there is a mail-in rebate inside the packaging. You can’t mail it in if you use the coupon, but if you don’t have the coupon, you might as well send in the rebate!

Walgreens Store Manager told me Corp advise them not to accept the $10.00 off coupon. What can i do

    • Mahreebel says:

exactly why I avoid Walgreens for any couponing! Hoping you have a CVS or a Rite Aid nearby they’re more coupon friendly!

    • Kristensteele28 says:

If someone refuses my coupon or won’t follow the rules I just say thank you very much and leave and go to another store- and it always ends up workin somewhere :)

      • Kikisaver says:

Same here, Kristensteele28….someone else will appreciate our money and our business….I have the exact same philosophy, and I always keep smilin’…

    • Kikisaver says:

Try a different Walgreens, or just go to Rite Aid. I get different “policies” when I go to Walgreen’s…
